Hi I love this site I have visited it many time's over the years and had always found it in a very good condition with good clean facilities and nice pitches, however it felt a wee bit drab this time, the best thing is I have made friends with some of the people who are on seasonal pitches and find them to be a very happy helpful bunch of people who have made their caravan pitches into there own wee bit of eden they look great with some excellent craft work and homely touches, I like things to have a personal touch I hate caravans lined up like little white boxes or snooty folk who look down their nose at other's, thankfully this site has very few like that and none of them are on seasonal pitches. There is a nice typical scottish burn running near the site and many nearby lochs to fish, if walking in beautiful Scotland or even cycling is your thing this is a fantastic place to do it, the safari park and go ape is only 20 min away, all in all a wee gem of a place in a great location, with some real caravaners who make it their relaxed home from home and will make you very welcome

I don't usually comment on campsites I visit as if I don't like it I just don't bother going back. However I felt the need to comment on Immervoulin as it really irked me.
Firstly the good points.
Location is excellent, close to Callander and all the Trossachs has to offer. The walk from the south end of the park along the river to Loch Lubnaig is fantastic, I saw Herons, Dippers and a Kingfisher.
My main gripe with Caravan Parks are toilets. The Toilet and Shower facilities were impeccable. They were how I would wish all my toilets/showers to be. However. In this day and age to charge 20p for 2 minutes of showering is nothing short of disgraceful. I would rather spend an extra £5 than have to make sure I had change to have a shower. Also mid showering when you are covered in lather you have to then find another coin is draconian.
The site itself could be so picturesque if it wasn't for the Trailer Park theme it portrayed with half the site given over to permanent sites where the owners had made they're only little piece of tackynes, wicker fences, gnomes and even an imitation pond. , these I might add were all in need of repair. The caravans also were all 10 year old plus. It just gave the air of a travellers park, no disrespect to travellers.
I am a pet lover owning a dog, parrots and fish, however on walking to my camper van with my small dog I was accosted by a couple with no less than seven yes seven Springer Spaniels. Granted only 4 of them went for my dog so it could have been worse.
Overall it is a site a would love to have went back to for the river walk alone but for the draconian 20p shower levy and the feeling you would be accosted by someone wanting to sharpen your knives or do some mono blocking for you I won't be back.

My daughter and partner arrived with there tourer and grandkids they loved it. Swimming in river and good cycle routes/ only fault I had to leave at end of hols but be back next year defo.

We paid a two night visit to this site last week.
On checking in we found everything to be in order, I was a little surprised at the showers charge as the nightly charge was the average of all other sites.
The toilet block was secure with a passcode which meant they were clean and well serviced.
The pitches were of a good size for tents in the park and the hook worked fine.
The shop on site had a good selection of all you would need.
One thing with being so close to the river was the amount of midges at that time of year, they were terrible.
The park looked very busy to begin with but after while realised several of the caravans are kept there all season by the owners.
On a night the park was nice and quite and with the gates locked at 10. 00 very secure as well.
Around the area there is lots to do also as well so a good Central location for the area.

This is our first review after converting from tenting to caravaning
We thought this would a nice site on our first outing with our caravan.
When we arrived at the site it seemed strangely full for the time of year but however what we discovered was that there is large proportion of residential pitches which is a bit of a shame as seemed to limit the touring pitches.
Toilet block was immaculate but 20p for 2 minutes of shower time seems quite a lot considering the pitch fees.
There a few walks near the site we took a walk along the cycle track which was perfect for an afternoon stroll.
Will we be back? probably.

Spent 4 Days here, Fantastic campsite, everything that you need, Yeah a few potholes but living in Glasgow I have seen worse, toilet, laundry and dishwash rooms were very clean and always maintained, very tidy site, john and heather made us feel very welcome and would defo go back. The shop is ideal and has everything you need and not to expensive either, great water for the kids to play in and beautiful sights to see. Brilliant. :)

Just back from this site and and found it to be well run and very quiet some road noise but it was expected as the site is on edge of a road but it didn't take away from the surroundings. Toilets and showers were clean and tidy. Dogs were welcome our Old English Sheepdogs enjoyed being exercised along the river towards Loch. Shop had everything you need. Owners were both friendly and helpful. Will go back again. Thanks for a great break. Weather was fantastic just what you need for caravan holidays

We recently stayed at Immervoulin for one night to break up a long drive back from Skye. As other reviewers have mentioned the sites roads really are in a bad state of disrepair, covered in large potholes. When we arrived it was raining heavily and this added to the slightly depressing atmosphere of the place. The man in the shop was friendly and the shop seemed to offer everything you could need. He also didn’t charge us for our two Jack Russells which was nice. We pitched up next to the river which was very picturesque, though the wet ground was quite waterlogged in places. The toilet/shower/washing up facilities were excellent, clean and well lit (but quite a few bugs/midges). The 20p showers provided lovely hot water, although we both used 40p per shower and I used 40p drying my hair. A family could spend a lot, which leads me to wonder what we are paying for on this site exactly as it isn’t cheap. The bad points of the site are the roads which could do with immediate repair work. General tidying of certain parts of the site, as other people have mentioned there are old rusty boats and some small plant machinery that looks abandoned, as well as many empty caravans. Our biggest issue were the midges which were the worst we’d seen on our entire tour of Scotland. They carpeted us and meant we didn’t want to open the tent. They really ruined the evening. Finally, during our stay there were two suspicious looking people (man and woman) loitering at the toilet/shower block drinking. Whist this didn’t bother us particularly, I could imagine that it might have bothered others. I don’t know if the people were even residents or just using the laundry facilities, but they looked a little out of place. We were very reluctant to leave our tent unmanned with these people around. This is not a site we could recommend or which we would visit again. The one plus point is the proximity to Callander which is lovely and worth a visit.

Just back from a long weekend and pretty impressed with this site. Yes there is some road noise but never bothered any of the 4 of us. Couple who run the site very helpful and the 20p for the showers helped guarantee never having to queue.
Wish we'd taken our inflatable kayak as I t would have been ideal - around a mile of easy river before expanding out into the loch.
Worth noting that 2 of the 3 pubs/restaurants/hotels have now closed down, with only the Inn at Strathyre remaining open. We had an excellent meal here, and at 4 main meals for £35 and £10 for 4 drinks ( a large wine, a pint and 2 soft)for £10 - excellent value.
Would definitely have no hesitation in returning to this site

First impressions of this site were not good as we turned off the main road and made our way to reception. The road around the site is in a poor condition with many large pot holes, the grass area towards the pitches is, in places, very uneven and care should be taken. We had booked a hard standing pitch plus awning. The hard standing area is only large enough for a caravan to be placed on and the awning has to go on the grass, as the grass was very wet and was raised up from our van we declined to erect the awning. Many of the pitches on the site are taken with seasonal hirers and the touring vans can pitch near these or alongside the river, we found the people very friendly that we met on this site. During our 2 night stay we found the site to be peaceful, apart from some road noise from the busy A84. The toilets, showers and other facilities on site are clean, although some of the shower rails and fittings are showing signs of rust. The site is ideally placed to explore the Trossachs, go cycling or walking in the forests close by.
