Their is nothing more to add than absolutely superb, on arrival access and check in easy and you are greeted and informed well of the site rules further more the chaps will put your van on the back of the mini tractor and site and level your van for you! How about that for service! The site itself is spotless and the toilet and shower block is spotless in fact it is immaculate, staff are friendly helpful and will take the time to chat with you and help or assist in any matter.
Outside of the site beautiful Filey is only a couple of miles away with Scarborough as well only a short distance both can be reached via the bus stop, a short walk from the site, both of these town's are a good day out but if you want a really nice town and a good day of fantastic scenery is Whitby enjoy the beach or go on a fishing trip or a short sea trip or for the able bodied the 199 steps to the abbey ruins, get the kids to count the steps on the way down quite amusing!
For nearest shops for food Scarborough has the usual supermarkets but also whilst driving around their is fresh produce to be bought. In fact free range egg's are available at the touring site, very good.
The only thing I would of liked to have seen at the campsite would of been a kiddies play area but to be honest the kids seem to get on ok with out it and making up play times of their own scooter's bike's etc
All in all if you was to visit this site you will not be disappointed great site tidy clean and safe and good staff for good measure! And would I re-visit, well I have already booked again for next year.

Just returned from a 3 night bank holiday stay. Had originally managed to book two nights as we were working bank holiday but having got it off we asked about the possibility of an extra night. They had to shuffle things about a bit but managed to get us in.
On arrival we booked in with the friendly lady in the shop, she told us to un-hitch and they would position our caravan for us. This is a great service as it can be a bit tight getting into the pitches. The pitches themselves are huge but the road running through the pitches is not very wide and people were tending to park in front of their vans for some reason, this means a reverse round a corner, something the man on the tractor can do, no problem. Before un-hitching and leaving us to set up, he even made sure the van was level for us.
While I mentioned the pitches were large, the camping field was very open, rows of caravans in every direction, even though we were in the far corner it did seem a little bit of a claustrophobic setup.
For our extra night we had to move to 'the paddock', a small overflow field just outside the barrier. It had its own tap and waste water drain. Again they came and moved our van onto the paddock for us on Sunday morning.
The facilities are some of the best I have seen, toilet blocks were spotless all the time, the showers were nice and warm (and free, always a bonus) even the elsan point was spotless.
There could have been a few more water taps dotted around but all in all this was a great site. The bins were getting a bit full as we were leaving but this is the same with most places. They do ask that you try to recycle some of your rubbish, a small ask for all they do for their guests.
The site was quiet and peaceful, I probably would not come again as we prefer something a bit smaller and more enclosed, but would highly recommend it

This is a gem of a site. Visited for the Bank Holiday weekend, weather was lovely which helps, and had a pitch down the bottom end which was ideal for us.
The whole site is immaculate including the grounds and the 2 impressive shower blocks. Facilities are excellent with an enclosed dog run and the owners/wardens cannot do enough for you. Yes there are rules for us dog owners but they are only what considerate dog owners should be doing anyway.
The site just works with the massive grass area for kids to play on in the middle with the caravans parked round the outside. Don't really understand the necessity for a kids playground from some reviews as we found plenty of games to play to keep our 6 year old granddaughter happy. It did seem to bring the children of all ages together to play.
We will definitely return

Very friendly staff with checking in £10 required for barrier key refunded on leaving. Toilets and showers very clean and plenty of hot water. Small reception with basic and pricey items. A lot of rules especially for dog owners. Five minutes walk to bus stop either side of road, one side to filey other side Scarborough. Pub on main road but was closed but under offer, would have been a bonus if open. No shops around the site nearest about mile and half away. Not much pathway to walk on if you have small children or like us a dog. Area for children to play with football nets nothing else.

We are newbies to motorhoming and found the owners and wardens on this site to be very helpful and patient. Helping us with the levelling blocks etc. Our pitch was right at the top of the site, near the office. I think its prettier at the bottom end. We were on hardstanding, and though they had thought they were doing us a favour with that- we had no grass at all which I found disappointing. But as we were only staying 2 nights we didn't ask if we could move.
The site appeared to be very well maintained. Toilet/shower blocks were clean and the information room was a nice touch.
There were 2 pubs in walking distance. We tried one of them, but didn't eat there so cant comment on the food.
We went to cayton bay for the day from here. Caught bus outside the ox pub. Think it was £1
I might stay here again, if I needed to be in the area, but I would want a pitch at the bottom of the site

We arrived at this site and were booked in very quickly and our caravan towed to our pitch without any fuss what so ever. We were told where everything was and told if we needed any help to just ask.
The site is a sloping site so having an awning can be a problem if you are on the sides of the site, but not an problem if you have just a van.
If you do want to use your awning I suggest asking for a pitch at the top or bottom of the site and not on a hardstanding as rock pegs are a must.
The site is very clean, the grass well kept and the shower blocks immaculate.
There are plenty of rules regarding dogs and noise but these are just asking people to follow common sense and courtesy.
My only gripe is facilities for children, there is a football pitch set up for ball games, but it needs a more small child friendly play area items such as swings and/or slide etc.

Just a quick review. Very nice site. Well maintained. Excellent facilities - nice and clean. Good security. Nice and peaceful.
Only two points we picked up on - constructive comments:
The plastic speed bump is very fierce. How many times did I hear vans go over it (slowly) and heard everything rattle about inside the van. Please retire it and replace with a tarmac one as with the rest of the roads.
The only thing for children to do is the football pitch. If your kids don't want to play football, there is no other area of focus for them. With the amount of children there, we thought there would be a real benefit of having some other play area - there is plenty of room next to the football pitch.
But other than that, it is a very nice site, and we would definitely visit again.

We stayed here for 6 nights. The park is mainly on a slope except at the bottom corner where it is flatter. We were in this bottom corner where we were 1 line back from the tarmacked road. It made it a bit harder to ensure the kids were safe as there wasn't any boundary's around us and cars were sometimes coming past to get to their pitch.
There isn't any real facilities for the kids other than a sloping grass area with a goal pitch. But this was too far away from our pitch to let our kids go to and mainly attracted the older kids.
The facilities were good and the showers were clean and I didn't have any problems with the showers or toilets. The family room was great with a bath that operated by coin for hot water which was just the right amount. The pot wash is round the back and seems to be tucked away from everything. There were only 2 sinks in the block but I wasn't ever queuing for it.

From 16 to 18 July 2011, we stayed at Lebberston Touring Park. Having taken up caravanning again after a 17-year gap, we decided to try out our new purchase at this site. Booking was efficient and straight forward. At the time of booking I was advised about site security and understood what to expect on arrival.
Checking in could not have been simpler with their computerised system. Mark gave us lots of information to take away and personally positioned us on our pitch in the pouring rain. He then went on to point all the vital information to us like where the facilities were and the all important disposal points.
Having settled ourselves in, we found that the hot water would not fire up in the van. We tried everything in the manual but resorted to going to reception to ask about mobile repairers. Mark suggested trying a variety of things to get us going and could not have been more helpful. He has a mobile repairer to contact and he even knew that he had gone away for the weekend! How’s that for efficiency.
We abandoned the gas operation of the water heating and drove into Filey. When we came back it decided to work! The next time we called into reception, Mark remembered our problem and asked if we were ok – very thoughtful, he could have conveniently forgotten like many establishments would.
The site is generally flat; is immaculately tidy. There’s a well-stocked shop, newspaper service and a wealth of useful knowledge. There were children on the site but didn’t even know they were there and those visitors with dogs kept them very well behaved – after all these are some of the site rules, however, sadly they are often disregarded at other sites.
This site is a credit to the current owners who work hard to ensure you have a pleasant stay and they get five stars from us and we will be back again soon.

I chose to stop at Lebberston based on others reviews on this site, I have to agree with most, it is a very well run site. The staff are ever so friendly, helpful and very chatty.
The site is on a little bit of a slope, however there were sleepers and pallets at hand for each van and the owner really helped you site your van.
The showers were free and toilet blocks were very clean (some of the best I have seen). Even though the site was busy, it never felt overly so.
The only minor thing was that the playing filed only had two goals, nothing else for children, this meant it was dominated by boys kicking footballs (sometimes coming near the vans).
TV reception was great on site, they also had a very well stocked tourist info office. The shop itself only had a few items.
Location wise, you are 2 minutes form Filey and about 10 minutes from Scarborough, so is an ideal location for visiting the area.
