This was our first stay at East Creech though we had visited friends staying there before, for the day, which is how we first found out about the site.

We found a fairly flat pitch in the middle field, which was great. All the pitches are unmarked (hooray!) and you can choose where to go. The kids (12 & 9) loved the freedom the site offers and the goats and hens as mentioned by others. We did not find any fishing ponds, will have to look harder next time. My friend who went a week later said her boys loved the fishing.

The toilets and showers are fine, functional & nothing flash and I mirror other comments that it is difficult to get dressed and undressed in such a tight area but one manages! We did not use the washing up facilities as it was quite a walk from our tent with a bowl full of dirty dishes so we tended to wash up in our tent. That might influence where you pitched, the walk to the toilet/wash up block!

The owners are lovely people and cannot do enough for you. Its so refreshing to stay somewhere that welcomes you so well and does not make a fuss about the size of your tent- as ours is on the large size (Vango Diablo 900)They also let us 'pay as you go'as the weather was not that great.

We love Studland Bay, (NT beach - a must do) and Swanage is also nice, as is Corfe castle. We also visited the Tank museum and Monkey world. We shopped in the Tesco Extra in Poole (Waterloo Road) for main supplies and then shopped locally for perishables.

A great farm camp site with areas for those requiring hook ups as well as 2 open fields for those who don't.

A well maintained toilet and shower block, no frills but ticks all the boxes with lots of family rooms as well as normal facilities.

The mens facilities are in 2 parts so keep looking if you find the one with only 2 showers and loos and one sink. There are more ! Shower token cost 40p for a 6 minute shower which we found more than enough, hairdryer runs off 50p's. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer (£2).

We went in late September end of season and no stress on the facilities at all it was very quiet and relaxed with marvellous weather.

There's a playground by the loos for the children.

The site is run from the farmhouse, no shop, eggs bread and ice creams and that's about it. The owners will look after your freezer blocks with no charge or fuss.

The surrounding area is well documented already so I don't think any need to dwell on that, we went for Dancing Ledge and Durdle Door.

I am very positive about this site having experienced good weather and low occupancy , hassle and stress free camping in a nice open location. I didn't feel organised or marshalled by the owners and there's not to much signage around giving orders on how to use things. Its a campsite not a holiday site.

The views from the open fields are fantastic. Go there when its quiet and you really feel you have got away from it all.

Had a fantastic week's stay here over August Bank Holiday. It's the perfect location for touring the local area, the only trouble was that there wasn't enough time to see everything! Monkey World is a must do!

The campsite is kept very neat and tidy, toilet blocks are kept clean (we arrived when the site was about full, and the toilets and showers were cleaned regularly - even after the rain!)

We have 3 children, 12, 14 and 17 and they all enjoyed the playground in the woods. There is a smaller play area for younger children near the shower blocks, so they're never too far away. The children can also help collect eggs from the hens, or get up close and personal with the goats. There's also a well stocked fishing pond with, we were told, pleny of carp.

The site is situated in a perfect location - from our pitch, on one side we could see the sea, and on the other, the Purbeck Hills.

The owners are lovely people, only too happy to help (even when you've been driving for over 8 hours to get there, and arrived rather late after a traffic jam). They even showed us to our pitch.

There are a couple of small supermarkets in Wareham, but we mainly used Tesco in Dorchester. Safeway in Wareham has a pay and display car park and unfortunately, if you want some milk or bread, you've got to pay the parking charge. Dorchester is only about 12 miles away, and is well worth the drive.

If you get chance, try the Purbeck ice-cream (serious chocolate is wicked!)

All in all, a great site made for an ever better holiday.

Many thanks to the site owners.

Have to agree with the previous review, it is an accurate account, would just like to mention that you can pitch where you like but its unlikely that you will find totally flat ground, most places were on a slight slope.

There are also 2 family washrooms/toilet facilities (key required for £10 returnable deposit)for families with children under 8.

We found that 1 x 40p shower token was sufficient for all four of us to have a quick hair wash & shower, if just a quick freshen up was required.

Will return, but probably in a caravan, fancy a few more comforts like a nice bed to sleep on

Visited this site for the first time this year and have booked a return visit for next year. We brought a brand new Gelert Tahama 9 this year and it is a big tent and we found our pitch more than ample size to accommodate it.

Weather could have been better. We stayed for 2 weeks and had our fair share of rain in the nights which made us boggy underfoot but the people who run the site helped us out with some board to put under our groundsheet. They would help out in any way and were lovely people.

My husband loved the fishing pools and my daughters loved the play area in the woods and I loved the peace & quiet.

Great area. Loads to do. Farmer Palmers is fab. Shops for supplies in nearby Wareham.

CANT WAIT TO RETURN NEXT YEAR!

Our second trip here this year, and hoping to return next week. Only live 15 miles away but no matter how far we travelled would never find a more perfect campsite for our needs!

Owners and staff welcoming and helpful, farm is beautiful, and what child could resist the chance to collect the eggs in the mornings?! Facilities perfect and plenty of space to keep my energetic boys amused. Purbecks are the gem of Dorset, and the easy access to beautiful unspoilt coast is the icing on the cake.

Shame was busier this time though, was hoping our secret haven campsite would stay secret. But is still SPECTACULAR and wonderful value for money.

Thanks for making our fifth trip to you as special as the first!

We (my wife & I and our 3 sons 14,11 & 6) visited this terrific site in Mid August 2008 for a week.

The welcome was very warm which is more than can be said of some of the weather! The family that run the site are very friendly and helpful.

The site is next to the farm which has a lovely duck pond, free range chickens (although they tend to shelter from the children in their hut), goats, horse and cows. All of which the children can get up close to.

The toilet and washing up block was always clean and the facilities were adequate. The showers (4 male and 4 female) work on tokens which are purchased from the farm for 40p and last for approx 5 mins per token. Milk and bread and popular penny sweets and ice creams can also be purchased from the farm.

The facilities available are; a small playground which was very popular, woods, a couple of fishing lakes and a small football pitch (hidden in the woods).

The site seems to be split into 3 principal areas; the area by the playground and washrooms and the lower field was mostly for caravans although there were some tents also (including ours) whereas the upper fields had more space and had mostly tents.

The site sits on an area of chalk and it therefore drains very well so despite some torrential rain there was hardly any mud.

The site sits just below the Purbeck Hills and you can walk across the road from the site and onto a nature reserve which covers the hills. Walking up onto the hills (quite a steep rough track) to Corfe Castle (approximately 2 miles) we saw Buzzards an Owl, Deer and the usual farm animals.

There is plenty to do in the area, Swanage was very nice (our youngest watched a Punch and Judy show on the beach), there is a interesting beach at Kimmeridge which has a wildlife trust hut and seems very suitable for snorkelling (although the weather wasn’t suitable when we visited and, what’s more, middle son found a Portuguese Man of War washed up on the beach), Corfe was good fun, it has some lovely pubs and a cracking bakers which sold lovely hot pasties as well as the castle, the beaches at Studland are simply outstanding.

Wareham is the nearest town with a supermarket (Somerfield & Co-Op), it also has a cracking butchers towards the top of the High Street and a number of takeaway food outlets if you don’t fancy cooking. It also has a cinema (the Rex) if the weather is really terrible.

We will be returning.

Great site with truly wonderful views out to Poole Harbour and beyond! Plenty to do around the site, especially for the children, and very easy access to all visitor sites on the Isle of Purbeck. The facilities are no where near as bad as have been made out previously, especially if you get access to the family bathrooms within the modern shower block and washing facilities. The very best aspect of this site though, is the family that run it, who are really friendly and very helpful. I was in two minds as to whether to write this review, as from a purely selfish view point, the site is a little gem compared with others in the area.

I lent my caravan to some friends who stayed at East Creech Farm for a week. The weather wasn't the best (blumin' UK!) but they enjoyed the site very much. The playgrounds, woods and animals were great. The kids loved collecting the eggs.

I must add a personal note to say lots of thanks to owners as I had to delay collecting my caravan for a couple of days - it was no problem and help me out a lot.

We stayed for a week with a large group of family in various units. Lovely situation but unfortunately the units are too close together certainly closer than 6 metres. We were close to the loo block and kept getting a smell of sewage and when the chip van came and the smell of that as well didn't help. There wasn't any room by the caravan for the children to play and our son nearly got knocked down as visability wasn't great.
The better pitches were over in the tent field which would of been better as there was more space. The other downside are the showers as they were too small and nowhere to put clothes or towels. The family room was good but the floor was just concrete and again our son fell over banging his head.
The upside, lovely situation, great pub in Church Knowle and close to Swanage and Corfe.
