Just back from a 2 night stay @ Immervoulin camp site,
Had a relaxing time here.
Shower blocks are great well looked after
Staff all friendly and helpful.
The Camping area is great really flat surface for your tent and we managed to get a good spot.
Will be back to camp here again I recommend this camp site to anyone.

Been to this site on a number of occasions and it never disappoints. The site now benefits from a fabulous brand new shower block with veg prep, disabled access toilet / shower, family room. And soon to be laundry.
The existing shower block has been revamped and as always is spotless.
The owners are extremely helpful and very friendly. All members of the family are very approachable.
The site shop is open as previously mentioned from 8am til 10pm and sells pretty much everything you could need. Cycle hire is available, which is handy if you fancy exploring along the nearby cycle path running from callander through Strathyre. As you would expect the scenery is breathtaking.
When we have stayed we haven't found it particularly noisy from the nearby road, I hear also that there are moves afoot to reduce the speed limit along this stretch of road which would also make it safer staggering back from the Inn in the dark!
Of the pubs available I would say the inn is the best with reasonable prices, food and an excellent range of guest ales (always welcome post walk!)
We would definitely go back.

I visited this reasonably priced site over the bank holiday weekend with another two families all with children and I have to say I am struggling to criticise it as I found it first class. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the toilet block was spotless and cleaned regularly. The on site shop was very reasonable, no play area for kids but there is some ongoing work at the moment, so maybe it's on the way, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Srathyre was 10 minute walk, we found everything handy and accessable. Plenty of electric hook ups and another obvious benefit which we haven't come across before. There is now an on site chip / burger van which was very reasonably priced and of excellent quality, so if you feel a lazy day coming on and can't be bothered to cook this is the place. As well as the above the scenery was the usual for this area breathtaking.

This was our first time camping and we all had a great time. The site has great views but is close to the busy main road so a bit noisy. The shop on site was very good had everything you needed. There were two toilet and shower blocks one of them was brand new and very good with a dish washing area and dry room and the old block was spotless as well. The children loved the tyre swing over the river they spent hours on it. The road around the site needs a bit of work, it was full off bad pot holes not good for cars or caravans. The staff were very helpful and we will definately go back.

Stayed for 1 night. Toilets were clean plenty hot water, good shop and nice staff. 3local pubs / hotels within walking distance but be careful when walking back after a few as the road is dark and there is no pavement. Good basic site ideal for an overnight stop. Will use again at least another twice this year.

Visited Immervoulin the first week in June 2007, as I had passed this site on many occasions and always wanted to try it out. Well I should have stuck to passing by, dont get me wrong the scenery is to die for and the staff could not be more helpful, the shop is open till 10pm every night and you can buy fresh milk and rolls 7 days a week, which is great. The down side, the site only has 2 showers and toilets for the ladies, not enough for this site, but the worst thing is there is far to many seasonal pitches with people driving up and down in work vans, therefore made me feel like we were on a work site. The hotel along the road which you can walk to and have a meal and a few drinks called The Ben Shean I read this was supposed to serve up great food, well I took my family there on the saturday night and was very disappointed with the food, the main courses were served as child portions without any salad or vegetables a big rip off, I would not recommend it. There is another big hotel just along the road which does look nice, possibly serving adult portions to adults with side salad and veg. Good luck if you go.

Hosted a UKCS meet here and although the weather totally ruined it I will try and be as fair as I can regarding the site. The site has to be in some of the most beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer, in a valley with the river running alongside, the park is pretty flat and the ground conditions seemed to be relatively free draining (we did have terrible rain), plenty of EHU for the tenters as well. The toilets were clean enough but only 1 shower in the gents and as already posted they are a long walk, however the park owners are addressing this with a new block almost finished at time of writing. The shop is good and sells all the essentials, there is also free freezers and microwave ovens, staff could not be more pleasant and accommodating, Emma and her family are most approachable. Bad point, if high winds are forecast or there is a chance of them don't go in a tent, the wind comes right up the glen and the hills on either side funnel it. I spent a night in the car as I was scared my tent was going to take off with me in it Would I go back??? without a doubt yes

My fiance and I visit this campsite often. It is great for all of the things we enjoy doing. The boys go fishing and I enjoy the tranquillity and spectacular views to paint. Its also great for adventures as the water is right on the site. In the summer the water is good for children to do some fishing and splashing around. Its also great for small boats and canoes. We come with friends too as the pubs are welcoming and friendly especially the Ben She an. The staff on the site are helpful and we often get the same pitch when we call up to book. I would recommend this site to anyone. There are some people who come to the site every weekend as their caravans are there all year. There are always friendly faces and helping hands if needed.

I was not at all impressed with this site and fail to see how it has had such good reviews before Firstly its toilets had no toilet paper, no soap in their dispensers and no hand driers. They have a new toilet block under construction, on our site leaflet it said opening easter, it has only just got a concrete base and apparently has been like that since last season.
The chemical waste point was disgusting, there was only a 4 inch deep opening for your disposal. I watched as my dad emptied his waste and it was splashing it back all over the place. There was loads of waste lying round the edges of the waste point too. The site seemed to be over run with underage drinkers wandering around with their cans of beer in their hands, there was music to be heard all night from these vans too. This was not helped by the fact the site shop was an off license too. Most of the caravans that are sited there were full of drunken rabble. The site was a muddy mass with dreadful drainage and even the grass verge was a muddy mass too. Had I of seen this before I arrived I would have turned round and drove straight back out again. However it was bank holiday weekend and the chances of getting a pitch at any other site was non existent so we had to make the best of it. On the bottom end of the field you will find the caravans that are sited there, one even had the electric hook-up crossing the road which we had to drive over, not ideal at all. There was very little for the kids to do on this site and they were bored out of their minds(the play area is in the village nearby which is only accessible via the main road which is horrendously busy), they couldn't play on their bikes either as the mud had all their clothes minging within the first half hour. Our kids pleaded that we never take them back there again, this decision had been made the night we arrived sadly I will say if you are planning on having a nice holiday in central Scotland there are plenty of child friendly sites within 10-20 miles from here which are much better than this. If you are a lager lout and don't need that much sleep then this is ideal for you

Not a bad site, ground a little uneven, great shop that sells everything you need, some of the caravans sighted seasonal noisey at night. It rained through night and site turned into a bog. The toilets are a long walk from far end. There is no play park! And the midges do bite, remember to bring your avon skin so soft.
