Grand caravan site. The owners are both very helpful.
Very good rates will def return. We had a problem getting a reception with the TV but they came to the rescue thank you very much.
If you enjoy fishing you'll love this site. Callendar very close by. Also if you have a dog they are made very welcome

Arrived on site which we had booked in and was asked to go and set up our caravan and then come back and square up site fees. And we must thank the owners for their help with the awning as they seen I was struggling and helped me. Also again thank you for setting up the tv ariel as my wife Margaret was happy she was able to watch her tv programs. The toilets were spotless and so was the disable one my wife used. Thanks again for your kindness

Smallish site in beautiful location. Good access from busy road with clear campsite signs although road within campsite could do with some repairs to pot holes!
Received friendly welcome from owner and we were allowed to chose from a selection of touring pitches. Yes it was a bit of a walk to the toilets and showers from where we were pitched but would be ideal if you were in a tent.
Toilets and showers both very clean and spacious. 20p for 2 minute shower but then again pitch was only £18 per night including electric. Hairdryer in ladies always a bonus in Scotland!
Shop on site open all day and lots of space for children to play. Site was however still quiet in evenings. Excellent recycling facilities.
Walking distance to pub and shop in Strathyre and about 10 minute drive to Callander which has Co-op & Tesco as well as some lovely little craft shops. Afternoon tea at The Atrium a delicious bargain at £13. 99 for two.
Lots of seasonal pitches on this site but everyone was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

I stopped here for one night as I was attracted by its being surrounded by mountains and with a river running alongside.
There are walks from the site and I believe it's possible to kayak or canoe on the river.
The toilet block I used was clean and well-maintained and the shop tried to cater for every need.
Not only was it a delightful place to stay but I found the chap who runs Immervoulin with his partner an exceptionally helpful and obliging man.
He said he 'likes fixing things' and not only did a temporary repair on my campervan cupboard door but seemed to spend much of his time fetching, carrying and fixing for others on the site.
So I left cheered not only by a night among beautiful scenery but by a renewed faith in human nature.
I didn't have time to explore the local village.

Very friendly family run site.
Stayed for a long weekend with my son and dog and had a great time.
Shop on site had everything you needed from tent pegs to wine(thought of everything)
Staff were helpful, I also noticed them helping caravan owners who had a few problems.
We were right next to the river which was great as it had a Tarzan swing for the kids.
Facilities are clean with a great HOT shower.
Recycle areas for rubbish.
Nice quiet site after 11pm.
Short walk to pub and a short drive to Lochearn.
Will def be back

Just returned home from a 11 night stay here. On arrival at the site we received a warm and informative greeting from owner. We were allocated an excellent pitch that backed onto the stream. The site was well maintained and this is a credit to owners for the time and effort they put in. The toilet blocks are well maintained and cleaned on a regular basis. At the bottom end of the site there is a gate that leads to a footpath that runs adjacent to the stream (great for walking the dogs)Will definitely use this site again. Thanks to owners for making this a great holiday.

This was the first stop on our tour of West Scotland [4 nights], we booked by phone and and experienced no problems. The site was well signed and access was good. The owner had reserved a very good, level pitch, close to the river and the water supply.
The 2 shower/toilet blocks were spotless and had all the facilities. Make sure you have 2 x 20 pence coins if you are washing your hair in the shower. The shop was very well stocked and will order a newspaper for you if you wish.
This is a family site and therefore expect some noise from children.
The views were superb and whilst the site is adjacent to the road, the traffic is not heavy so there was only minimal noise. The river is lovely and was proving to be a fascinating playground for the children. The weather was hot and sunny whilst we were there and, as with all of Scotland, there were a lot of midges and horse flies, come prepared.
The owner/manager was extremely helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble.
All in all we had a very happy stay.

We booked for 2 nights, however were so over run by the dreaded midge left after 1 - no fault of the campsite.
First impressions were its rather untidy - an old digger sitting abandoned, a roller going rusty in the gravel & a number of vehicles (vans & boats) rusting away in the background. The driveway could benefit from some repairs - lots of potholes!
Shower blocks were for the most part spotless, the exception to this was the disabled toilet which we used as there is no family shower/bathroom. 20p for a 2 minute shower is a little steep, as is 20p for 2 minute hairdryer.
Found the staff a little slow to help - 'oh come back xxx might give you the key for the disabled toilet' when we enquired about family washing facilities.
Got into trouble for filling our kettle to (legitimately) make a cup of tea & quickly rinsing out the cups (2) at the same time - rather petty in our opinion.
Found the noise from the road bad during the night - sounded like racing cars.
Overall ok but won't rush back much better out there.

Been going to this site for years and still love it. Thought I'd give an up to date review, although it is very much like my other one.
Friendly owners, great views, clean toilet facilities, brilliant walks direct from site (dog friendly - no sheep or cattle), dog friendly pub in the village. Stunning location. A bit of road noise but not so much it bothered me and quiet during the night.
To comment on earlier review. I have never, in all the years of visiting this site found groups of young people to hang around the shop (or anywhere else on site for that matter), and if there were they obviously weren't causing a disturbance. Like any site there may be the odd rowdy group, perhaps previous reviewer was unlucky that this happened when they were there. It is not the norm here.
Toilet facilities too far from tents? - there are two toilet blocks. An old one and a new block, both kept clean. The new block is in the middle of site.
Potholes? Yes, there are, unfortunately. The site owners have been battling these for years. The site has a tendency to flood in winter causing the road damage. I suppose we are used to it, but driving slowly makes them negotiable.
Untidy? There is no litter or rubbish. Bins are emptied every day. This is not a regimented site however so pitches are not in straight rows. Maybe driving towards the entrance it could be prettier but any old vehicles are actually behind the site but visible upon approach.
To summarise, this site is in a marvellous location for walking, views and sightseeing. One of our favourites.

Has the potential to be a lovely site. First impressions are not good. The first sight is of cars being dismantled and 'mechanics' in oily overalls. Thought we'd entered a garage forecourt.
The 'welcome' at the reception/shop was somewhat sharp. Although I know that the owners cannot control the weather, they could maintain the site road to make it easier to negotiate in really wet weather. The potholes are deep and wide - not nice when it is very wet and very dark (little or no lighting on site).
The facilities are a long walk from the touring pitches by the river. There are lights on the site but they are not switched on making it a treacherous walk to the toilet block after dark. You will need a good torch and wellies.
It was noisy at night with crowds of youngsters hanging around the front of the shop shouting and being a general nuisance.
The toilets/shower block is untidy but reasonably clean. Showers cost 20p for two minutes, inadequate. The lights dim down before the first two minutes are done, unacceptable.
The small village is a short walk away. The Bistro and Inn is an excellent pub. It is dog-friendly and the food looks very good. The locals are very friendly.
The overall appearance of this site really lets it down. It is very scruffy and not inviting. Shame really because it is in a good location, by the river and has stunning views.
