We recently returned from Lebberston after spending a week there with our friends – in total 4 adults and 5 children 10 and under in our two touring caravans.
This is a gem of a site set in a valley between Scarborough and Filey with lovely views across the countryside. It is gently sloping although the pitches are generally level, some hard standing mixed with grass, all with electric hook-ups. It is for touring caravans and motorhomes only, no tents. The grass areas are beautifully manicured like a bowling green with flower beds dotted all around.
Entrance to the site is easy along its own drive and through a barrier via a keycard system provided by the site. There are two amenities blocks, impeccably maintained with free hot showers. There are ample water and waste points all around the sites with a healthy emphasis on recycling. Site reception hosts a small shop selling essentials like milk and bread and you can order your papers to be collected on a daily basis. There is a Morrison’s supermarket about 10mins drive away for more extensive requirements with fuel and McDonalds if required!
The site has a large number of seasonal pitches and even though we were there in the height of summer it was not crowded at all. There is a play area in the middle of the site which is basically a small football field with two goals that our children loved. It was very peaceful and quiet at night, no noise from anyone.
The great resorts of Filey and Scarborough are 10mins drive away and you are on the edge of the North Yorks moors – we went via train to York for the day and went on the NYM steam railway from Pickering to Whitby.
In every way Lebberston is an excellent place to spend your holiday made especially so by the owners who have to be the most conscientious and dedicated people I have ever come across. They were up later at night and earlier in the morning than anyone walking the site, cleaning, cutting grass, advising and providing help and assistance to one and all. We were not even supposed to be staying at Lebberston but luckily they had room when we found our booked site had not processed our booking properly. They found temporary room for our two units for the first night and then towed them with their tractor to the proper pitches while we were out the next day, even levelling them up with their own blocks!
If you want a relaxing holiday on a fantastic site with brilliant owners then look no further than Lebberston. We will definitely return one day.

Fantastically clean toilets and shower area's, well kept site. Play area basic but the kids enjoyed it, close by to Scarborough centre and Bridlington, Whitby not too far away. Staff are really helpful and pleasant they show you to your pitch upon arrival and offer if you so wish to drive your caravan on the tractor to your pitch for you. Will definitely go back to this site A+++

Just stayed for the weekend at this fantastic site. Peace and quiet if you want a peaceful break. Have toured around different sites for 20 years and have never seen toilets and showers as immaculate as these. Owners and staff extremly helpful and pleasent. Bins emptied daily. Grass very well kept. You are guided to your site and not left to find it on your own. Surroundings stunning, pub just down road and close to plenty of beaches. A very secure site we will be back.

We have used this site a few times over the last 3 seasons and now store our caravan there.
This is the best site I have used on the East Coast with excellent clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. There is a shop at reception with long opening hours stocking essentials at reasonable prices (bottle of wine £5).
The grass has always been in great condition on our visits with good sized pitches in pleasant surroundings. There is a gentle slope to the site in places so I would recommend taking levelling blocks.
Children are catered for with a generously sized playing field with goalposts which keeps balls away from caravans.
Security is very good with a key card barrier protecting your pride and joy.
The site is in a good central location to explore the East Coast from Bridlington to Whitby and at only 3 miles from Filey can be walked for the adventurous.
I have always found that even when full, the site is peaceful with no rowdy behaviour.
The owners must be proud of their achievement with this site and it shows in the way they run it. Can't wait to go back

This site is lovely and quiet. The toilet blocks are the cleanest Ive seen and I am a very fussy person when it comes to toilets and showers. We will be visiting this place again, its lovely for walking into Filey.
The shop on site as the basics if you run out and always seemed to be open even at 8pm at night.

We have used this site now each year for the past five years. If you want a site that is friendly, quiet but great for the kids then look no further. The staff are fantastic, the amenities blocks are spotless and there is a great big area for the kids to run around and have fun without causing distress to other site users but for most units on the site still in full view. The site shop sells ample supplies including ice creams for the kids! If you like your site to have a bar and loud music playing to 2.00am then you wont find it here but if you like your site to have happy children who are not bouncing their footballs off the caravans of our more senior members of the community there is plenty of that.
We love it already booked for this year!

If anyone is thinking of visiting the Yorkshire coast, let me wholeheartedly recommend this site to you. It surely must be one of the best kept and well run sites on this coast, and certainly in the country. Very efficient and friendly, with the most spotless amenities we have come across. Things which make it special like parking your caravan for you, site already arranged ( if you have pre-booked ), Code locks on the toilet block doors to stop children messing up the Wardens hard work. Barrier on the entrance to make sure that nobody runs off with your pride and joy. Even though children and pets are allowed, they never become a nuisance ( very quiet at all times ). We will certainly be going back again.

We arrived on Friday and it was absolutely bouncing it down. We were shown to our first pitch which was unsuitable because of the rain so they gave us another pitch at the top of the site which was a lot better. The people are really friendly and were fantastic in helping us with our pitch. The following 2 days were glorious sunshine. The site is beautiful, it has stunning views of the surrounding countryside and it is so peaceful. The toilet block is immaculate and the recycling facilities are by far the best I have seen. There is no park for the children but there is a field in the middle of the site which had football goals etc for the kids. This is great as they are away from any caravans and they have plenty of room to runaround. The shop stocks ample groceries and the tourist information stocks just about every leaflet you can imagine. On Friday we ordered a Chinese to be delivered and it arrived within 45 minutes. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone wanting peace and quiet.
