Stayed here for 3 nights starting Saturday May 23rd we had such a great time in the park only not the campsite
We thought we had got a great deal £216 for 2 nights 3 days with awning on the caravan van electric and access to the theme park for 3 days. However the reception then charged me extra for a serviced pitch with no explanation
Showers and toilets clean and modern,
All pitches where basic and a little overgrown with weed and grass in places and could do with tidying up, you would think with the amount charged they could manage this.
The site was quite noisy on an evening up to half ten, and then later in the evening noise was worse with with people singing and making general noise
One thing that made us very uneasy was the constant presence of security officers along with Police and Tow trucks towing 4x4 and caravans away and other people moving from pitch to pitch. I won't be in a rush to revisit

This is a busy family site with a club and regular activities/shows. You can wander round the theme park during the night whilst it is closed, my daughter loved that more than the club lol.
The facilities are fine, I've seen better and worse, and there are three or four blocks to go to.
Dogs are welcome on the site and you can take them in to the theme park during the day (not the zoo though).
The main problem with this site, for me, is that there's no designated place for the dogs to be let off the lead to run. My dog (off his lead) was attacked by a Labrador who was off it's lead playing with another dog, the owner did not apologise and his dog was off it's lead the every day following it.
My dog was very young at the time, his first time camping, and full of energy. There really needs to be somewhere for the dogs to run off some steam

Stayed for easter bank holiday
Easy check in, drive to the camping field and chose a pitch.
NOW THE BAD BITS.
Very limited mobile signal and no 3g but there is free wifi in flamingo land.
The pitches are a very basic hardcore patch just enough for a caravan and grass where you put your awning.
It had been raining most or the day we arrived and the majority of the pitches were waterlogged and muddy, we managed to find the best of a bad bunch but ours had water soaking up into the awning for the rest of our stay. Some campers who were staying longer resited to other pitches.
There was not enough electric hookups for the pitches so you need to make sure you have electric before setting up your caravan.
The noise from people returning from the venue late in the evening was extremely loud and there was a lot of screaming from another caravan after midnight which went on for over 30mins.
Considering that there is a lot of security on site the noise levels wasn't policed including the playing of loud music.
This is the worst camping trip we've had in 10 years and very doubtfull if we'd return.
GOOD BITS
Toilets and showers very clean
Value for money(ish)
Clean site
Flamingo land itself is very enjoyable with lots to do
The 2 previous reviews have covered most of it and I can't add much more but my only advice would be is to pitch as far away from the main drag as possible to get a more relaxed stay!

We normally like quiet sites with plenty of room for our three children to play, so was a little apprehensive going to Flamingo land for a week.
We shouldn't have been.
On arrival there is plenty of space to stop with a car and caravan to book in. The booking in process was quick and easy.
we were advised to go and find a pitch and just set up. Driving around the touring park, it is big and although it is big the pitches aren't too close to each other. The pitches are hardstanding for the caravan and grass for the awning. There are posts near each pitch for the electric and also have a tap on, so easy to fill the Aquaroll. There was two toilet blocks which were not far from any pitch on the touring park. These blocks had a elsan outside and the toilets themselves were very nice and clean, with a row of shower rooms opposite. The shower rooms are the best I have seen and are great if you have children as they are big and all can fit in the room while all have a shower, the water was always hot maybe a little too hot but that was fine by me.
The only downside to the touring park was no drainage. Most pitches had a pool of water near the caravan. We had mud coming through our awning mats although the family opposite to us had a swimming pool under their awning and had to move pitches half way through their holiday.
The actual theme park was excellent, not far from the touring park but they offered a regular golf buggie bus to and from theme park to the touring pitches. All the employees were dressed up for Halloween and they were all polite and interactive with the children and family.
To finish off I would say it is an excellent place to go, very clean and tidy and well mannered staff. Lots for the children to see and do from rides, amusements, play areas, zoo, restaurants etc.
We would go back to this site but again October time as it was nice and not many people, I would think it would be very busy and maybe a different story in summer time.

Myself, my daughter and 2 year old grandson took a 3 night break from the offer out of the news paper to stay at Flamingo Land Resort.
We arrived on the Sunday 31st August, and upon arrival all seemed well. We were advised where the tents with the serviced pitches were allocated and was told we could choose our own pitch. The site at this time was very busy as it was the last weekend prior to schools returning from summer holidays.
Many of the vacant tent pitches had massive dips right where you would put up the tent, but we managed find a pitch which wasn't too bad and set up camp.
The toilet and shower facilities were well maintained and clean. Pot wash up area also very good.
Entrance to and from the park was an easy off road walk and there is a cost cutter store on site, which was very well stocked although like most site stores items a little over priced.
The only down side to the site we found was every night we stayed there there was some kind of commotion.
Night one we had rave music playing non stop from a neighbouring tent, this started at around 7. 30pm and continued well into the night, night two the same group of people arrived back from the club at around 11. 30pm and were shouting, swearing (kids included in this) and lighting bonfires, we also had to ask the kids earlier that evening not to play with a frizby type toy next to the car, it had hit it twice, and even though the request was asked nicely, we got quite a lot of abuse from the kids for asking them to move to where their own tents were pitched! Night three we had another couple shouting and swearing and arguing with one another at the top of their voices, this started after midnight and lasted about 45 minutes until one of the party got into their car and drove off (both had been drinking by the sound of it). Their kids were crying and screaming obviously terrifed as the woman of the couple had apparently thrown a boiling pan at her partner, and to be fair it was even scary for us.
I asked at site reception about security on the site at night and was advised that although there is security, it is external and will only come out at that time of night if requested. She did however make a note of the problems of noise etc.
Unfortunately, due to the night time issues I would not want to stay on the resort in a tent again, but the theme park and zoo are fabulous, and would recommend these to anyone.

Stayed here for 3 nights starting the day after bank holiday monday and it was fab, we had such a great time. We got a great deal through using vouchers from the newspaper - £140 for 3 nights with awning on the camper van and EHU plus access to the theme park for 4 days. We didn't leave site once which was great. Kids (10 and 7) loved it.
Showers and toilets clean and modern, although the shower temp couldn't be adjusted and was a little on the hot side.
All pitches in caravan/motorhome section are hardstanding with grass to the side for the awnings and despite heavy rain seemed to be well drained.
The swimming pool is good although a little cold and the kids did a snorkeling lesson which they really enjoyed. It has 2 pools and and 2 slides and there is also an outdoor water play area but we didn't use this.
It was a short walk to the theme park, queues were long but we bought a few Qbuster tickets for £2/ride/person and went straight to the front of the queue. The zoo and shows were brilliant.
Supermarket on site was well stocked and good prices.
The site was quite noisy on an evening up to 11ish but this wasn't a problem for us as our kids went to bed later. Could see it being a problem if younger children needed to get to sleep earlier on an evening.
We will definitely return here, it was fantastic.

We've just returned from our first touring holiday and found flamingo land to be excellent, we found a pitch really easy and the facilities were very clean and there was more than enough for the campers. There was plenty of security about too, the only thing they could improve on is the lighting on the way back from the theme park to the touring site as with me walking back with 5 year old twins it was a bit daunting. Really good value for money and we will definitely be going back

Our favourite site!
Has everything!
Lovely toilets/shower facilities
Clean and tidy
Roads newly tarmac
Can pitch porch up no extra costs!
2 pm leaving time! (But you can just put your car around the front and go back into the park for another full day! No extra charge!)
We stayed low season April and June. For me there is no better value for money than to stay over, bearing in mind that it costs £35 an adult for a day pass into the park, we, a family of 2 adults and 1 child of 2 years of age, stayed Sat & Sun and left site at around 5 pm when park closed. So that's 2 nights and 3 days I'm the park. Came to £119. With that you get access to swimming pool too and golf course, although only used swimming pool. There is a cost cutter shot on site with seasonable prices, same you would pay in your local really. There is a pizza shop now near the bar which is a little expensive (£10 any pizza) but is nice. Fish and chip shop too. Zoo is great! Very well kept and tidy. All in all this is our favourite site as a family and if going to go away in tent, this is the first place we try to make! Recommend highly!

Booked a 3 night off peak stay which included entry to the park for the duration.
Bit confusing on arrival, you pull in front of the reception to book in then have to swing around to pass through security.
Checking in exceptional. The woman saved me quite a bit of money by explaining you vacate your pitch by 2pm, but then park your van outside reception and go back into the park, so no need to pay for an extra night to enjoy the full day! Also no charge for porch awnings, just full ones.
Anyhow, not that busy when we were there
Hardstanding pitch level and dry, roads smooth.
Toilet facilities spotless, although could be too few if all pitches were booked.
Pool area great, pool warm and slides enjoyed by our daughter!
Park clean, zoo good, rides varied and no waiting for most of them.
Food, we only used the fish & chip takeaway, but well priced and tasty.
Shop, well stocked but very expensive!
You choose your own pitch so choose wisely. Our neighbours were def night owls, we heard a lot of very tired kids being brought home late at night
All in all a great weekend, but I think it would be different if full as pitches feel very close together and facilities may be stretched.

Just back from a 2 night low season break over halloween.
Site was clean and tidy staff very helpful.
Could see problems during bad weather as grassed areas were very soggy underfoot. Hardstanding for vans and mobile homes could do with tidying up/ tarmac.
Toilets were spotless.
Pool was liked by my youngest (7) though was cold in deep end.
Rides and zoo excellent 15 mins waiting but can see that being much worse in high season.
Though there is a club on site the site was quiet and there were no teenagers causing problems as can be the case in the evenings.
The Club was busy and all tables full. Shows were usual kids entertainment which my kids enjoyed. (didn't stay for adult shows). Can see this being overcrowded in high season.
There are cafes with takeaway food on site that looked reasonably priced though we didn't use them.
The Shop was large but as end of season was running out of some items. All in all we thought it was good value and had a pleasant stay but don't think it would be as good during very busy high season higher priced periods. Personally feel there are too many pitches for the facilities on site especially during high season.
