This is a great site! We were very impressed from the moment we arrived we were given such a friendly, helpful welcome. The site is in absolute pristine condition, with ample space between pitches.
The shower and toilet blocks are spotlessly clean; there is plenty of room for washing up and there is a laundry site available too. The information board contains some useful local info.
When we arrived on Friday evening there was a food van on site which was very welcome after our travels and there is a small shop on site where you can order newspapers and get any essential supplies. The campsite prevents vehicles in and out between 11 pm and 7 am which means that you can really enjoy the tranquillity of the site.
There are two dedicated dog walking 'runs' both easily accessible. The site is located just off the A5 and is about a 10 minute drive from Oswestry, it's also about 30 miles from Llangollen - this makes it a pretty country campsite within easy reach of local amenities if required. All in all a site that must be visited for a great break!

This is a pretty little campsite, very nicely kept by the wardens, with good clean facilities. It is perhaps more suited to couples without children as there is no play area and nowhere really that young lads could have a good kick about. Some of the pitches are a good hike to the toilets/washing up sinks, but that seems to be a feature of CCC sites.
The only thing that spoiled this site for us, under canvas was the road noise. We live in a very quiet area and are not used to sleeping with the sound of traffic so it kept us awake! I'm sure it wouldn't bother you if you are used to it, or are in a caravan or motorhome with better soundproofing.

Stayed here for the 2nd 4 nights of a 12 night motorcycle tour.
Easy to find just off A5. The site is a rectangle shape with the entrance, shop and toilet / shower block at one end. Camping on a standard pitch we chose the most picturesque which naturally was at the far end of the site! however the pain of the yomp to the toilets was cancelled out by the view of the woods behind and the fields in front.
Cleanliness of facilities as you would expect from C&CC site. Wash basins in separate cubicles but too poorly lit and too far from mirror on back wall to be good for shaving (wife moaned about the same for putting make-up on). Only one washing machine/drier which was busy during the day - we did ours at 10pm one evening.
Recommended places to visit - Shrewsbury which is easy by bus, the stop is on A5 near site, Much Wenlock and the Wenlock edge, riding the Shropshire hills and Ludlow. Only disappointment was Welshpool where we stopped for lunch one day - Clearly had seen better days.
Only real fault of this site is that it is in the middle of nowhere. The nearest pub is 2 miles away which we thought we would walk to one evening but we soon gave up when we realised we would be coming back along an unlit busy road with no pavements. There is no bus service to / from Oswestry / Shrewsbury after about 7pm so spent every evening on site. On our visit not a problem as we had excellent weather so just brought supplies back with us.
In conclusion, The site was as picturesque as Hereford where we had stopped before but due to its isolation just fell short in our opinion. However it suited our tour of the Welsh boarders and in fine weather has much to recommend it.
As an aside, after dark watch out for the bunnies. The place teems with them!

An Ok site and the facilities are as good as you get for a C&CC site although the shower temperatures are pre-set which might not be to everyone's liking. The site wardens are helpful and friendly and there is a good on site shop in the reception and also wi-fi coverage although the signal is weak at the top end of the site.
Would I use the site again ? Yes for overnight but not any longer as there is not much to see or do in the immediate area unless your prepared to drive 10+ miles to either Oswestry, Shrewsbury or Welshpool

Site staff very helpful and welcoming. Was offered a choice of several pitches from next to the toilets, to one with an excellent view over fields of rape with lovely trees and a field full of bobbing rabbits. We opted for the view and although we thoroughly appreciated the scenery, we found the long trip to the facilities became a little tedious after a while. But then that was our choice!
The toilets, showers were excellent. Plus cubicles to wash in and constant hot water. Also excellent modern washing up facilities. Site traffic well organised with one way system.
Visited Llangollen + aqueduct, Lake Verynwy, Whittingham Castle and an excellent discovery, Colemere, near Ellesmere but less crowded. There is still much to see in the area, so we will be returning at some time.
Site provided lots of visitor information on a board and in the washing up area, including walks from the site itself.

Excellent site with usual top drawer club standards. Highly recommend a day at RAF Cosford- brilliant day and free admission although £3 to park.
TV reception hit and miss on standard caravan top aerial. No issues on satellite. V. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and well organised. Just missing a play area! Although very close to the A5 no issues with noise whatsoever.

Lovely site, really easy to get to, toilets very clean, showers hot and free, all you would expect from a caravan and camping site, we had horrendous rain but the site was well drained.
Quiet and relaxing just what we wanted.
Easy access to a number of tourist activities, went to the waterfalls spectacular view with lovely tea room.
Close to Sainsbury's Oswestry for groceries

This was our first ever visit to a Camping & Caravan site since joining the club, and if they are all as nice as this one then we will be very happy indeed. We received a warm friendly welcome when we arrived on the Friday, and this helpful nature was maintained throughout the duration of our stay.
We were one of only a handful of tents on-site, and our pitch was right down at the far end overlooking a cow field, which meant that we heard very little of the traffic on the A5 that runs nearby. We were able to position our chairs and BBQ facing towards the fields and away from the rest of the site. It was as if we were camping on our own in the middle of nowhere, which was lovely.
The shower block is extremely smart and clean. Only three male showers caused a few delays in the morning rush, but we didn’t have to wait more than a few minutes for one to become available. Likewise the dishwashing facilities are smart and clean. In fact, the whole site is one of the cleanest we have seen; even the rubbish areas were spotless.
I suppose if I was going to pick any faults at all, it would have been nice if the shop had been open before 9 am each morning, and the closure of the shower block for a few hours every day is a little excessive (although probably worth it due to just how clean everything was) - these are only very minor quibbles, and did not detract from the wonderful time we had here.
In short, we had a lovely weekend break here, and certainly plan to return again next year for another (longer) visit.

We have just come back from a three night stay at this campsite and loved it.
The site itself is easy to access straight off the A5, on arrival the reception staff (franchise owners) were friendly and helpful. We were given a choice of pitches and were offered help, if needed. We were given clear information on site facilities where everything was and what was available in the surrounding area.
The access to water points and water disposal was excellent and clean; the bin storage was split into two sections general and recycle again clean and easy to access.
The toilet block / washing area / chemical toilet disposal area were immaculate, the toilets look like they have been recently refurbished and are well looked after. You don't have to pay for showers and there was an abundance of hot water, and we never had to queue. The only negative is that there is no temperature control on the shower and they did get quite hot, although I'm sure that down to personal preference!
The surrounding area has a retail park, supermarket, fuel stations all within 5 minutes. Oswestry itself is also well worth a visit.

Our third visit to this site. Previously with a caravan. Each time a very friendly welcome by Alan and Gail. Showers etc are now excellent and spotlessly clean. A credit to them. Main A5 is very busy but not a problem. In fact very useful for using bus service to Oswestry or Shrewsbury. We used bus to visit the food festival. Annual event. Well worth a visit. Overall a pleasure to stay here. Will return.
