We visited over August bank holiday and had a great week.
When you arrive you feel as if it is in the middle of nowhere but you then realised what a good position the site was in, close to Corfe and Swanage and near to Poole as well.
We were given a pitch in the field just below the toilet/shower block which was great, we would not recommend the small field above the blocks, as it is small and on a bit of a slope and on the bank holiday really crammed with units.
We found that the showers were okay, a bit on the small side but we paid a deposit and had a key for the family shower room which was a lot easier, although it was new at the time and the floor had not been tiled but I'm sure it will have been done for next season.
The children loved it (7,4,4) especially the play area in the woods, their favourite was going to the farmhouse to get milk every morning and of course buying the penny sweets? The owners always made a fuss of them and are really nice people.
We would certainly recommend this site to anyone, especially if you have children.

We picked East Creech for our 1st longer distance trip with the tourer & we couldn't have chosen a better place!
The site itself is in an excellent location with views over Poole harbour. There is plenty on site for the kids to do & they have made friends that they are still keeping in touch with.
The facilities are more than adequate & there are plenty of local amenities only a short drive away.
I guess the main bonus is it's location with places like Corfe Castle & Swanage on your doorstep & dramatic coastal scenery just a short drive over the downs. There was loads for the kids to do & see & we all had a thoroughly enjoyable time. So much so that we are going back in October for a few days in the school half term & would happily return again next year. Highly recommended!

Stayed here for a week. Lovely site with great carp lakes. The children loved it! Friendly owners. Only fault would be the toilets/shower block. Never seemed clean, but not helped by the concrete floor. Its in desperate need of tiles! The cubicles are far too small and nowhere dry to get dressed. Used both family rooms which are much better. The shower on the left lasts longer than the other one. I could shower and do 2 children and all our hair on one token! lovely area and beaches. Studland beach nice but £8 to park. Would return but would like to see shower block improvements.

We have just come back from a fantastic fortnight staying at this beautiful camp site. After finding the farm house to check-in (which is a bit of a trek at first) we found our pitch by the hedge to be one of the best on the site as we had a great view of an area of the Purbecks and we could see Poole Harbour in the distance. For the first couple of days we couldn't stop saying how lucky we were to have found such a great site, at such an affordable price (only £16 per night with EHU) as we had only booked the week before! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, pointing us in the direction of the best walks in the area (of which there are many). The children loved the play area in front of the toilet/shower block and they soon discovered that there was another play area in the woods. The toilets and showers were clean and the water in the showers always hot. There is a charge of 40p per shower (token operated) which is just enough to have a good wash and shampoo. We were fortunate enough to be able to use one of the large family rooms (for families with children under the age of 8) and I managed to wash and shampoo all 3 children and myself for just 1 token - bargain! The pitch itself was quite generous in size but was however slightly sloping but the owners do have an area with wooden blocks you can use to get your caravan level.
As for days out we went to Monkey World - a great day out and very reasonably priced. Swanage - a pretty seaside town, but did get very busy. Wareham - a very nice town with everything you need, great for fish n' chips, Somerfield and Co-Op, even has a small cinema. The New Forest is only a 40 minute drive and as we love it there so much we went there 3 times. Also Moors Valley Country Park on the outside edge of the New Forest, this was a great day out and you only pay for the car park which is about £8.00 all day. To sum up, if you want to explore Dorset then this site would be the perfect place to set up camp and if we were to return to the area, then there would be no hesitation in choosing which site to stay at - it would most definitely be East Creech.

Basic but lovely. Stayed for 5 nights at the beginning of August and had a fantastic time, relaxed and friendly. Kids were happy playing in the park and woods. Even got to feed the ducks. Shop sells penny sweets which kids loved going up to buy. Wasn't packed with campers or at least never came across as if it was, we got to choose where we wanted to pitch (which we prefer) Never had to wait for a shower they look basic but were always clean and were hot, 40p token gives you plenty of time to wash yourself, always found that I was turning it off before time had run out as I was getting bored! (Tip for the lady's - use the showers in the bigger block as they do seem to last longer!) Ideally placed to visit swanage, studland etc. What more can I say, enjoyed every minute, tried to book up again for bank hol but missed the boat, definately visit again next year.

We have just returned from a thoroughly relaxing holiday (12 days) at this lovely site and have already booked again for next year.
We travelled with a trailer tent, pup tent and gazebo and also had an electric hook-up for the total cost of £18 per night. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The site is well kept with adequate, very clean showers and toilets. More shower facilities will be completed during the Winter. The showers operate on a 40p purchased token system. There were hair dryers for 50p.
The site has two great childrens' play areas, free range hens(the children can collect the eggs in the mornings), three well stocked fishing ponds, open land for play, a hidden woodland area and four main camping areas with a number of electrical hook ups. Bread, milk, eggs and penny sweets are available from the small shop area of the farm house.
Our three children had a wonderful time on site and our younger two particularly enjoyed the tame goats and hen compound. The picturesque ponds together with the far reaching views made this a relaxing break. The take-away food van which visited 5 evenings each week was also highly recommended and made a nice change from our cremated barbeque sausages and camping food! All in all we would say that in 20 years of camping this was the best site we have visited.

Went 1st week of school holidays with very mixed weather.
Our first experience of camping (with EHU) and we could not have picked a better site. Many thanks to the previous reviews.
Good clean site - very helpful owners, playground and fishing perfect for our kids 12,10 & 7.
Showers now cost 40p a go for 5 minutes, the only criticism is that there wasn't enough space in the cubicles, Gents ones you needed to leave your clothes outside so always left valuables with wife.
Plenty to do round and about, catch the 150 to Bournemouth from Swanage. Monkey world ok but only half a day in all our opinions and therefore overpriced.
Will be back.

Finally joined up so can add a review about this place. A fantastic base for a dream summer holiday. The playground was smashing, the people helpful, and the facilities clean and plentiful. The family shower room - for which you need a special key - was especially good with small children.

We stayed for 2 nights at East Creech Farm in June 2007, the second of four campsite in Dorset during our week's holiday. The owners of the campsite are lovely, a real family run business. The campsite is in a stunning location and was not crowded as it was June. There are plenty of walks with fantastic views of Poole harbour and Bournemouth. My only advice to the owners if they are reading this, would be to turn the temperature up on the water for shower, they were not hot enough so not a great experience. I also thought they could sell some more local produce in the shop. The farm eggs were great though! Also the general area around Wareham the MOD have an area of land they choose to practise bombing and use as a riffle range so is probably not the best place to bring a dog. we found this a bit startling when we first arrived at the campsite but you kind of get used to it after a while and didn't seem to bother any of the other campers there. And you would get this noise at any other campsites in that area anyway. I would probably stay at East Creech again as the location and owners were great!

We have just returned from our third visit to this lovely picturesque site. The views from the camping fields are fantastic. The toilet blocks and showers have been greatly improved since our last visit. We found the family room a lot easier when showering the children. The token system for the showers is not exactly ideal but we enjoy the site so much it's not a problem. The children's play area has also been up-dated since our last visit and the children spent lots of happy times there. Kimmeridge Bay was beautiful. A great day out. Swanage gets busy on hot days but it is well worth the wait for a "typical" seaside experience. Wareham is a pretty little town with a shop that sells a few basic bits of camping equipment. We have booked to return to the site for May bank holiday for one week and August bank holiday. Fantastic site!
