We have stayed at this site a number of times in the past 5+ years as it is very convenient for visiting my grandson in Lydney.
We love it's location with open views over the River Severn and the fact that it is a small very friendly family site on a farm with excellent facilities.
Only slight negative is the delayed response sometimes to enquiries as our bookings are often quite last minute.

We loved this campsite! There was inevitably some machinery noise from time to time during the day, but it IS a working farm and to be expected!
We felt sorry for those who had to work in the heat, while we were relaxing in our awning with a cup of tea and a book!
It was a very peaceful place to stay, and we spent long evenings just enjoying the sight of the lights coming on across the water.
There are no facilities for children, hence the 5/10 rating for child friendliness, but this was a bonus for us as we just wanted a quiet holiday.
Three lovely cows greeted us every time we came back to the site, as did Christine and Paul's four dogs.
The toilet facilities were good, and the showers were wonderful, with copious hot water, unrestricted by the need for 20p coins as it was included in the price of the pitch.
We paid just £25 per night for a caravan, awning, two adults, a dog and electric hook up. Very good value indeed.
The Rising Sun provided good value, tasty meals and a warm welcome, as did the Gurkha (Woolaston Inn), which is well worth a visit to enjoy authentic Nepalese traditional cooking.
We will return! Many thanks, Christine.

Arrived at the most beautiful spot on a fully working farm overlooking the river Severn and we were met by Christine who is extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome.
There are 3 lovely cows in the adjoining field who wandered over for head scratches 🐮, hot showers, toilets, washing up area and all waste disposal areas.
It’s a small peaceful site with beautiful scenery and just perfect for winding down after a long walk.
About half a mile to the well stocked general store and a little walk further brings you to the Rising Sun pub in a lovely location serving fresh home cooked food and a decent selection of drinks, also has an outdoor milkshake and ice cream shack 😋
We will Definitely be returning to Plusterwine on our next trip south and recommend anyone else who enjoys peace, quiet and stunning scenery tries this site 💯
