One of our favourite sites. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. Beautiful showers which are kept immaculate at all times and with a wide choice of shower units there are never any queues. The grass areas are kept short and tidy. A small shop provides all the essentials you need and you can order a paper if you wish. Next door is a small Information Bureau with plenty of leaflets with information about places to go in the area including a bus timetable which is very useful as there is a bus to Filey and one to Scarborough roughly alternately every half hour. The bus can be caught at the Ox Inn a short walk from the site entrance and on return journeys most drivers are usually happy to drop you off at the site gates.
I would highly recommend this site and hope to return again before the end of the season.

Having only just bought our first caravan we chose this site for our first outing and so pleased we did. The facilities are excellent and the people very friendly and helpful. On arriving they took our caravan to our pitch and made sure it was level and also asked us if we needed any more help as they knew we were novices. There is a dog area for you to take your dog which is well maintained and a nature area. We enjoyed so much we went back for a second visit and this time ventured on putting up the porch awning up which we dreaded but in fact it was easier then we thought and didn't take too long. We will certainly be going back again sometime soon.

Stayed at this site over the late May bank holiday for four nights with two grandchildren aged eight and thirteen

As soon as we entered the site the guy approached our unit with his tractor to tow and level our van at the pitch. Not a bad start.

Paid ten pound refundable deposit for a barrier fob although through the daytime it was set on automatic.

We found all the staff very friendly and they pointed out where all the toilet blocks, waste water, chemical toilets ect were on the site.

We were booked on a grass pitch on a gentle slope which had been levelled for us.

Pitches were spacious and complete grass unlike some sites you would be lucky to find a square foot of mud on the whole grounds.

Toilets and facilities were spotlessly clean.

It was nice to see the holiday makers adhering to the speed limit, with a lot of young kids including ours out on their bikes.

The oldest grandchild enjoyed the small football pitch and free wifi, whilst the youngest was out on her bike most of the time.

The site is about two miles from Filey, around five miles from Scarborough, a pub a short walk from the site and about fifteen minutes away a second pub with an outdoor and indoor kids play area which served meals.

It would be extremely difficult to find a fault with this site, a credit to the owners.

We thoroughly enjoyed our break at Lebberston and will be back.

We have just returned from our 4th visit to Lebberston Touring Caravan Park and nothing changes, it is just as spotlessly clean in the toilets and shower blocks as always, (the NHS could learn a lot about cleanliness from Mark and his superb Team) the pitches are like a snooker table, the grassed areas trimmed and neat. Customer service is way above average and there is always a welcome smile to greet you.

The charges are less than other local sites and the electric hook up is free and 16 amps to boot. Don't waste your time going to other local sites, they just not in the same class.

Thank you again Mark and your team for our relaxing stay, looking forward to our next visit.

Loved this site. Easy to set up and superbly arranged. Peaceful, spacious and very well appointed. We spent five days at Lebberston and were very pleased with both location and facilities.

It's located just south of Scarborough and a little north of Filey, off the beaten track on the old Scarborough to Filey road.

If you're in this part of East Yorkshire, there is simply loads of things to see, from Whitby and the North York Moors the other side of Scarborough. There's also the don't miss Robin Hoods Bay. If you go west from the site you're heading towards Pickering and some charming Yorkshire villages. And of course south, you can head towards Bridlington. And if you do, don't miss old Bridlington and one of the largest town churches in the country.

Would we go again? A very definite yes!

Recently visited this site for the second time, expecting as good a welcome as before. How wrong could I be. Arrived 15mins early after a 4 hour drive, parked in waiting area which was empty. On going to reception was asked what I wanted, said I had booked a hard standing super pitch, wardens then looked at each other and one pointedly asked, is the pitch ready. Bearing in mind this is a gravel pitch, with no maintenance required, this was obviously meant as a sarcastic remark as I was a few minutes early. Not a great welcome. Was instructed down the hill on the left, told which two shower blocks to use.

Lots of vans, but not a soul about. Now obvious most of the vans here are static tourers, A new area has been developed for them, with a new hotel standard shower block ( we were not shown to this on arrival)

Obviously no longer a touring site, very few touring pitches. No childs play area apart from one grass area with a goal post, and a sign saying no kite flying.

Such a shame that financial return per pitch has overtaken the social/community spirit of a genuine touring site.
Management response: Thank you for your review Chucklejohn. When we replied to your original post on Trip Advisor under the name JohnN, Norwich on 21st July 2017 we responded fully and honestly.

Following this reply you have also found it necessary to submit this additional review to UKCampsite.co.uk which ignores all points fully explained regarding our park and the provision of a peaceful and relaxing environment for everyone who visits us. We explained in detail and apologised for any offence caused by misconception of our warden’s question to her colleague. The important positive comment you previously made regarding the immaculate facilities we provide has been removed from your new UKCampsite.co.uk review.

In addition to your previous Trip Advisor review you also state here that there ‘was not a soul about’ however of the 51 regular touring pitches we have on the main part of our park, over your seven night stay with us, there were 30, 22, 23, 23, 25, 27, and on the last night 38 pitches occupied. This is in addition to some of the 54 seasonal pitches in this main area which were also occupied although, as they come and go as they please, we do not have figures for their nightly stays with us. As you stayed with us in June and previously in September, we assume you like to avoid very busy times which you did very successfully.

The amenity block you refer to is the one furthest away from the superpitch you were sited on and we are not in the habit of showing the most distant block away from guests as this would be inconvenient for most, however all three blocks are open to everyone and provide the same standard of facilities and cleanliness throughout.

We addressed your previous Trip Advisor comment regarding our open area provision for children to play in the middle of our park. Now in addition you also comment we have a notice here which does indeed request no kite flying. This was a suggestion from the previous park owner when we took over the business nearly 20 years ago as he had two instances that year where kites had come down on the top of caravans and punctured the skin of the unit and we are pretty sure that nobody would want this to happen to their pride and joy.

At Lebberston Touring Park we are pleased to welcome back the large majority of our lovely guests time after time. We are delighted they appreciate our warm Yorkshire welcome and hard work in the provision of Visit England five star, AA 4 pennant gold, multi-award winning accommodation for caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents which is shown in feedback here and on further review websites.

We have just spent 8 nights at this site and cannot fault it, it was everything we could have asked for and more.

The staff are extremely helpful, very friendly and work very hard to keep the park spotlessly neat, clean and tidy.

The site has a reception/shop which sell basic provisions and you can order daily papers which are available from 8am each day. There is an information room stocked with tourist information, local information, bus times etc plus books and magazines to borrow.

Very good recycling facilities on site.

The toilet/shower facilities blocks are bright, light, airy and spotlessly clean. The showers are free and operated by a push button and the temperature is preset (not adjustable) but this caused us no problems. The water temperature was always fine and constant but if the shower had not been used a while it just took a short time for the warm water to come through. The shower cubicles are a good size with a curtain to pull across, hooks and a plastic table for your things. There are also individual wash basins in privacy cubicles.

There is a separate family bathroom, with a 20p charge for the bath. And also a separate disabled shower room, which is accessed with a radar key.

The hard standing pitches are well covered with gravel and although the park is sloping, a lot of effort has been made to ensure that the pitches are level. There are some grass pitches too, There is a mix of touring pitches and seasonal pitches and caravan storage is also available and appears to be well used.

There is lots to do in the area, a scenic and interesting coast line with several seaside towns to visit. Plus the North Yorkshire Moors for walking and the North York Moors Steam Railway.

In summary, one of the best sites we have been to. If you like just a very basic site then don't come here, it is a high standard site and could easily meet the standards of a certain Cxxxxxn Club.

Just spent 3 nights at this lovely site. It is in a beautiful, quiet location with some fantastic views and very peaceful with no noise. On arrival we were greeted and given a very warm, friendly welcome and asked if we wanted the van to be pitched for us, hubby said yes straight away and off we went. It it a sloping site in parts and I must admit that I was surprised how the van was pitched for us with blocks under the offside wheel, it looked cock-eyed but was spot level! The pitch was quite generous with a separate parking space next to it. There is a small shop in the reception with reasonable prices.

You can order papers and collect them from the shop in the morning. There is an information room with loads of leaflets and books etc. The facilities are spotless with roomy showers with push buttons and plenty of room for changing and a curtain to keep things dry. Although it was just us 2 oldies, children are welcome with a big play area in the centre. There is pub in the village, the Ox Inn but we never used it. All in all well worth a visit and we will be back.

Chose this site for our first adventure in our caravan. So glad we did, the staff were lovely and so helpful. Being new to caravanning I was nervous about getting my van onto the pitch so the site owner hooked it up to his tractor and did it for me. We found my EHU cable wasn't long enough (only 10 mtr), no problem, I was loaned a cable at no extra charge. The facilities are spotlessly clean, can't wait to go back in a few week time.
