Nice relatively flat campsite on the edge of Tintagel village. Extremely close to all local amenities such as shops, pubs, restaurants and the local pasty shop where you can watch them cram in the fillings. Campsite facilities were good even though showers were 20p extra but they had good heat and pressure. Buses run from outside the visitors centre in either direction along the coast. We took the bus 5 minutes down the road to picturesque Boscastle and then walked back to Tintagel along the coastal path through the intriguing Rocky Valley. There is a beach nearby but it's situated to the right out of the campsite along the coastal path. It's called Bossiney Haven and is very secluded with caves etc. Great for the kids, sunbathing and swimming. Can't comment on the wind as the weather was excellent but what do you expect by the coast????!

Very lovely campsite close to town. Yes the site was windy but worth it. Showers were very good as to were the washing facilities. The shop was very useful open late and early enough for breakfast. Staff were very helpful and kind.
Make sure you take the walk towards the camelot hotel and veer off down the field with the ponies and cows to awesome cliff top views. Prob a 15min walk.
Camping for two people with a small tent was very reasonable.

What can I say a lovely site within walking distance to pubs, shops, restaurants and the local pastie shop which we visited most days. Toilets clean and showers were fine which you had to pay 20p for but you got plenty of time in them.
Follow the coastal path to Tintagel Castle which took us about 15mins with fantastic views along the way.
A visit to Trebawith Strand is a must as is a drink in the local pub Port William.
Definitely going back to this site later in the year.

Nice site but was only half full due to soaking second field.Toilet and showers would not be adequate if full.Toilet and showers were clean, you need 20p for a shower but it lasts quite a while.Shop on site for essentials but not too expensive.Plenty of hot water for washing up.
Tintagel was a beautiful village within 5min walking distance, with a variety of restaurants, take aways, gift shops, surf shops etc.
No beach here but lovely ones within 30min in car.We visited polzaeth, new quay, treknow and bude.
Visit boscastle, and port isaac(home of doc marten).

Spent 4 nights at this site in some awful weather. The site is in a great location for the village of Tintagel, an easy stroll into the town which has craft/gift shops and number of pubs/restaurants. To the back of the site is Tintagel castle and coastal paths. The site itself was good and people friendly. Toilets and showers plentiful and clean.

We loved this site. The location is fantastic, with shops and pubs within easy walking distance.
The play area is good, and there was plenty of room for the kids to run around. The loos and showers were clean and well maintained. You need 20p to operate the shower, but one coin gave plenty of water to wash and condition hair, shave legs etc!
The man in reception was not particularly friendly or welcoming, but I got the impression that any trouble makers would not be ignored which is a good thing.
We had a very enjoyable stay here, and will definitely visit again.

This was the last stop on our weeks holiday in glorious Cornwall, walking the Coast path. This was easily the best Campsite in terms of location, being less than 5 mins walk from the heart of Tintagel. The views were stunning all around.
The campsite was very busy by the last night of our stay, the facilities were just about adequate to cope with the volume of people using the showers in the mornings, without waiting too long. I think this is helped by having to put 20ps in the showers, you can just about get away with one 20p, if ur quick, which speeds up the showering process!
The site is well maintained and looked after, with pitches being cordoned off to allow the grass recovery. There were no marked pitches, which could be a slight problem in peak times as there are areas on quite a slope which people naturally avoid, thus making the flatter areas quite cramped.
The shop had basic supplies, which was handy. There are plenty of good places to eat and drink in Tintagel, serving home cooked, tasty dishes.
The coast path is literally on the doorstep, making it very convinient for walkers.
Overall, I would recommend the site, and my boyfriend is already thinking about a return trip!

Very happy with our stay at Headland. Toilets and facilities spotless. Nice quiet site if a bit windy! Five minute walk to Tintagel. Owner could not have been more helpful especially when we had problems with our hook up cable. Would definitely return.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay in this site, and would recommend it. We had a great pitch with electric hookup overlooking the site. The toilets and showers were clean, laundrette, handy shop, friendly fellow campers and reasonable rates. Tintagel was a short walk, with lots of lovely places to eat and drink, castle and costal path were also on our doorstep. All in all it was a fantastic 2 night stay.Highly recommended

This campsite is lovely and we would highly recommend it, and it is very reasonably priced (compared with others in the area!). We intend to use it on a regular basis in the future. It is a relaxed, family run campsite with a well stocked shop and clean facilities. The showers cost 20p with a time limit, but the time allowed is plenty. It is perfectly located within Tintagel, situated close to all pubs/ shops / restaurants/ Tintagel Castle and Cove. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return!
