The owners were very welcoming and helped us with a last minute booking. £18 per night for the four of us, a campervan and large awning. We loved this site! Plenty of space, even on a busy high season week. Lovely views. Two clean toilet blocks/washing up areas and the showers were well worth the 20p. Launderette facilities are available but we didn't use them. The shop is small and reasonably priced, offering the basics, (bread, eggs, milk, bacon, drinks, sweets, etc) but one of the advantages of this site is the 5-minute walk into Tintagel with plenty of good pubs / cafes / restaurants and shops. We were camped near the play area (which did attract the noisy teenagers after dark,) but after 10pm, we didn't hear a peep out of any other campers. The play area does need some supervision for younger children though. The pitches were level. The only downfall is, as others have pointed out, it does get rather windy! And unluckily for us, we had one night of VERY high winds, which made me fear for our awning (which we sleep in) But that's hardly the site's fault :) We will definitely return, as Tintagel is a fabulous base for North Cornwall's wonderful beaches (Trebarwith is our favourite - a five minute drive away) and lots of other attractions.

Owners were very helpful and were most obliging and hard working. During the school holidays there is a fast food van available on site from 8 am until 1 pm which sold the best bacon baguettes! Tintagel village was very pretty but did get very busy and we felt that we have exhausted this area now. The launderette in the village was absolutely brilliant. £7 for a wash and dry same day which was terrific as we went in the most terrible weather mentionable with rain and mud galore. Otherwise you could use the facilities on site but the dryer has to be pumped constantly with coins and the owners lock the wash/dry area up at night which can be a pain. Shower and toilet areas very clean, shop is in reception which sells basic goods. As mentioned before, it is very windy there. Our Gazebo actually ripped so come prepared. Also site got very busy and felt quite crowded in school holidays. In summary a very nice, clean site and the children enjoyed themselves no end. Would go back again but not in the near future as felt we had exhausted Tintagel.

This is the closest site to the village of Tintagel, with stunning views across the headland as the site's name suggests! The toilets are not the newest you will find, but were always found to be clean and tidy. The site is a mixture of level grassy pitches, with some open sloping areas. A 2-3 minute walk will bring you to the village centre where several good pubs (The Cornishman among the best), restaurants, and pastie shops can be found! We found this site to represent good value for money, in one of the countries most beautiful areas. ***.

I loved this site. Beautiful views of the countryside and the sea, 2-3 minute walk to the village and the shops/pubs, 10 minute walk to Tintagel Castle, clean toilets and showers (showers 20p for limited time, but worth it). £13 a night for EHU during Bank Holiday weekend. Whilst there you must try a cornish pastie from the shop down the road - they make them in the window and they are simply gorgeous. One word of warning for this site though - it is not sheltered and on top of the clifftop and during our stay the winds really got up (approx 40mph) and there were not very many tents/awnings left standing by the end of the weekend - so keep an eye on the weather forecast! Although, I am sure this would be the case for many sites in these winds. Would definitely visit this site again!

Excellent campsite, first stayed here in 1998 when me and a friend were walking the coastal path. Came back again with the family in 2004, and have stayed every year since, last year(2006) we stayed during the Tintagel festival! Looking forward to staying again this summer. The thing I like about this site is the fact it is family owned meaning you don't have to pay the ridiculous prices some campsites charge.and of course being situated in Tintagel helps! Good clean facilities.with some excellent pubs nearby. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our visit to this very pleasant campsite located on a rugged Cornish headland. The location is really good, right at one end of the village of Tintagel. The pitches are neat and tidy and well kept, there are a small number of electric pitches but early booking is advised to secure one. The shower and toilet block facilities are quite good and kept clean and in good order. There is also a small shop on site which is kept well stocked with the basics and is reasonably priced. It is just a few minutes walk to the center of the village, where there are plenty of places to eat and pubs to visit and lots of very interesting souvenir and curio shops. There are beaches nearby, Trebarwith Strand being my favorite, also the village of Boscastle is just a short distance away and well worth a visit, go and explore the Witches museum there! The site as its name suggests is on a headland, with views out to sea. There is also easy access to the coastal path. Be aware though, because of its location, it can get very windy here. All in all I rate this campsite extremely well and have booked again this year.

Spent 3 nights here just before the Bank Holiday. The facilities are fairly basic but clean. We loved this site. A pitch where you like site, very quiet and the most beautiful setting. The on-site shop sold reasonably priced bare essentials and there are two small supermarkets in Tintagel a 5 minute stroll away. Make sure you walk down and paddle in the Atlantic, and don't forget your well deserved "cream tea". We will definitely visit again.

We found this site to be overcrowded and noisy, the farm next to the site started very early and the people on the site kept going until very late. The facilities were kept clean most of the time and the owners obviously worked very hard. The position of the site is a winner though as you can walk into the town for food and pubs. The town is lovely and well worth a visit.

THE BEST. Just came back from 5 days there for the 4th time in as many years. You camp where you want and views and location cannot be beaten. Tintagel is wonderful and very 'Cornish' Pitches are cheap too so don't mind 20p for the shower and they are immaculately clean Cant wait to get back again later in the year.

This was the 3rd site we visited whilst touring Cornwall, and we all thought it was the best.
There are no set pitches and were told we could camp where ever we liked. Although this was peak time, the owners had clearly not over booked as there was still plenty of space for a decent pitch.
The facilities were of a very high standard, including a laundrette, childrens play area, two dishwashing areas, three toilet blocks one of which with showers (we spent no more than 40p for a decent one). The shop stocked all the usual basics but also had info on bus services and local walks and sold some camping gear too. Owners were very helpful.
The village of Tintagel really is a two minute walk away, we counted 7 pubs and the butchers sold ready made bbq packs which were great.
We walked the five mile stretch of the Cornish coastal path straight from the site to Boscastle and found some stunning views.
If Im in Cornwall again, I'll be going back.
