This was our second visit in 2 years. This year, we chose a pitch to the left of the driveway into the site as it was closer to the play area/toilet block. The toilet block is clean and well designed. There is a view of the sea in the distance from most of the campsite. The only downside is that the pitches are sloping, but it's not a great problem. The owners are very friendly. The big draw for our children last year was collecting eggs from the chickens (This year they weren't laying many but the children still enjoyed looking). The reception at the farmhouse sells eggs, milk ice creams and cakes. It looks onto a duck pond and is idyllic. The kids enjoyed fishing in the fishing ponds, although we didn't catch anything. My wife's parents stayed at one of the cottages whilst we camped and the cottage was clean and comfortable and had access to a swimming pool.

There are loads of things to do in the area and it is ideal for small children. The Blue Pool is worth a visit and is within walking distance. It is possible to walk from the campsite to Corfe Castle (via the Norden Farm campsite) along footpaths, as long as it has not rained too much or it gets too boggy. Swanage is a 20 minute drive. The National Trust beaches at Studland are beautiful and clean. The rock ledges at Kimmeridge are very interesting. This year, we went on a boat to Brownsea Island, which was worth a visit.

We will be visiting again.

We passed the front of this site while out walking last year and thought the farmhouse area looked lovely so decided to pay a visit to the caravan site. We also looked on their website etc however, the lovely farmhouse entrance pictures on the website do not reflect the actual caravan site. We were due to stay 3 nights but left a day early as we were disappointed.

Negatives:

There is a different entrance for the caravan site where you access the huge site and at no point see the lovely farmhouse etc.

There is a long drive which runs between two sides of fields so if you happen to be in one of the caravans backing onto the drive there is a lot of vehicular noise.

The site comprises of rows of uniform caravans on open fields (no trees/landscaping etc.) and seemed to have little character.

We were situated at the start of a row so every car drove passed us to exit the site and then again behind us to leave down the drive.

The shower facilities seemed to require a token to operate but they weren't very inviting so we used our own.

Pitches are very close together, so if you have a caravan/awning/car, then next door is very close.

There was a blocked toilet in the ladies which meant it was very smelly. To be fair, I did not report it as we were intending to leave so could have been rectified but did not check.

£14. 50 per night seemed expensive for the facilities especially as you had to pay for showers.

Positives:

Good location-walking distance to Blue Pool and lots of walks.

Lovely views (if looking out of the site). Open countryside.

Apart from the cars, the site was quiet and there was no noise (the site was not full so can only comment on what it was like in April and not July!).

It is good for children. The open fields are ideal for playing safely and there is a good play area.

Booking was easy and email response was very quick and friendly. No deposit was required.

In summary, if you want a site that is good for children to play in safely it is ideal but if you want something with a bit of character that looks nice it is not for you.

Spent 7 nights at this lovely campsite.

Campsite is in a very peaceful area - great scenery, we were offered a pitch which was either near the toilets or with a view we chose the view - fab view of Poole.

Pitches with a view are fairly level where as the ones near the toilets are quite sloping.

There are 3 fishing lakes which are free to use for campers, very good fishing my husband caught lots every time he went - fairly small fish but still enjoyable sessions.

Very pleasant owners and facilities kept spotlessly clean, only down side is the 50p charge for showers which although the showers are excellent they don't last long!

Great walks from the site - Corfe Castle, Blue Pool plus surrounding countryside to explore.

Places worth a visit are Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Studland Bay and Tyneham village - only open on weekends - is worth a visit too.

All in all an excellent site - very good value.

Would definitely use this site again.

Just spent a great two nights at this wonderful site. I am quite new to camping, so this review is based on stays at two other campsites.

We arrived on Bank Holiday Monday, but still during Summer holidays, so expect the site was quite busy, but didn't appear full. The site had a good toilet and shower facilities. I camped with my two boys (aged 3 & 5) and the family shower room was a great help in the morning.

Access to the site is pretty easy and set in quiet countryside. Our pitch was half flat and half on a slight slope, and some pitches did seem worse than others. This didn't really affect our stay, but would have personally preferred a flat pitch (makes eating together easier - our sleeping pods were on the flat part however). We were given the option of pitches, as we chose this one as it was closer to the toilet block. Other pitches were available with better views apparently, although the view from our pitch was nice enough (you could see part of Poole harbour).

There is a good children's play area which is close to the washing up (and toilet/shower) block. This is handy for keeping an eye on the kids while washing up.

We had an electric hook up pitch, and the point was very close to the tent, which meant no problem for my 13m cable.

We spent the two days in Swanage which is about 8 miles away and had a great time on the beach. Although we drove, you could catch the steam train from Norden, which is quite nice and saves trying to find a parking space in Swanage! Although we weren't here for very long, I have spent many weeks in this part of the country on holiday, and this site is very well situated for the area.

Although we didn't use it, a meat van turned up on Tuesday evening, so you could buy bacon, meat for BBQ etc.

The site offers a freezer pack facility (20p per pack). Showers are 50p for 6 minutes. Didn't have much need to speak to the staff, but when I did found them very friendly.

The only reason I haven't given this site a ten, is because I have stayed at a site which had a pool for the kids! However that was more expensive, so not really comparable. Would definitely recommend and will come back to this site!

This is the second year running we have come to this site, and what a peaceful site. If you want a nice friendly, peaceful holiday that is central to the area, this is the site for you.

Although it has rained heavy for months before we stayed, we had no problems accessing the site, no struggling to get into the field and no roads of mud.

The showers are nice clean and hot all the time, there is a meat man selling BBQ meat 2 days a week and the shop you can get the basics, bread milk and eggs. (there might be other stuff but that’s all we brought).

A short distance towards Wareham there is a small shop that sells plenty of wine and beer, oh and other bits and pieces. In Wareham there are lots of chippies and places to eat, along with a Sainsbury’s.

There is lots of places to visit, Corfe Castle, Lulworth Castle, Blue Pool, Swanage, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and the beautiful Studland Beaches to name a few places.

Would we stay again? Urm going there next year

We have been to this site loads of times ideal for visiting Corfe castle, Swanage blue pool is just down the road from the site.

Nice laid out site clean run by a family who are lovely. Purbecks around you, beautiful views, great showers, play park for the children.

Barbecue van that comes once a week depending on weather, fish chip van once a week.

Wareham Town is only 15 minutes by car for all your needs

They do sell eggs and bread on site as its a farm

Also big fishing lakes for carp tench fishing which is all free with the site price. Excellent

Had a visit here for 4 days last week, the site is in a great place for swanage, wareham corfe castle etc, and the views are great around the site,

the play park is great for the kids, but the only set back is that its right next to the toilet blocks and you get kids on bikes riding round as your trying to wash up or access the toilets etc.

The site is very clean and well looked after, Our biggest 'moan' is why do other campers feel it is necessary to drive to the toilet blocks at all hours? We were on pitch 17 on the bend down the bottom people were driving past at stupid times, This really needs to be addressed. Please owner apply this rule as this is the only thing that would stop us coming back. And fellow campers allowing their children to be screaming outside there tents at 7 am in the morning, we have 2 children so I would like to point out that I am not a grumpy camper. (honest)

Absolutely fantastic this campsite is a dream beautiful views and in a great area with plenty to do and see. It is a family camp-site so do expect children and dogs, Toilets are very clean and showers better than some hotels. The owners lovely and friendly and extremely helpful, the campsite is clean and well kept, rules kept to a minimum and adhered to well by campers. There is lots to do on the site too with a good play area, great fishing (even a beginner can fish here!) 17 fish caught in the first hour! animals to see, eggs to collect and ducks to feed my 2yr and 5yr olds loved it!

Returned to the site with my partner and 2 sons for first time in almost 2 years. Although the site has grown over the last few years (shame as wanted to keep it as our little secret)it still has a tranquil charm.

The owners remembered me from many previous visits and were as welcoming as ever.

Still offered the freedom of finding where you want to put your tent if you don't need electric, so as always we picked a quiet spot at the top of the site- although it is a way from the toilet/shower block and playground there are ample pathways to find it with ease using a torch at night.

The sky at night and the views are unbeatable, as is the surrounding area. The kids love the farm's animals and the excellent fishing lakes. The freedom of the woodland play area also suits older children.

Showers were always hot and very powerful, all areas were clean and well kept. Farmhouse freezes ice packs and sells basics such as bread, milk and ice creams

Can't wait to return!

Second time at this site and stayed over the jubilee holiday. Really impressed again. Kids had a ball, and despite some rain it never dampened our spirits.

What really makes this site is the family who run it. They are helpful, friendly, informative and hard working! We had a few problems with noisy kids one evening and I left an answer phone message at the farm and it was dealt with straight away.

I heartily would recommend this site to families. The local area has so much to entertain the kids.

We visited Blue Pool around the corner, and had a lovely time doing the squirrel/owl hunt.
