We chose this campsite based on excellent reviews as words like beautiful and gem have been used to describe it.
Reviews are always subjective and we would describe this campsite as scruffy but with good, very clean toilet facilities.
The grass and hedges needed cutting and some cuttings from hedges strewn around.
It is in a good location for a stop over as it is close to the motorway and it is cheap but the little town is not pretty and many shops lie empty - a real air of neglect and we would not stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this fantastic municipal site. It is a very pretty, well run site with excellent toilet & shower facilities.
There is a central block which is where you can access free wi-fi, borrow books, or board games & play table football or just sit & relax. It is a short pleasant walk into the small town & there is a supermarket with fuel a short distance away too.
Pitches are a good size, with hedges around, some overlook the river. It is a short distance from the motorway & makes an excellent stopover or even longer stay. Very good value for money cost less than 12 euros for 2 with electricity.
The warden was very friendly & helpful. Just make sure you don’t arrive during lunchtime when reception is closed!
A beautiful site which I am sure we will return to again.

One of the very best. A simply wonderful stopover.
We have been twice and will do a longer stay when we get the chance.
Just a bit tricky down through the town (use the local signs) but well worth it!

What a beautiful site to stay at, decided to stay 2 nights on way home after stopping of on the way down to Royan for one night.
The village is charming as well. The site is quiet and peaceful with the river running through it and the couple who run the site amazing, you all need to visit this site for yourselves, 29 eruos for two nights a steal.
No worries on the site facilities if you require showers and wash up area etc. Enjoy.

A well kept site, warm welcome and choice of pitch. San facs very clean and useable. Lovely village to stroll through.
Added bonus, there is a large field for dogs to use (on leads). Quiet at night
Will use again as it is an easy drive from Ouistreham.

Quite simply one of the loveliest sites we have been to in over twenty years of touring in France. Incredible facilities for a comparatively small site. Highly recommended for a short stay or stopover.
Incredible value for money, we paid less than 14 Euros night. Receptionist was so friendly and helpful.
Do avoid arriving at lunchtime when reception is closed.

Stopped for one night on our way back to Tunnel. What a great little site.
Clean and well kept. There is a play area. In the town there is a great restaurant, had a Pizza.
Will definitely stop here next year as not far off the motorway.

Our third stopover at this convenient, peaceful site after a nightmare crossing and a non stop drive from Calais. The approach road is always a leap of faith but we have yet to meet anyone coming the other way. Do follow the signs and not Sat Nav. If leaving the A28 at J20 (Southbound) take the first exit from the roundabout. (Sat Nav would have you take the second and cut a corner). Other reviews have covered most other points about this site, but none have mentioned the Pizza Artisanales in the village, which is a fully automated pizza machine in a hole in the wall. You makes your choice, then you pays your money. Result: A piping hot and tasty pizza of your choice for about E8. 50. It's opposite the Coccinelle supermarket, with a large car park.

Very little to add to previous reviews.
A well maintained spacious friendly site. Good sanitaires and friendly guardienne.
Sites fronting the river are much quieter
Not much happening in the town but a wonderful stopover for a day or two

So much more than an overnight stopover. Well kept site with great facilities and massive pitches. The receptionist spoke perfect English but appreciated my French.
The town has few bars and three supermarkets.
We had two nights and will return
