Just got back from our first visit to this campsite and found the site ok. The pitches are a decent size and quite flat, we had a service pitch which has its own water supply and electric supply. There is a small club on site with good entertainment and a small children's arcade. The swimming pool is £18 for a family of four 2 day pass. It also includes a nice jacuzzi, steam room and sauna for adults. The showers are 50 pence per card and last 10 minutes, although there's only one hook for your clothes and towel. The beach is a short distance away and has boards to make it easier to walk through the dunes. Whats really lacking is a decent children's play area, there is one at the back of the clubhouse but its pretty poor and could do with updating and expanding, the toilets are ok and there are portaloos although these are locked in the day! The on site chip shop is also worth a try and also does a nice breakfast in the small restaurant next to it, the opening hours are a little short though. There is only one access road to the site and is very narrow in parts with only a couple of passing places and stone walls each side. There are plenty of places too visit in the local area such as harlech castle, rhaeadr nantcol waterfalls and barmouth is only a short drive away.

We spent six days here with three other families, they pitched three of us in a row and one the other side of another camper, would have been lovely to have all been together, but we booked last minute. The pitch was flat and large and no extra charge for our large tent. We each had our own water and electric supply.
There was on on site shop and takeaway which had everything we needed and prices were not inflated.
A spa complex which we didn't use. There was a private beach that we made the most of. A lovely large children's play area, wish we had taken bikes or skates for the kids as it was so flat.
Just one little bug bear no soap in the toilets, and showering time 8. 30am- 8. 00pm not early enough for me but we were on holidays, one handy thing they did have was have a portaloo on the end of each small field very handy in the middle of the night, but closed it around 6. 30am would have been useful to have it open longer.
All in all lovely site and would happily go back.
We used the site as a base to climb snowdonia, if you intend on catching the Snowdonia mountain railway book online in advance not to be disappointed like my son and I. We also visited Harlech Castle which was a few miles down the road. Plenty to see and do.

We visited this site for a weekend away, having spent my summer holidays there as a child.
The place doesn't change much; it's still as good as I remember. Beautiful beach, chippie and club on-site. An immaculate swimming pool with sauna and steam room and lovely changing facilities.
The Launderette is so handy if it's been raining as you can get your stuff dry. The shower block is nice and clean and a pleasure to use.
Some nice local walks, a nice little pub just down the lane and friendly people. The staff can't do enough for you.
All in all it's a site that has lost none of it's charm over the years.

Just returned from a week staying at the site. We have stayed at Dyffryn Seaside Estate many times before either in a static caravan or in a tent - we had no problems at all on these previous visits. However, on this occasion when we stayed on a touring caravan pitch we had problems. The site really needs to look at the number of cars allowed to park at each pitch! There should be a strict parking policy as at the moment there seems to be no limit to the number of cars allowed per pitch. Our next door but one neighbours were very disrespectful. They had two 4x4 cars and a boat, plus friends visiting in another 4x4 at times (non of which were actually parked outside their own caravan or awning). This meant they encroached on the pitch next door and constantly parked right outside our caravan, partially blocking us in and restricting our view 100% of the time. The pitches only have enough room for a tourer and one car per family otherwise it becomes very packed in and unsafe for children to play outside their own caravan! We also noticed that there were two other caravans which had 3/4 cars per pitch visiting constantly - I am sure the site owners were not aware of this as they promote a 'no group' policy. We actually counted 10 people staying on one pitch whilst we were there. I think the pitches should be policed more frequently as I think some people take advantage.
Another issue was that some disrespectful individuals thought it was ok to smoke in the toilet block. There should be clear NO SMOKING signs up - as this is now illegal!
The positive points:- Dyffryn Seaside Estate is a very well maintained and clean site. The pool is excellent and very clean. There is a laundrette and an on site chippy with a club also. There is the most beautiful beach just a 5 minute walk from the site. The pitches, if not being taken advantage of by certain families, are spacious and well looked after.
The site itself is in an excellent location with Barmouth just a few minutes drive away and Harlech and Shell Island also just a short drive away in the other direction.
We will be visiting the site again but will be asking to stay in the caravan hook up field nearest the beach as there seems to be a lot more room!

Great site with good facilities.
Lots of space and very handy to have portaloo at end of each paddock for those trips in the night!
Swimming pool and jacuzzi were very welcome to get warm (very wet/windy/cold weather when we visited) and children's playpark next to the bar also very useful.
The pitches were flat and well drained and there are plenty of taps available
Washing up facilities were good and plenty of them
Do make use of the great pub up the track by the swimming pool for a fab sunday lunch and welcoming child friendly atmosphere :)
Will visit again and hopefully experience the site in sunshine!

We have used this site quite a few times and is one of our favorite local sites. It has everything to offer, great pitches, we were on a camping pitch with EHU, clearly defined pitches with enough room for our folding camper, awning plus annex, each pitch also comes with its own water supply.
There is a well stocked shop, chippie, bar, a park for the kids, (Chippe is great for a cone of chips on way back to tent after a beer).
And a very nice walk to the massive beach, staff always busy maintaining the site, lawnmowers and strimmers were a bit to much once or twice, but we understood that its ongoing maintenance and has to be done,

We have stayed at Dyffryn Seaside Estate on several occasions and usually camped, however, we decided to rent a caravan for the week for a change.
The caravan was a platinum 2010/2011 model(owned by the park) and I can honestly say it is the best caravan we have ever stayed in. The facilities were first class and included, a full size cooker, integrated fridge freezer and large flat screen tv and many other practical items.
There were two bathrooms. One large one and one en-suite, again furnished to the very highest standard. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. In all, akin to a show home. The only thing missing was a waste bin.
The site itself was as usual - immaculately clean and well kept, the pool and jacuzzi were very clean too.
We are returning in the summer with our tent as the camping facilities are excellent. The on site shop is well stocked and reasonably priced and the fish and chips are delicious.
We've stayed on many sites throughout North Wales and this one really does take some beating!

We were heading to Shell Island for the Easter weekend, however when we arrived the site was already full.
On searching for an alternative site we stumbled across Dyffryn Seaside Estate and we were over the moon with our find!
This site caters for all campers, with excellent shower and wash facilities, on site pub, chip shop (not that we sampled the chips!), swimming pool and an excellent general store that sold everything you could possibly need at very reasonable prices.
Note that you have to buy shower cards, £1 for 2 x 8 minute showers.
The campsite is clean and well maintained throughout and I really cant fault it!
The real bonus is that the beach is literally a 5 minute walk from the campsite. A real treat in good weather!
We know this coastline well but for those that don't, the site is in between Barmouth and Harlech, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and days out within a short distance of the site.
I highly recommend this site and we will definitely be returning!

On a whole, very good camping site, facilities very good and toilets cleaned every day by the looks of them. Tthe beach was very clean and tidy, kids loved the sand dunes, and going to the park by the restaurant which we were happily letting them go on without supervision because it looked safe. At night time you could hear the calming sound of the sea on every paddock. We were in one right by the end of the site and there was a bit of a walk to get to the main area of the site. My bad point was staff not very happy. But on a whole, great site going again this year 2011 definitely!

We have just returned from a four day stay at the site, booked before we went as we needed electric hookup [13yr old Daughter and hair straighteners!]
Easy enough to find of the main road and well maintained, lads litter picking and cutting trees back as we arrived.
Reception very friendly and helpful, giving us a map of where we were to pitch and how to get there.
All hookup pitches have little boundary fences their own water and electric points.
After we set up we went in search of food, we found the chippy, the girls we very chirpy and actually wanted to be there, not like most places.
The beach was our next stop although windy and open [it is Wales!] its clean and easily accessible.
There is entertainment on site for the evenings with the disco and a couple of acts we saw which were sweet gossip and al diamond. Both highly entertaining. Although the club area and family/games area isn't very big there are plenty of seats for everyone? maybe not at the height of the season when the weather is nice.
On the whole it was great four days the showers and toilets were clean and tidy, [not sure about the portaloos that are open at night as I didn't use them.] we had a good time the place was well set out and its on a lovely part of the coast,
Be aware that if you get really heavy rain as we did on our last night you may get more than a little wet as some of the areas flooded, after a while this seeped away into the sandy soil under foot.
On the whole enjoyable try it again next year maybe on the none electric side see how that is.
Oh and don't be put off by the website, it doesn't do it justice.
