Just returned from this GREAT SITE, close to the coastal paths and with awesome views but just a few minutes walk from the village of Tintagel.
I can commend the owners and their daughter and son in law for their hard work keeping the place spick and span. They were also so helpful and friendly and showed incredible patience even at the weekend. The showers are only 20p and sufficient to shower and wash hair. The sight also provided a laundry room. During the week the showers and toilets were spotless and always loo paper a plenty! Sadly the weekend and extra people (many who were thoughtless and dirty) stretched them to the limit but they still responded to come and clean within 5 mins of any report of dirty loos etc. If you are going to TINTAGEL you should try this site - I would award them 9/10 and also the prices are VERY reasonable. Will certainly be going again!

A peaceful site, extremely well located right on the edge of Tintagel itself (5 mins walk). Most of the tents area is flat, but the site's name tells you that it can be a bit breezy. Great walks around the site & coastal path, and also down to the spectacular castle (don't worry, you can pay for a Land Rover taxi service to bring you back up!). We had no problem with the site staff, things were well maintained and the shop, though very small, doesn't need to be any bigger because the town is so close. They could do with a few more showers and knock the 20p charge on the head, but overall the place was fine for a few days. We'll definitely go back.

August 2003 A large campsite, but unfortunatly, just 2 fields !! For the size I felt there is no where near enough facilities (Male showers only 5, and a total of 5 toilets !!) so queing was the norm, as was the times showers at 20p for about 5 mins water.....also very limited shop, and very misserable owners !!
However....Tintagel was a very nice place and the people in the town itself were more than welcoming, and the food in the towns pubs was exceptional....
Also the scenery was breathtaking as was the trek up the famous King Arthur Castle !! not for the faint hearted....
Overall, not bad by any means but more toilets/showers needed, and some smiling owners !!
As we were there for 8 days, things became a little hard, but would go again, but only for 2-4 days before moving on.....
