This was my first trip in my vintage 1975 tourer, and as a novice caravanner, the site staff could not have been more helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble. During my stay, as a senior novice, I returned from Oswestry to find the strong wind had half collapsed my awning -
Within 10 minutes of my emailing the site manager, he came out and helped me secure it for the night, even though it was thundering -
Next morning his brother came and secured it further -
I would certainly return to this site many times in the future -
I cannot praise the site enough for it's facilities and it's staff -
The disabled washroom and level access shower is fantastic.
There are quite sufficient water taps and rubbish disposal areas, including a recycling area for the planet conscious too!
Brilliant site! Bus passes nearby both to Oswestry and Shrewsbury.

Lovely site.
I last visited here about 6 years ago when it was c&cc, it’s changed hands a couple of times since then but the new owners who took over in September 2020 have got it running well in spite of the uncertainty around Covid.
Slightly restricted facilities due to distancing measures but everything was open, no need to queue or wait. Not very busy when we were there which suited us. Everyone on site was friendly, a great atmosphere.
Overall it’s as good as any c&cc site I’ve visited, very clean and welcoming.
Cost wise it’s slightly more expensive, but there are no membership fees so it all balances out.
Will definitely be back.

A lovely peaceful and picturesque site with well sited and spaced out pitches. Grass well kept and newly planted shrubs.
Showers a little dated but very clean and well organised for Covid safety - so much so that first showers we have used outside of our van since pandemic started.
We had an excellent meal at the Cross Keys at Kinnerly just 2 miles away.
Easy access from A5 and bus stop at the gate for access to Oswestry and Shrewsbury make this a well situated site.

We received a very warm welcome here.
The site is very clean and set in a lovely spot ideally situated to reach Oswestry, Shrewsbury and surrounding areas.
The facilities were very clean and modern and the pitches were an excellent size which was great for our rather large tent!

Spent one night on this site after picking up our caravan from Wales and returning to caravanning after a three year break, wish we could have stayed longer.
Lovely site, nice welcome from the owners Amanda and Phillip and couldn’t be more helpful.
We will definitely be back :-)
Sorry we can’t comment on facilities as Covid restrictions won’t allow them to be open. There were hand sanitizers at different posts around the site.
Thank you.

We had a phone call 2 days before arrival explaining they had just taken over. If you read negative reviews ignore them.
Not part of the Camping and Caravanning Club anymore but after being neglected by former owners this lovely family are now working like Trojans to spruce everything up.
Grass was cut and facilities clean. Could not praise them more for the wonderful friendly welcome.
Please visit- it’s a great location for Shropshire and Wales, especially Llangollen.

Had a lovely weekend at this site nice friendly people had just taken over the site.
The pitches were a great size and well spaced out in between.
Toilets and facilities where all good and kept very clean.
The only negative was that we thought the price was a bit on the high side for what you got there facilities wise.

The site has recently changed hands. Never experienced anything like it before. Arrived 5. 45pm on Friday for bank holiday weekend to be welcomed by a note at reception "late arrivals-- please find a pitch, see you tomorrow '!
There are no numbers on the pitches so it really was. " find a pitch". No info sheet as to facilities and where they are located. No site rules or departure times. Owners didn't know if we had arrived or not they had no idea where we were or if we were parked on the type of pitch we had paid for. It really was a free for all.
No covid measures in place through out the site. No where for children to play other than an empty pitch if they could find one. Felt so sorry for those arriving in the dark going around and around trying to find an empty pitch.
Very expensive for what you get
