What a little gem. A lovely site with sparkling clean new facilities. Everything we needed with plenty to do.
And unusually for these days a warm friendly welcome.
The bonus is it's all open all year. Christmas and New Year are sorted for this year.
We don't have a bad word to say for this site and highly recommend it.

Just read Bernard's review on his October visit.
We were among the first to camp on this new site which opened early August.
After a warm welcome from Gail and Alan he took us to the Motorhome Service Point. This has to be one of the most easily accessible and user friendly we've come across.
For a new site, it already has a 'homely feel' even down to the laundry facilities being operated via an 'honesty policy'.
Our only bone of contention with Bernard's review is that we personally had no problems sleeping. In fact from what we can remember, fellow campers said they hadn't slept so well in months.
We are planning to revisit. As there's so much to do in the area we ran out of time too soon.

Situated 200 yards on the B4396 (signposted Knockin ) from roundabout on A5, from North ignore first right turn for Knockin, go to roundabout.Very easy site to find, early traffic noise may disturb light sleepers ( weekends OK ).
New site for 2007 on franchise with Camping and Caravanning Club, the owners Allan and Gail Fitzimmons have many years experience with C&CC and it shows.Site is very well run and busy ( almost full every night first week in October).New toilet block is the warmest I`ve been in in 25 years with 3 push button type showers,3 toilets,3 privacy cubicles a latrine and 2 washbasins in the gents. Ladies side similarly equiped ( minus latrine ) according to my wife, 3 washing up sinks and laundry facilities are available as is chemical disposal point. The small shop at reception stocks milk, pop etc, newspapers can be ordered for next day and a Burger type van visited on friday between 5pm and 8pm.Well stocked information room has leaflets for National Trust, country walks and various local tourist attractions.
