We stayed here for 3 nights 3 Adults & 2 Children
And had a great time, the kids loved it,nice swimming pool there.
Was fairly Quiet at night time which surprised me for a big site,1 or 2 noisy people were asked to keep the noise down and they did.
Toilet block 1 could be kept cleaner ,2 and 3 were good and cleaned regularly, showers were good loads of room in them .
No problems with electric hook up,hard standing pitches were good.
Park is excellent and worth visiting, We would definitely go again.

Just returned from a two night stay, 4 adults and a 3yrs old, came to £35.50p each to stay (3yrs old is free) That included full access to theme park, baths, entertainment etc,a bargain. This was a low season offer and is repeated in September. Site is large and we were told to park anywhere we wanted to. Hard standings with electric and water. Toilets clean, showers were unisex lockable rooms. They were clean and plenty of hot water. We were able to enter the theme park for three days, and had a great time, very few people there. You have to be off site by 2pm on last day but we just parked on the ample car park and stayed in the theme park till it closed. We will be returning to this venue soon. All the staff were great, very helpful.

Have just returned back from a four night break,we arrived at 1800 hrs on Thursday night and were met by friendly helpful staff. It cost us £215 for the break for 5 people and electric hook up. We were told to pitch wherever we liked so chose a quiet corner close to the toilet blocks (these were mostly clean but were unisex, the shower blocks were adequate - locking rooms and plenty hot water. There are both disabled loos and showers on site, with full washing up facilities for your dishes) The pitches are large and you can choose your own to suit yourself. There is a large hedge running round the site which acts like a windbreak but only camp nearby if you like birdsong at all times of the day and night! Most pitches have electric hook up and running water points.the price we paid also gave us unlimited access to the theme park, swimming pool and evening entertainment - a godsend with a boisterous four year old to entertain. There are two takeaways open in the evening (fish and chips and Chinese) that are not bad priced. There are two good restaurants on site as well for evenings and bars are open all day. There is a costcutters supermarket on site - small but well stocked and open at decent times - and a launderette open 9 to 5 (£4.00 for a wash cycle and 1.50 for tumble dryer) We walked miles round the theme park and zoo which has been done to a high standard, and there are plenty of attractions for old and young alike. Well worth the admission price. The only downside was the queues for rides were miles long over the weekend but during the week there are no queues at all. I would highly recommend this site for family holidays as although you pay double what you would to pitch at a normal campsite the attractions and entertainment are second to none. We shall definitely be revisiting in the near future.

Went over the August bank holiday and the campsite was packed, and the weather (for once) was gorgeous.
We got a great pitch with water and electricity and not too far from everything, just turned up on the day too without booking. Found the showers and toilets okay plenty of them and reasonably clean for the amount of people using them.
Loads to do at Flamingoland for kids (8, 11) and 'big' kids we all loved it, didn't even leave the site over the 3 days we were there as we were kept busy all the time. The queues for the rides were between 10-20 minutes but as it was really packed this was understandable. There's a swimming pool which was really good and entertainment at night time, which was packed so had trouble getting a seat sometimes, but we spent most of our evenings having a b-b-q and drink around the tent.
We all had a fab time and would definitely go back.

This is our second visit to the site and was hoping for better considering the promise of toilet block renovation. The toilets although new were not clean again, maybe someone should show the cleaners how to use a toilet brush. The showers are still not clean and they are only cleaned by a wet brush. Hate to imagine the state of them at the end of the season. The playground on site was used by children after darkness had fallen so please be aware that it is not the best place to camp by if you want peace and quiet at night. Although the theme park and zoo are an attraction please consider the cost of the site fees in addition we payed £30 for adults and 2 children a night (a bit steep considering) We could use the pool but were turned away once (as were others as it was too full). The pool was cool and the toilets and changing rooms are absolutely disgusting. The toilets could use a good scrub and not just bleaching at the end of an evening. When I challenged staff about the toilets throughout the site I was told that the toilets being unclean was down to the visitors on site not being clean enough. Not really the answer anyone wants to hear. But to be fair we would go again as we could use our own facilities and the children loved it. It was worth putting up with the toilets for the childrens enjoyment.

We have just returned from a 2 night weekend break for my 9 year olds birthday. Whilst booking in I explained that my hubby would be joining us later for one night only (in his own car,) This was an extra £20 fee! Now I've got that off my chest here goes with the review. When we arrived we we told to head down 'that road'. I found my way there but I didn't have a clue where I was going, if I had to book in at reception.Anything really! (You don't book in, once you have paid at the gate, you go straight down to the field and set up.) The grass was at least 4 inch long and with it being wet weather, it was like driving in a swamp. I'd go as far as to say if I didn't have a 4X4 I wouldn't have got the van on or off the hard standing pitch. The toilets are a serious let down. Very old and needing a utter re-vamp. (Leaking toilets, no tops on taps.) The showers were dirty, old and very sad looking. The facilities were such that there wasn't even anywhere to empty the sink water. I had to lift this onto the toilet waste point, (excellent with a knackered back!) I had witnessed people just tipping the waste water onto the field. The smell must be terrible during hot weather! I was very glad we were only here for 2 nights. The next morning we went into the park. This was very enjoyable. We enjoyed both the rides and zoo - a great day out! At about 2pm we headed back to the van for dinner, a nice sit down and a bit of a rest before heading back. Once night-time and darkness had set in, the noise started! I never understand how any parent can be too busy having a drink to let the children run, well, wild. Screaming and shouting until past 11pm.Not the best! BUT.This is the fault of the people who stayed there and NOT the site. If you want an enjoyable day out in Flamingoland then the site is ideal, really close for nipping back for anything you need. However, it seems that the owners know that you are staying there for the park and so haven't really bothered with the touring/camping park, knowing that if you like days out like this you will return whatever the facilities are like. Personally I would not return here. We had a meal at the Black Bull pub just down the road, (Check out the ratings in camp site search.) and it was fantastic. We would stay here and visit the park for a day out.Best of both worlds!

Stayed here for 9 days and loved it - glad to get back home for a rest!. Great site for families - loads to do with the theme park, zoo and pool. Great pitches for tents - really flat - pitch wherever you like. Just timed it right as English schools hadnt broke off - was starting to get busier as we were leaving - could imagine huge queues in the height of summer when all schools off. Only downside were the toilets/showers - poor cleaner - she really did try her best but at times they were still filthy with no toilet roll at all. Very old toilet block but believe they are to be modernised next year. Overall a brill hol and will definitely return.

We arrived to rain however some friendly campers helped us lift water logged tent. No matter how much it rained pitch stayed dry. We put our tent on second pitch sign posted non electric tourers this did have some electric pitches and was much quieter than first park. Toilets were okay except when kids stole all the toilet roll. Park was great we stayed 10 nights and only went out of the park three days - children loved the rides and the zoo and never got bored. There were queues but never too long and if you really wanted to go on something you just went there first thing in the morning when park opened. Night time entertainment was busy and drink expensive but we were so tired could not be bothered going out. Wasn't very well advertised. Definitely recommend as family holiday - swimming pool was clean and well supervised

Well what can I say, two adults and two children for 5 nights for under £300. We had the best time with plenty to do and see. The camp site is a little disorganised basically you found a pitch and plonked yourself on it but it does have 500 pitches. but the pitches were level and we had plenty of room for 20ft Caravan, awning and car. The 3 club houses were well managed but we did feel the main club could do with extending as it was full every night and they liked to pack everyone in. The managment did thier best to keep the showers clean (4 blocks) but with such a big site sometimes they got grotty quickly. Get your timing right and you could have a decent shower (around 2.30 pm) any other time like morning and early evening forget it. I would recomend it if you like theme parks and a look round the zoo a must. but be warned the kids will keep you on the go all day so not very relaxing. The park security did a great job the site was not noisy after midnight if people were having a drink and been loud they were asked to keep the noisy down. We will definatly go again.

What can I say about Flamingo Land? Plenty touring pitches away from the main park. A zoo, shows and rides, cafes, clubs, pubs, and lots more besides. This was a great holiday. We stayed here for two weeks. The kids loved being able to go on all the different rides in the showground area. We all enjoyed the zoo. The shows were also top quality acts and the club was packed most nights. Try to get there at about 6pm for the best seats. There is so much to do on site that it is difficult to fit it all in which just added to this experience. The Yorkshire area has so much to offer that the best way to find out about things to do outside the park is to ask at reception. The staff are extremely helpful and full of local Knowledge.
