This is certainly a strictly run site and some would say the better for it. You'll have to go far to find another site quite like it. However it is remote and may not therefore be the best choice as a base for touring Cornwall. Every sortie requires a 9 mile drive to St Austell before starting the day - unless of course you enjoy navigating mile upon mile of single lane, blind bends!

If the weather is fine it would be hard not to enjoy a stay on the site. But when the weather is not so good it is a trek to get away.

Access to the site has not changed much over the last thirty years and the quite long single lanes approach is not for the feint-hearted. Large outfits skilfully driven can make the journey but we came across the most horrendous 'tangles' as outfits tried desperately to find a safe haven in one of the few passing places!

The facilities vary. In the new camping field where the splendid large all services pitches are found (naturally more expensive here) it would be hard to fault the toilets, showers etc. Unfortunately the press button showers get hotter and hotter until unbearable. This works OK if you are ' first in' but is a problem if you are not - especially so for youngsters. The facilities in the original part of the site are old but well kept although beginning to look a bit 'sad' now. The cleaning team were excellent and deserved five stars for effort and friendliness.

Reception is friendly in a very business-like way and strictly implements all of the campsite rules and conditions. It might improve by exercising a modicum of discretion from time to time. For example to extend a stay for an hour or so beyond 10a. M. Incurs, without exception, half a days fee!(check out the small print!) Fair enough but when most of the pitches are unoccupied maybe just a charge for electricity might be more appropriate?

Absolutely no doubt the site is well maintained and there is a great playing field, with tennis nets, a little child's playground and a small crazy golf / putting area. There is a new small cafe area which has probably become essential to service the growing number of static caravans / lodges. We ate there once and found the scampi and chips, fish and chips and pizza quite acceptable along with the prices. Gorran Haven sports an excellent Gourmet Pub if you want something a bit special.

Hemmick beach is about 3/4 mile or so away down a very steep, very pretty, narrow lane. If you are fit you'll have no trouble making the return journey! The visit can be shortened by following a footpath through steep fields almost always grazed by frisky heifers. A good dog walking area is provided on site.

We have visited this site for the last thirty years and can understand the ecstatic comments made by many visitors. But do be very careful. Much could depend on how lucky you are with the weather and how lucky you are with not meeting oncoming traffic on the narrow lanes! If you want to see more of Cornwall this may not be the site to chose; if you're happy to stay put you'll stand a great chance of having a good time.

We spent a fortnight at Seaview and the weather was nice. The site is accessed down a typical Cornish single road with pass byes that stretches for about a mile or so. We arrived during the specified arrival time. My advice to anyone towing a caravan is don't try to access the site when people are leaving or you could meet a caravan being towed along the narrow road. You have to be off the site for a certain time which then allows the road to hopefully clear for those arriving. Anyway we stayed on a fully serviced pitch and I must say it was plenty big enough for our 6 birth caravan and awning. There is a shop on site that sells basics with a small cafe attached can't really comment on the cafe as we didn't use it but it looked ok. There is a outdoor heated pool which was very nice. The showers and toilets always appeared clean and tidy. There was a large playing field for family's with outdoor barbecues and swings etc. The only problem we had was with the park wifi and the reception staff were not too helpful. The signal was lost to the whole park for a few days and they should have taken more responsibility for it. We did enjoy our stay at Seaview International and we would return.

Just returned from seaview international we spent 7 nights here and was delighted with the site I really can't find fault we had a bay view perimeter pitch which had plenty of room for our tent plus porch and room to sun bathe! My 2 kids made plenty of friends and really enjoyed the playground kids are 9 & 6 and we felt this sight was safe enough for them to go on scooters and venture by themselves to the park cars are to go in one direction around the park at 10mph.

Toilets and showers were in separate blocks and was kept very clean and tidy even on the day it rained they wasn't dirty. Washing up area was inside and was never queuing always clean I really cannot say a bad word about the facilities on this site. Swimming pool was great kids had plenty of fun in there. Shop was well stocked and all staff was helpful talkative and friendly we didn't use the cafe but there was always a board up with tte today's specials.

The road to seaview is narrow but there are plenty of passing places and if you don't speed it can b easily passable. The beach a good walk down if you are fit coming back was hard going we only went to see what it was like I'm glad we didn't drag a load of stuff down as there is a few steep climbs back and I definitely wouldn't attempt it in the car nice beach though. For sitting and body boarding we went to the other beach turning left out the composite a 2 mile drive down carpark there and plenty of room very nice beach.

All in all we all loved this site and would return.

We re visited Seaview on our way back along the south coast. We started coming here in 1982 and have never been disappointed. The owners have changed but the facilities are second to none. Spotless. We were shown to our pitch very quickly. No messing. They told us what there was locally and further afield.

There are now super pitches which look nice and peaceful and away from the main camping area which are separated by hedges. We will definitely try one of these pitches next time.

We are so glad that it has kept up the high standards even after 31 years!

This is an excellent campsite situated on the south coast about half way down so ideally situated for all areas of cornwall. It is a about 10 minutes from St Austell down some narrow lanes but this makes it a peacful site. All facilities on the site are kept up to an excellent standard clean and well maintained. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Pool was clean and warm. French bread and croissants baked on site and available all day through to shop closing about 8pm.

We travelled with our pet dog and he was made as welcome as us there was even a separate dog exercise area completely fenced around so we could let our dog off the lead to run around in this designated area. All in all an excellent site we would recommend to anyone looking for a family friendly site, not a lively site but excellent for children, with a play and sports areas, tennis football, badminton etc. It had a European campsite feel large pitches the large fully serviced pitches were fenced off with hedging like in France.

Only intended staying for 2 nights but the site was so good we stayed a week, it`s ideal for days out to all major attractions and Towns, only 5 mins to Mevagissey and the staff where great, especially the lovely owner, she couldn`t be more help or friendly, the site was exceptionally clean and quiet, toilets, showers and laundry facilities were first class, the cafe was good and also does take away meals, great in you didn`t feel like making something when you got in late, the heated outdoor pool was great and free to all. The site is very reasonably priced with no hidden extra`s. I would recommend the site very highly.

WOW what a fab site nice pitches and immaculate facilities. They do close the shower block for two hours which can catch you out!

Staff very helpful and the shop was great considering the size and even supplied me with fresh garlic! The girls loved going each day and the site felt safe enough to allow them to go alone.

The pool was great warm enough considering it was so cold outside, large area to site around which must be heaven on a warm day.

We thought the name a bit strange but the site does have an international feel and the owners have tried to recreate the abroad feel! well done

We were woken as usual by the inconsiderate camper that thinks we all want to listen to him playing with his twin children at 7. 30am ! but not the campsites fault.

The site had no dogs muck which was fab! and owners generally kept them on a lead which was nice, nothing worse than dogs coming up when trying to serve food.

Its a bit of a hike to beach and it is very steep road ok if fit or not with young children, the beach is lovely though.

We will most def be returning, hopefully next week!

We have just got back from our 4th stay at Seaview and we had a lovely week.

Having been in Cornwall in June and suffered howling gales and heavy rain most of the time we were given a treat this time and for September the weather was quite nice.

We love this site. If offers good size pitches and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The showers and toilets are immaculate.

It is very good value for money at this time of year for a full service pitch.

My only moan would be there were some people staying there with 2 very noisy dogs but that is not the sites fault, it's down to the inconsiderate owners.

We took our bikes this year and rode from the site to Caehays beach. It was a lovely ride, bit steep coming back but worth the effort.

My wife and I spent 2 nights here last weekend. Lovely campsite with spacious, level pitches, excellent facilities, one of the best sites I have been to. However, it is very popular with families, I wasn't expecting this to be a problem considering it was no longer the school holidays but there were dozens, we were woken at 7am every day by screaming children, lovely. We wont be going back, which is a real shame as its a great site.

Great for families, not so great for couples looking for peace and quiet.

A great campsite. We stayed for 7 days in the Family Pitches at the far end of the site. These were quite large pitches marked by hedges which gave a degree of privacy. The toilet / shower block in this area is extremely nice and kept very clean. Definitely the best toilets / showers we have come across. There are cooking facilities in the washing up room. Because there are not that many pitches in this area the toilets / showers never seemed to get too busy which is always nice.

The pool was lovely although it did get very busy in the afternoons.

The play area was very good with a climbing frame, tennis courts, volley ball court and football pitch providing something for all ages of children.

The reception staff were extremely helpful with all requests we made including trying to get my car windscreen fixed.

It is a little way from civilisation but there are Tesco and Asda superstores in St Austell which is 20 minutes drive and some nice places to eat in Mevagissy which is about 10 minutes drive.

One word of warning. Don't try driving down to the nearest beach as the road is very narrow and has few passing places. I had to reverse about 200m up the steep hill which my clutch did not like judging by the smell and smoke coming from it.

Overall, a great campsite. My children want to go back next year so it must be good.
