Been to this site 5 times now and love the place. Excellent facilities and a beautiful area.
A couple of niggles that bother me are - The price is becoming too high. Soon they will be charging B&B prices. Also the chip shop is terrible. I paid £4 for fish and chips, the fish was off and smelt of ammonia.

The site is located in an interesting part of Cornwall and generally has a good standard of facilities ...but: 1. Some pitches are cramped - we struggled to fit a large dome tent, pup tent and mondeo estate car on our pitch; 2. A small number of pitches have significantly less amenity than most - unfortunately our 'sea view' was spoilt by the Chemical Disposal Point (with its associated noises) directly opposite the pitch 3. The camp site shop has a limited range of goods and is expensive; 4. Our fee was £37 per night - at least £7 too expensive in comparison with similar sites in France, Belgium, Holland and the UK.
Tips - avoid the CDP and check the pitch size on booking

Spent two weeks with perfect weather here in August. Have booked to come back next year. Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and the best playing fields we have come across. Kept our three boys busy for hours. Overall nice friendly atmosphere. Scariest bit is coming off the main road with the caravan down the narrow lane towards the campsite, had to reverse with the van down the hill let oncoming milktruck pass! Lots of things to do close by and farmshop at Heligan is well worth a visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seaview. The staff were helpful and friendly, the amenities were very good and the toilets / showers / kitchen areas etc were always clean. A special mention should be made of the playing field which is the best we have seen on any campsite in this country and in France.
I can only think of 2 negative comments; firstly the pitches are quite small unless you pay the higher prices for the "luxury" field. Secondly, you leave freezer packs in the freezer at your own risk, ours and many other campers blocks were taken, which was disappointing, but as the freezer is in a public area the camp site staff cannot really do anything about the selfish actions of a minority.
One of the key attractions of the surrounding area is Mevagissey in the evenings (it was very busy during the day). There are lots of very good eating places, especially if you go beyond the obvious fish & chip take- aways. There are also several good beaches in the area which are ideal for children as they tend to be shallow with fairly small waves. There is an excellent farm shop at Heligan which is well worth a visit (or two!). I can definitely recommend Seaview and have already booked for next year.

May 2005 Just a fab site friendly always helpful. On site shop is improving, chip shop room for improvement. Swimming pool, grazy golf, tennis. play park, dog walk and mini golf. Luxury pitches and other pitches have loads of space. There are loads of beaches 10 mins away. I have stayed here loads of times, usually twice yearly and dog friendly. Just an excellent site.

August 2005 I have just come back from a week at this site which was very enjoyable. The site has excellant facilities for children with a large play area including tennis, badminton, swings etc. which is all free of charge. We had a good sized pitch for our Diablo 900 and car but some pitches were a bit on the small size especially if the one next to you has a large tent. We liked the site and location so much we booked a week for next year whilst we were there.

August 2004 We had a fantastic 2 week stay at this site. We were able to pitch our Khyam Ridgi-pod with 2 bedroom pods and park our car on our pitch (only just admitedly - but it's a very large tent). The site was immaculate, beautifully kept, facilities were great and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. Despite the site being full it was very quiet and there was no rowdy clubhouse. There is a huge play area for children of all ages, a terraced pool, crazy golf, bbq areas and lots more. If you don't fancy the steep hill leading down to the beach there is a nice sandy cove within a very short drive. The new deluxe pitches really are huge. Prices in peak season are high (especially the deluxe pitches) but the standard pitch prices seemed to be in line with other sites in the area. We are looking forward to returning for another fortnight in 2005.

June 2004 New owner seems to be a little arrogant. Been going to Seaview for 14 years this year not quite the same. Noisy people on site NO WARDEN and little interest from the staff. I do hope that this park does not go down the pan it was superb but stand off management and high prices will drive people away. You have been warned.

August 2004 We have just returned from a 2 week break at this site. The facilities were excellent-considering it was the main season there was never a queue for the shower. The site was immaculate throughout, the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The pool area was beautiful surrounded by plenty of sun loungers. Children were well catered for: a huge adventure park, free crazy golf, tennis etc. The only criticism that I have is that the pitches were small, literally just enough space for our medium sized trailer tent and car. Some bigger units (caravans and tents) struggled to get on the mid field pitches and had to pitch any way they could-If the outer edges of pitches were marked people would be more aware of their boundaries. This is a beautifully maiantained, friendly and quiet site which I would recommend to anyone. We are now really spoilt.

July 2003 This has been our 3rd visit to the site and again we were not dissapointed (apart from the weather). The facilites were still to an exceptional standard but I found the toilet block wasn't cleaned continuously as had been the case on both previous stays. The dog exercise area is fantastic - the largest I have found on any site, (complimentary clean up bags provided). They were also running a recycling scheme this year for plastic, tin and glass - a great idea! The food at the local pub is also excellent but make sure you are there at 6.30pm in high season if you want a table! (alternatively you could book a table. I would certainly recommend this site.
