Spend 4 days here. The tent field was flat and spacious enough with EHU and water for each pitch.
our main gripe was with the toilet/shower facilities. They were dated and unheated though there were two girls cleaning all day long they were fighting a losing battle. Mainly the fault was with the campers and the mess they left behind.
very good value break though with full access to the theme park and zoo which thrilled our 5 year old. 4 days was adequate.

Stayed for 4 nights at start of July cost £220 because we didn't take hookup (including entrance fee) Touring field is vast and they have a spare field too at the back if they need it.
Plenty of toilet/shower blocks with elsan and fresh water points at each one.
You can leave the park so long as you have your white slip and wristband for security upon return.
There is a costcutter on site which was very reasonable and stocked a great variety of goods including irn bru, alcohol etc.
The laundrette is a reasonable size however is not operated by flamingoland and any problems must be reported by telephone to a call centre at your own cost. The site has a swimming pool and spa/gym, the pool is free if you are wearing a wristband I cannot comment on spa/gym prices as we didn't use them. Kids playground outside pool. The American bar provides the nightly entertainment in the holiday village and is good for young kids but automatically kicks in to adult entertainment without warning. Think 8:30pm and the host is asking the adults onstage to go into crowd and find a bra.
The flamingoland park itself is fantastic for families and when you stay in the holiday village you can do all the big rides early.
No complaints at all with the holiday village and we will be back for our holiday next year

We went camping for a week in a tent and it was really good. Because it was out of season, there was hardly anyone there so we could pick our pitch.
The shower rooms and toilets were clean, the showers rooms were large, handy if you've got little children. There were plenty of them, 3 blocks in all and plenty cubicles. All within a short distance. There's also a pots n pans room attached.
The site has electric hook-up and water supply all on individual posts and there's plenty of them too.
The park itself delivered as usual its variety of entertainment, with rides to suit all, the zoo and different shows to watch, although the zoo was a bit disappointing. You used to be able to walk all round the zoo and go right up to all the animals and birds, but some of the paths are blocked off stopping you from doing so and there is a wooden bridge to walk over, hope this is a temporary thing.
Some people find the entrance fee a bit steep, but when you consider what you get for your money, we think its worth it, we come here every year for the day, this being our 13th year, and if you camp out of season, you get unlimited access.
The evening entertainment was impressive, I expected a small club house with cheesy club singers, the venue is large with a variety of entertainment and very talented singer/dancers, beware though, you have to go through the arcade to get to it, so if you like the slots or have kids who think you're a walking bank, you'll spend a fortune before you even reach the bar!
So if you're thinking of camping in flamingo land I recommend it, we'll definitely go back, I recommend electric hook-up too, a bit more comfortable on darker nights.

The theme park itself is always a great day out as their is plenty to go at. My biggest disappointment was that the touring pitches. They could have been better for the cost of a pitch per night.
We found it quite difficult to find a decent pitch, when we booked we were led to believe that we were to be on a super pitch ( waste water and fresh water hook up ) the electric hook up bollard shared its space with the drinking water taps of which had a leak the tap was squirting water onto the electric points, the bottom of the bollard was submerged in water as there wasn't a drain for the water to run away into so the ground was always wet.
To empty your waste water you had to cart it off to the elsan point next to the toilet block through the caravans of which was a bit of a walk away. In my view this touring site needs to be updated as its not worth the money per night for what they charge.
Apart from the above this isnt a bad site it just needs a good revamp of which wouldn't cost the earth to do.

Stayed for 2 nights in a tent.
The site is excellent, very friendly & efficient staff, you can just turn up & pretty much pitch up where you like.
Ground is perfect for tents, flat, soft & well drained.
Every pitch has a water tap, electric hook up & a hard standing for your car.
There are loads of showers, toilets & washing up facilities, all free of charge & really clean.
There is a cost-cutter shop on site which is well stocked & reasonably priced, open from 8am - 8pm & has an in-store bakery.
There are also loads of places to eat, we mainly used metropolis which has home cooked food, as does the on site public house.
Prices where fairly reasonable for a theme park resort & food was very good.
There are also several take aways & diners.
There is a club house with entertainment, a gym & swimming pool which you can use free of charge.
The theme park itself is excellent.
There is something for everyone, we had 4
Children with us from aged 2 to 13 & all had a great time.
There is a zoo in the theme park too & you can tell the park is very well maintained & invested in.
All in all if you have children then you can't go wrong here, excellent facilities, great theme park but take note the resort is very lively & can be a bit noisy on a night, but that is my one & only criticism.

We booked for a weekend as a surprise for the kids and we weren't disappointed in fact we had a fantastic time! The weather was good the park was brilliant and the campsite was very good.
The toilets and showers were clean. The camp is massive in fact you don't book to come you just turn up! We will be coming back again at some point. The weekend was not cheap compared to usual camping experiences but it was certainly value for money with unlimited entry into the theme park. The weekend cost us 160 pounds for 2 adults and 3 children. Which was good considering a day pass would of cost us 110 pounds!
I would recommend this park to anyone with children, they will love it.

This is a really good site its great for the kids. The swimming pool on site is good there is also a clubhouse which had some good entertainment on. There is a chinese takeaway on site which does very nice food and a fish and chip shop which is also very nice. Flamingoland itself is brill the kids went over by themselves and had a great time on the rides not having to queue long as it was low season. It was quite expensive to stay there but not when you think of how much it costs to get in for one day. We went for my daughters birthday it was well worth it. We will go again soon.

We have visited Flamingoland twice this year both out of season and found it excellent value for money cost about £170 for 2 adults and 3 children for 3 nights, it would of cost over £100 just to get in the park for 1 day. We have arrived on both occasions around 9pm, there is never any problems arriving late as you pay at the security guards cabin and then just find a plot The kids love it and out of season no queues, there is plenty inside the park to keep all ages happy and the food we had was good and well priced for a theme park. Never tried the swimming pool as never had time so cant comment, the touring park is okay but can be muddy at times as the hard stand does not go right up to the road so the grass can get churned up, we got stuck the first time, luckily a few fellow campers helped us out The shower blocks are okay but as they are individual cubicals (not inside a block) they can be cold but plenty of hot water. The club house is very good with entertainment every night. We will be going back again next year.

When we arrived on the Friday the site was virtually empty, but filled up over the weekend - but being huge was never crowded.
The toilet and showers were basic, but very clean, with plenty of hot water. I loved the fact that the shower cubicals were spacious, with a good sized dry area, a major plus when you have two take two children in with you. The was a decent sized shelf for soap / shampoo etc. The only minor grip, was that you kept having to press the button every 30 or so seconds. There were three shower blocks so plenty of showers. Washing up area nice and clean, with a bin for food scraps.
We spent most of the time in the theme park/zoo. Because it was towards the end of the season there were no queues for the rides - which was great.
There was an on site shop, which looks as though it is well stocked during the summer months, but as the park was closing later that week, they were running stocks down. Prices are on average with the likes of Spar / Londis.
We got a meal at the on site Chinese takeaway - nice food reasonably priced. Also ate in the Metropolis Bar - nice food, decent sized portions and not over priced.
Was pleasantly surprised at the prices of things like an ice cream / cup of tea in the park - cone with a flake £1.35 - cheaper than the local ice cream van.
We have already promised the children that we will go back next October.

We have been visiting Flamingoland for over 20 years, but this is the first time we have stayed on the site.
We found it spacious with plenty of room between pitches, but the place seemed to be nothing more than a featureless car park with a bit of grass.
The toilet blocks were adequate and the pool spotless with a gym and sauna for those that way inclined.
The onsite club was lively with good family entertainment when we visited and a cracking little chippy. There's also a Chinese takeaway which seemed to be popular with the regular visitors we talked to.
Access to the club is through an arcade which can be costly if you have kids in tow.
Early risers can have their pick of the rides in the main park which gets busy around noon when the coaches arrive.
Not cheap, but does exactly what it says on the tin and we will be back next year.
