Decent site with friendly staff.
The site for tents is on a bit of a slope so make sure that you can find a flat pitch, seeing as there were quite a few tents when we arrived we did not have the pick of the good spots. We pitched next to the farmers barn that was in the next feild. That makes quite a noise when it is windy and the cows inside are rubbing against it. This was the flatest spot we could find as we did not want electrical hook up.
Everything that you need can be found around the small village of Tintagel, which is all within walking distance. There are toilets at the top and bottom of the site, with the showers only being in the top block near the shop.
Showers = 20p for 5 mins, but if you didn't know how to use them there is only instructions on one of the showers in the mens block.
Free wifi for all campers if it will reach where you are camped.
We had a great time looking around King Arthurs castle & Merlins cave. Can recommend King Arthurs Cafe for a good breakfast, and King Athurs Arms for evening meals.

Helpful staff on arrival.
The site is very close to the village, beach and castle (steep, long hill to the castle, but you can get a lift for a small charge)
Lots of quaint, village pubs, ice cream/sweet shops and a general store all within walking distance of 5 minutes. There's a cashpoint in the general store too.
Site was a tidy, large field, plenty of space for everybody to say it was peak season.
The bathroom facilities were clean and functional, the showers are 20p for 5 minutes.

Our first camping trip in the tent we usually use our tourer.
Nice site with toilets/sinks at the bottom of field with a washing up area too. Plenty of space on the pitch we had. There is plenty of hot water in the showers, with use of a freezer for ice blocks, iron/board and washing machine. There is a hut with lots of leaflets and information.
Unfortunately we were unable to get the wifi but used the local pubs to log on. The phone reception is not good either. The price is reasonable.
All shops/pubs etc are within walking distance and it is a great base for the area.

Pretty good site, would return!
Charged £10 pn for single tent car no EHU. Free showers so good value.
A slopping site but flat at the bottom and well sheltered from off shore winds. There is a toilet at the bottom which cuts out a lot of walking.
Showers (at top of site) were good with plenty of hot water. Had a washing machine etc but didn't use it. No freezer for ice blocks but I don't expect this as standard so no problem.
5 minutes walk to the village of Tintagel with loads of places to eat and drink. 1 of the pubs was being refurbished but the King Arthur was friendly with decent pub grub, good ales and TV showing sport events.
Walk to Tintagel Castle is downhill and 10 minutes away and there is a landrover taxi to bring you back up the hill if you need it. But I recommend the coast path to Boscastle and then get the bus back.

What more needs saying?
Oh yes, we stayed with a touring caravan, when arriving on a mid Sunday afternoon, we were greeted by the owner and showed to our generous, gently sloping electric hook up pitch. Everything was close to hand, electric 30ft, water & waste 50ft and toilet / shower block 100ft. As I said, perfect.
We had 6 wonderful nights and days, in this peaceful, very convenient site. Tintagel is a marvel and so is Headland.

Quite simply Location, Location, Location! Looks a little 1970's ish but don't be put off, this really is a super site.
The owner was lovely and welcoming and walked my van and I down to the pitch. Around the edges of the site are a number of statics but the pitches for camping/touring are at the lower end of the sloped field, surrounded by gorgeous countryside.
There is a toilet/shower block at the top of the site. Shower's are 20p which is reasonable. The toilet block on the lower end looks very basic from outside but inside is immaculately clean with several sinks and plenty of hot water/paper towels etc.
Pitches are generous but open - no planting to separate out. Sound does carry of an evening but apart from one group who played music until 10 pm (not unreasonably late) everyone else was quiet. Make sure you take a torch as the site itself is not brightly lit at night.
There is a resident cat and a chicken, both of whom like to make friends with campers.
Would definitely use this site again if in the area - no intrusive owners just peace and quiet with gorgeous countryside views.
A 10 minute easy stroll takes you into Tintagel where there is a good choice of cafes / pubs/shops selling everything you need and several items you don't.

Headland caravan park Tintagel Cornwall.
Perfect for want of a better word. Really lovely caravan park which also caters for camping and motor homes. Quitet site. Next to farm fields. Good bathroom facilities and in an excellent position just 5 minutes walk away from Tintagel and 3 minutes walk away from the start of glorious coastal walks and beaches (covered at high tide). This is the first time ever that we have been to Cornwall and not had to pay any parking charges. This site is so close to a wide range of amenities that you don't have to drive anywhere. Eden project an hours drive away but we spent the whole week in Tintagel. Plenty of resturants and pubs and also King Authers Castle, shops with two supermarkets and some very yummy proper cornish pasties and scones fresh baked everyday. Very highly recommended. A little piece of heaven.

Have used this site a number of times over the years and it never fails to deliver on all counts. On this occasion, walked off the SWCP from Port Isaac and although we hadn't pre-booked we were accommodated without question by the very friendly owners. Great facilities with spotless WC's and showers and well kept pitches on mostly level ground for tents. Great little shop for basics but so close to Tintagel it doesn't really matter.

Brilliant location!
This site has everything you need for camping, either tent or motorhome. There are large pitches for electric hook ups and unmarked areas for tents. The facilities (toilets and showers) are basic but incredibly clean, always plenty of hot water, hand soap and paper towels or electric dryers, more bins and drinking water taps than I've ever seen on a site, we didn't use our water carrier as the taps were so close. Washing up facilities are limited but always plenty of hot water. The laundry was well equipped, purchase a token from reception for the washing machine. There is a small shop in reception for basics and the owner was very accommodating as we didn't book. We had to move pitches a couple of times unfortunately but no problem if you are a tidy camper (this was only because we decided to say longer than originally planned). There is a small play area cleverly placed in the middle of the camping field so parents can easily keep an eye on them.
The only downside is paying 20p for showers but you do get a good 5 or more minutes of hot water. There are also meters for hairdryers and sockets.
Tintagel is only a ten minute Walk from the site, with mini supermarkets, bakeries, pubs, cafes and souvenir shops, the castle is also in walking distance, so pitch up and forget the car.
If you want a beach there are two nearby, just watch out for tide times though as the one south of tintagel is only accessible at low tide,
Brilliant location, I should imagine it would be very busy during school holidays though, loads of European visitors as this is a very popular location. We managed to slip in a break here just before the rush and will be back for sure to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall further.

As other reviewers say loos at opposite end of site to another block that has loos and showers. Which cost 20p. Which keeps people washed and out of showers in time!
Campsite has small shop, tintagel has own spa, londis not cheap though, wadebridge tesco and lidl.
Site on slight slope. Location just fab close to coastal walks and fab views. Surrounded by farmland and a young naughty sheepdog called meg who just won't do what owner wants! Te he.
3/4 pubs, deli, pasty shop. Shopping for trinkets and tintagel castle all close by. Short 5 min walk from site.
Located 10 mins from trebarith strand - cream tea at the cafe on right before lifeguard building a must. High tide when we were there - but gorgeous sunny area. Car parks short walk from area itself.
10 miles really from a39 so a tad of a distance to travel before you get anywhere.
But well worth it
