Nice little site with the friendliest staff I have ever met!
Some hardstanding pitches and some grassy, the ones by the river (grassy) looked good, we were on a hard pitch in the centre of the site which was fine.
Unfortunately the weather was very wet so the ground between pitches was very soft and muddy, so sitting out was a no no!
The toilet block was good, its got big showers but unfortunately they charge 20p for a couple of mins imho for £20 a night maybe showers should be free!
The on site shop is excellent and there is also a good wee tea and coffee machine.
The one down side of the site for me was the roads, very pot holey all but that aside I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this site and would definitely return.

A quick mini-break before everyone returns to school, we chose Immervoulin for its location and that it is only less than a hour's drive from home.
What a stunning campsite! The weather could have been kinder yet the site itself offered so much. We pitched by the river where my daughter spent most of her time playing with neighbour's children and swimming in the river.
The toilet blocks were immaculate and the new block was only a short walk away from the tent and also offered a laundry and washing-up room with food prep' area. Always clean and very well maintained.
The shop was an eye-opener! We invested in anti-midge cream and coils in nearby Callander and the shop offered the all that we needed but at a more reasonable cost. Be aware, Callander is an expensive town to visit where most shops offer over-priced goods and they complain that it could be busier!
For a quiet, well managed site offering excellent facilities at a reasonable price then I cannot recommend Immervoulin and the owners high enough. We will definitely be back!

Stayed here for 3 nights in July. We had a tent with electric hookup which cost £20 per night which is around average price.
Really enjoyed our stay apart from the torrential rain. Best part about the site was the friendly staff, clean amenities, and the location. Showers lovely and warm.
Did have a problem with someone with a radio blasting out but the owners sorted that quickly.
Only 8 miles from Callander and lots to do in the area.
Road noise can get on your nerves but otherwise a great stay. Thank you

We visited this site as our second choice after being turned away from the site just outside of Callander. Every cloud has a silver lining so they say as this turned out to be a lovely site.
The site is in a great location and the views are stunning. The facilities on site are very good with two toilet/shower blocks which were spotless. The showers/hairdryer etc cost 20pence for a couple of minutes. The shop on site is also very good and stocks almost every thing that you might need and the prices are quite reasonable. There are some lovely walks along the river to the loch and you can also fish here by getting a permit from the site shop.It is only a short walk into the village and all three pubs do good quality food and are all dog friendly.
On the down side we found that it was a little bit difficult to put the tent pegs in at our pitch and the ground was boggy in places, but to be fair there had been a lot of rain. The road around the site could do with a bit of attention as there are quite a few potholes.
The midges can be a pain but that's Scotland, take some 100% spray or a face net.
All in all a very good site and we will use it again in the future.

The road on the site is full of deep potholes. After heavy rain it's difficult to see them and could cause serious suspension damage. I'm sure it would not cost much to repair the deepest holes with some type one.
The pitch was also very wet. Once the water table is high, it only takes a small amount of rain fall to flood.
You pay for size of tent. One person in a one man tent, pays less than one person in a 4 man tent.
The fast flowing river is a serious danger for children. I'm shocked to find children are encouraged to play at it, by the selling of fishing nets. It would be wise to keep children in sight at all times.
The toilets and showers are the best I have seen. Loads of room to move about and are kept spotless. If this is your concern when camping, you would not be disappointed. Even the dish washing area is fantastic with it's purpose built area. It has a good selection of sinks at different heights.
The site is set in a beautiful spot. The scenery is stunning. Strathyre is just next door with a selection of hotels/pubs. There is also a good general store, although I found the shop on site to be ample.
When I was there the site was very busy, noisy and wet! I'm sure if I had been any other time, I would have enjoyed my stay more.

This site is fantastic. The scenery stunning, the staff friendly and helpful and the toilet/shower blocks the cleanest I have encountered. The wee shop is well stocked and has tablet to die for. Sadly though the site is let down by the residents. I went on a Bank Holiday weekend and would only return off season. We had rude comments passed as we were wearing head torches around the site in the dark and were woken up by people returning from the pub. Such as shame for the site owners but they obviously do well enough. Road around site has some pot holes too would be my only other negative. I go camping to escape from it all. Site was too busy and noisy for this although there were a few like minded campers around. May return but not in the 'holiday' period.

We visited this site the weekend of the Highland Games in Callander. The site was booked out full but the owner managed to squeeze us in. They were helpful and friendly. The ground was quite soft so good for tent pitching and its in a beautiful location. One of us even took a dip in the river in the morning!
The toilets and showers are great condition. The shower takes 20p but you can put 2 or 3 in at once. There is also an onsite shop.
The only complaint would be that it is about 8 miles outside Callander and costs around £15 in a taxi.

I am writing this on behalf of Cuminestown Motorcycle Club. We had pre-booked the site and when we arrived (14 bikes, a quad, a car, 14 tents and 24 people)we were treated like royalty. The site is immaculate, as is the toilet block. A short walk into Strathyre in the evening for a meal and a fantastic night out in the Munro Inn. A great weekend had by all. A gem of a camp site and we will be back.

Stayed for 2 nights.
Plus points - shop well stocked and open good hours. Toilets were clean although didn't like the permanent mop bucket filled with cleaning solution which greeted you as you entered.
Negatives - site was a bit shabby especially around the permanent caravans. Seems there are no restrictions on how they can modify their pitches and this has resulted in a few dodgy looking 'improvements' around the pitches!.
Also road was quite noisy during the night.

What a great campsite, the owners are lovely. The toilet/shower blocks are spotless. The shop is reasonably priced. There is a river that me and my sons did some fishing on which you need a permit from the shop. The only bad thing is there seemed to be a lot of midges but that's camping. Strathyre is a short walk away which is a lovely village
