Wow, what more do you want. This place is so well kept and the views are outstanding. Its like being in an oil painting! We had a luxury serviced pitch and had a caravan, an awning, and a land rover and still had room for swingball! We were blessed with the weather admittedly! The toilet/shower block was very clean and we never queued even in half term week. The showers were a bit too warm for my 3 yr old but !lurrvely! for us! The pool was really warm which made swimming a joy and my son loved the scuba diving lesson at a very reasonable cost. We used the shop for essentials but being so close to Heligan famous farm shop about 2 mins drive we also enjoyed local sausages, burgers, apple juice etc. For stocking up there is a huge asda which is 15-20 mins away! The staff were smiling and friendly especially the site warden Ted who is an absolute gem! and his wife Sandy, lovely people. They loaned us a longer electric cable and windbreak! This was our 3rd and definitely not last visit If you want to lose the kids in a massive play area which also has a brand new play centre now then this is your place! we never saw our three all week! bliss! The dogs are spoilt with a huge, clean walking area with a view to die for. Oh and please visit the amazing rock pools and explore the caves at caerhays beach, it's just down the road, if you go later in the afternoon then the rock pools are abundant and parking on the beachfront is free from then too! Beware the walk to the nearer beach is on a very narrow and very steep road. You can't park your car down there and walking back up is definitely not for the faint hearted! A1***

Seaview was a bit tricky to find but well worth it.
Facilities included adequate but clean toilet/shower block especially in the one field, variety of stock in shop, big play field, swimming pool well used by our two kids (10 and 6), quirky but fun crazy golf, electric hook up(we borrowed a 4 plug adaptor from them as it was our 1st time with hook up).
You can walk to lovely quiet beach but remember that if you go down on the way there.
We walked to a couple of local pubs (1-2 miles) and ate reasonably well.
Good but hilly cycling, we hired some bikes including one with trailer for 6 yr old.
Fantastic views in both directions seaward and inland.
Lots of space esp. With our large family (6mx6m) dome tent, level pitch, tarmac roads around for access, some muddy bits.
Would definitely return.
Nice part of the country to visit if a bit far from midlands!

We stayed at the site for 6 nights following the Bank Holiday weekend and we thought the site was excellent. It had a really lovely feel to it and loads of space for the kids to run around. Our pitch was a really good size and there is lots of established planting.
The site encourages re-cycling (really nice to see because it's hard to change habits!)
The play area is really great for the kids, our 2 children absolutely loved it.
The dog run is a really good open space to let the dog off, clean too and plenty of bins.
We thought the shower facilities were absolutely fine (a little too hot for small children but only minor point). We never had to cue and they were regularly cleaned, even the radio played in the background.
There is a narrow lane to the beach and if you value your car, do not carry on further along the lane around the coast (ours got really scratched) once you have committed yourselves you just have to keep going!
We thought the campsite shop was poor and thought that the shelves were very bare! It is always nice to see local businesses supporting each other and it would have been nice to have seen some fresh local produce on the shelves and in the fridges (sausages, burgers etc.) if there was one thing to let the site down then we felt this was it.
The pool is great and the site is well positioned for quietness and good beaches. We had the best weather in the country whilst we were here (no rain) and the pitches were dry. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely return again!

We did not see how this site justified getting into the Best of British catalogue. Very disappointing. We found muddy pitches, dirty facilities and unless you wish to live on fry ups the shop offers very little considering the nearest supermarket is 9 miles away which around the Cornish lanes seems more like 45 miles.
The most annoying thing was the charge of £6 for each washing machine in their launderette, plus the hefty cost of the tumble drying. Some families using two washing machines were finding that each trip into that laundrette was costing them £20 a time, and the trips were frequent with all the mud about.
The pool was heated but our kids only used it once as the weather was too cold and windy.
The site claims to offer freezer space to campers, but when you arrive you see the notice warning you that ice packs only allowed. If you try to store food it will be destroyed. Another disappointment as the shop doesn't stock proper meat(apart from bacon sausage and a few chops etc for barbecues) and you have to constantly trek off to St Austell. Very poor value for our money at we paid £675.00 for 2 weeks.

Fantastic site, very level pitches, grounds were in fantastic condition, well looked after. Play area, tennis courts etc were all so spacious, a lovely area for kids to run free and be safe with their own independence. Great dog walking area, separate from the campsite so you not disturbing anybody, lovely to have a walk and let the dog run.
Toilets were clean and tidy, plenty of sinks, toilets and showers. Hairdryers and somewhere to plug you straightners, hooray!.
Pool was excellent, again very clean and warm, lovely area to sunbathe, you could have been in the Med, plenty of sunbeds. Good activities around the pool for the kids, chess, draughts and table tennis.
Take away was delicious, great curry sauce!
Good BBQ areas, one with a log fire, very cosy.
Shop is small, but stocks most things you need.
Crazy golf and Pitch and putt was all free, fab, especially with the kids always wanting to play.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
It was full when we went, but it didn't feel busy, just right.
Thanks Sea View will def. Visit again soon.

Have just returned from a very wet week in Cornwall and must say that we were a little disappointed with Seaview International, especially in view of the glowing reviews we had previously read on here.
We were pitched in the Bay View paddock and we were extremely crammed in. There was definitely no adherence to the 6m rule, we were virtually on top of our neighbours and could clearly make out conversations that they were having. Must say though this didn't seem to be the case in other areas of the site, so maybe we were just unlucky.
The shower and toilet blocks were dirty. I appreciate that as it was wet , keeping the floors mud free would be difficult but there was little excuse for toilet paper to be strewn across the floor and for the showers to be full of the previous occupants hair and other unmentionables!
Be warned there are no sinks in the shower room (other than in the disabled toilet), so if you wanted to brush your teeth, you had to traipse across to the toilet block either before of after your shower and brush them there.
This aside the staff were very friendly, the shop was reasonably priced and the children's play area was very good.
The site looked nice with all the fauna and flora. The pool was good and as it was heated, even though it was raining, we still managed to have a swim.
The site has no club. Which would have been nice given the weather, the nearest pub was about a 5 min drive away. However, the site was lovely and quiet a night, no noise at all !
The luxury pitches looked very nice and were very spacious.
All in all a nice site let down by the cleanliness of the toilets and shower blocks .

This site met all our expectations. The site staff appeared very friendly. Our pitch was level with plenty of room - the grass was kept in excellent condition, more like a well kept lawn than a field which you can encounter at some sites. The toilets/shower blocks were modern, bright and spotlessley clean - they had hanging flower baskets outside, which added a really nice touch. All of the leisure facilities on the site were kept in good condition - we weren't able to use these because we had our 9mth old puppy dog with us. We used the large dog walking area - this had lovely views of the coast in the distance. The site is ideally situated to visit all the quaint little fishing villages along the coast. There were quite a few dog friendly beaches around the area, including a beach which was a short walk from the site.
The only small thing you could fault was that the gents toilets were closed due to it being a quiet period at the beginning of July - the men had to use the womens toilets which had no shaver sockets.
We would definitely like to return to this site again.

Myself ,my wife and our two children stayed on this site for a week in July last year (2007).
The pitches are all on level ground. Ours had an electric hook up and was of a good size. There was a water point nearby.
The thing that really strikes you about this site is the fantastic landscaping and flora. It would do justice to a formal country house garden.
There are large play areas for the children and two grass tennis courts and a putting green. The equipment for these can be hired at the site office for payment of a refundable deposit.
The site boasts a large outdoor swimming pool with stepped sun terraces around it. There is a profusion of Hydranga plants along these terraces which make the whole area a treat for the eye. Near the entrance to the pool there are two toilet / changing cubicles. Near this is the smugglers rest which is a picnic / barbecue area with wooden bench type tables and seats.
Not far from the pool entrance there is crazy golf.
There is a shop onsite to cater for the day to day things.
There is no bar or similar on the site as it is very much geared to daytime activities. Possibly as a result of this it is peaceful and quiet at night.
Mevagissey and Gorran Haven are a relatively short distance away by car and the town of St. Austell is also within easy reach by car.
The toilet / shower block is fantastic. It would do justice to a quality hotel. These are also kept very clean. The laundry area is well equipped and the dish washing area is spacious and airy.
This is easily the best site we have been on and would not hesitate in recommending it to others.

My husband and I, together with our 3 year old son stayed at Seaview last July for 2 weeks in our tent and had a fantastic time. Loved it so much that I took my mum back there in September and stayed in one of the statics. Excellent too.
The site is immaculate, well kept and well run. The pitches are level and spacious. The views are to die for.
Toilet block was modern and clean. The shower block was fantastic with hot water all the time, there were 2 hairdryers you could use free of charge too. The campers kitchen was fab with microwave and oven. Childrens play area was great and kept my son entertained for ages. The pool and patio area were gorgeous, I felt like I was holidaying in the med (when it wasn't raining!) All the staff were lovely, always happy, polite and smiling particularly the couple who run the shop. If you needed anything when the shop was closed they didn't mind if you knocked on their door and asked, nothing was too much trouble. Another bonus for me was the ice machine in reception, nice touch.
The only downside for me was that it is a little isolated with a lack of things to do locally outside of your unit in the evening without having to drive. Having said that, it makes for a totally relaxing, peaceful holiday.

Absolutely lovely site! Peaceful and perfect!
Free heated outdoor pool, which we used continuously throughout our holiday, great play area for the children and clean facilities throughout.
Location a bit isolated, but is very peaceful due to this. Hard walk to the beach, but at least you can walk off some of the cream teas!
Booked for a static caravan holiday next year before we left, and will book again for 2009, but in a tent as the facilities we saw were brilliant.
Five star campsite, perfect for young families.
