I stayed here last week, the middle of July 2016 as I am working in the the area and needed some where to stay at night.
I loved it, the views over and along the Severn estuary are brilliant, you cant get to it easily from this campsite but from the near by lanes.
The access is good so is the site the hard standing is a great idea so is the toilet block. Its a cabin with combined showers and toilets, all uni sex, so through the cabin do you have showers to the right and loos to the left and all were as clean as expected. The showers are real ones where you can set the temp to as hot as you like and the plenty of changing room in there too. The toilets were clean and fresh and sinks clean and shiny, if you cant see the loos walk towards the wooden fenced corridor and its down there!
I liked the way the campsite is laid out as its clean and flat and very open, great for views, but a bit breezy at times for me that's a good thing not a bad one.
There was only one downside for me and that was the cost, yes you got free water and free electrics and free hard standing and stunning views, but £20 is the higher side of the sites in this area and for a guy that turns up at 9pm and leaves at 5am that's a lot of money for a shower and a nap, if I had the wife and kids its better value
It scores highly for the location on the estuary and facilities and customer service as the owner was brilliant to deal with, it drops points for the value and especially the kids as its at a farm and and they have used the one boundary to store farm materials and machinery. So a parent would have to be super eagle eyed when there with little fingers

Lovely campsite with walking along the Severn estuary. Fabulous views of the river, especially at night. Good, clean facilities and the owners are very helpful. Will definitely be back. If you go without a car, be sure to plan bus journeys to Lydney or Chepstow. There's a really good Ghurka restaurant that also serves Indian food and takeaway along the road, but you can just have a drink if you prefer

Found this site by accident, and glad we did. One of the better sites to stay at, very friendly owners, Christine and Paul, nothing is to much trouble, outstanding views over the seven estuary. Very flat site with clean toilets and showers. Lovely pub 10min walk away with superb food. [Book early for Saturday night]

Superb site. One of the best we have stayed on. The site has lovely views over the River Severn.
Nice restaurants nearby. We ate in the Blacksmiths Arms in nearby Alvington. Very good home cooked food. Supermarkets in Lydney or Chepstow.
The lady site owner who is the farmers wife is delightful and the toilets Nd showers are some of the best we've have used. Absolutely spotless. There is a separate washing up room fitted with a fridge for freezing Ice packs which is very useful.
Electric hook ups are available and the site is pet friendly but please pick up after your dog. Picnic tables are also provided. My little grandson who was staying in a tent with his dad thought it was wondeful.

The owners are lovely helpful people and the site is overlooking the estuary which is nice. However. We were only staying one night which we were glad about as we were kept awake all night by barking dogs. There is a kennels not far away and the barking from there seemed to set the farm dog off too which was truly awful. I love dogs but this was a really bad experience and other campers were also moaning to me in the shower block. Such a shame. Also ( really don't want to gripe) but the shower/toilet block still had not been cleaned when we left at lunchtime the next day, needless to say they were grubby and no paper towels.
The local pub/restaurant was superb and the campsite had easy access to the road networks. Tescos not too far away for supplies.

We've just had a great long weekend here, all the other comments about the friendliness of the owners is spot on.
For a smallish site the toilet/shower facilities are probably the best we've found and are well maintained at all times.
There is a really good pub within a few minutes walk which is also a Gurkha restaurant, I can only say that the food is fantastic, give it a go.
Downside - There are a couple of pub/restaurants in the vicinity which are dreadful but that's not the fault of the campsite, speak to the owners they will put you right (I wish we had).
Other slight niggle, I don't know if there is a dog kennels nearby but you could hear the dogs on a couple of nights.
Would we go back - Most definitely

Stayed here for one night on a hard standing. Site small, very level and quiet, although on a working farm. No noise from the local railway line.
Views across the Severn estuary.
Small, well kept toilet block with larger than average shower cubicles. Friendly but unobtrusive owners.
No children's play area, but there were several well behaved children enjoying their own company and the great outdoors whilst we were there.
Easy access from main road.
Convenient for Chepstow and Forest of Dean.

Found this site after reading reviews on this website and were not disappointed. Wonderful farm camping site with views over the Severn Estuary. Owners are very friendly and helpful with a daily visit to the site to chat. Facilities are housed in a portable building with 3 large showers and toilets shared by all. Clean and well stocked with plenty of hot water! Wash-up room is attached and has complimentary freezer facility.
It's a working farm site so no frills but plenty going on and quiet once the work is done.
Highly recommended. We will be returning.

Just returned from a lovely 3 days at Plusterwine.
Very friendly and helpful owner who has her approach to guests just right. The site is quite small, the pitches are level and the grass had been mown - its all very well kept. The toilet and shower facilities were excellent - modern, unisex, spotlessly clean - 3 loos and 3 showers. We never had to wait to use the facilities. The site is handy for the Forest of Dean, Lydney and for the main road to Gloucester and Chepstow. Great views over the River Severn - we had a very peaceful and relaxed time there. The site is child friendly but there isn't a great deal to do for children e. G. Play area - this isn't s criticism as the site does not advertise itself as such! Thankyou for a great stay.
