Visited here for a long weekend.
Lovely well kept site, and owner is always so welcoming.
Toilets are one of the best for a small site.
If you have a dog the owners of the orchards are happy for you to walk in the orchards, as long as you clear up after them!
We ran out of gas on Saturday morning, according to the Calor Site Pelerine is a gas supplier but they haven't had gas for years. They recommended a shop in Newent and said they were going there and would collect a bottle of gas for us. What more can you ask for? - Lovely owners!

We came across the campsite completely by accident, and decided to give it a go.
We were meeting family there too, and it really was the best camp site I have stayed at. Everything there made you feel so at home and the cleanliness was unbelievable.
The bathrooms had all the finishing touches you would ever require plus more, and the kitchen facilities were superb.
We walked with three kids to the nearby newent in about 15-20 mins, and there was everything you needed there. All the locals were very friendly and only too happy to point you in the right direction to anywhere you needed to go.
We have all said we will definitely be back, and will look forward too it. Really was superb. Would recommend to anyone.

The site was small but well set out, The bathrooms had only 2 toilets and one shower each for male and female but this was fine as the site was small. For the first couple of days we were very happy we had chosen to stay at this site but then a group of car enthusiasts arrived to have their annual meet. There were at least a dozen tents and caravans, and we were the only non members on that side of the site. This became quite uncomfortable for us as we were made to feel as though we were unwelcome and generally in the way. We left the site to get breakfast and when we returned were not even able to park our car by our tent due to the others having placed their kitchen and chairs in our parking space. One of the evenings they allowed their children to run screaming around our tent until 11pm whilst they were sat under gazebos in the middle of the field, drinking and generally being quite loud.
We have no objections to people enjoying themselves but we should have been made aware this was going to be taking place when we booked, or at least given the option to pitch our tent on the other camping area where none of this group were.
We would have considered returning to this site another year but feel quite disappointed that we were not given this information, and as this is a regular event we believe the owners should inform customers when they enquire about booking.
We wont be returning to this site.

We stayed as a 4 pitch family group in peak season. The site is well kept and safe for children to run around on. Facilities were clean, but as there was only one shower in each of the ladies and gents there was a queue sometimes. You can hire a chimonea and enough wood for 2 or 3 evenings for £6, which is lovely for groups to gather round. On the downside, due to a mix up on our pitch allocation which was not of our doing, we felt we were not treated with respect as 'customers'. One of the party had to cut their 7 night holiday short by one day because a rally had been booked in, even though we had clearly requested a pitch for one week. We were made to feel very uncomfortable over the issue. I would recommend getting confirmation of your booking in writing.

What a lovely little site. Separate areas for adults only (bliss). Well laid out, well cut grass, nice little seating area. Toilets are well fitted out, only one shower for each of men and women but not a problem. Very quiet, and no noise in the evening from traffic. Bit of a trek back into town though so be prepared to bring every thing you need if, like us, you don't want to take the motorhome off pitch.

We have just finished our first year at Pelerine with a Seasonal Pitch.
The site is beautiful, always kept clean and tidy. I would rather have a large clean bathroom than a row of dirty ones. The Kitchen has been really useful with the microwave, washing machine and freezer.
There are great walks nearby and Newent is a lovely walk across the fields.
I have 3 children and even though there isnt a play area they are free to play and Gail makes them feel welcome.
I would also like to point out that for older children there is a climbing wall at gloucester and a fantastic skate park at Churchtown which is a real winner. The Forest of Dean is only or short drive away.
To be honest we mostly enjoy staying on the site enjoying the peace and the chimneas and firewood.
We have signed up for another year and look forward to hopefully a bit more sunshine! Thanks again Gail!

We have just had a lovely 11 days at this park 2 adults & 2 children aged 2 & 4 park has an excellent lay out with adults and families on different fields pitch sizes are more than big enough and we have a outwell Vermont xl.
There is not a park but there is plenty of room for children to play on bikes etc there are games in the family room for wet days.
We never had any problems with dirty towels in the toilets or dirty bathrooms cleaned daily in fact Gail was cleaning Walls and ceilings twice when we we're there!
With regards to the campers kitchen no one can blame Gail for it being messy it's down to individuals who do not to clean up behind themselves. Gail keeps the grass cut with no grass cuttings which helps with little children.
The site is in a fantastic location for Newent village which is really nice and it's nice and easy to get to most places for the day out.
We have stayed on sites that have cost a lot more and the facilities have been terrible and the owners have been far less helpful than this owner who was always willing to help.
Will we be back without a doubt!

Spent a week on this site (1st time here )myself, husband and 7yr old son, daughter and her partner, had a great time.
The facilities. Everything you need, fresh towels each day, large double shower (hot water free)each time I used. Gail was cleaning n refreshing which is nice.
Gail and partner were very helpful not only on site but also about places to see.
No play park, but did not need 1 as all the kids on site were informed of their own den area and plenty of grass areas to play what they wanted to.
Nice touch was a free chimnea, bought the wood from site (£6) and this lasted a good few days. You can also get a BBQ.
The residents on site are extremely friendly too. Will go back to this site.

Beautiful site.
Facilities were all cleaned on a regular basis. In addition to toilets showers, kitchen with fridge and washing machine there is a family bathroom which is perfect for families with small children.
Not a huge about of space for wide games but the site is very well kept.
Campfires are a must for us when we camp. We were able to buy a bucket of wood on site which was great although some of the wood was chopped up work surfaces which we didn't burn as we were worried about the fumes. But so handy to just be able to go buy a bucket of wood.
There are shops in nearby Newent, including a Tescos.
Also would recommend a trip out to Cattle Country Adventure Park. It was a real fun day out. We also went to Puzzlewood which was ok but not a huge amount to do. Another trip out I would recommend is Perrygrove railway. My children were 6 and 12 and we didn’t know much about it before we went but we all had a fantastic time.
All the other campers, including those staying for the year were friendly and helpful, as was the owner.
I would recommend this site

Let me make this clear from the start, there's nothing wrong with this site, it's perfectly acceptable. For us, however, acceptable isn't good enough.
The site is well located, quiet and satnav found it easily. Finding an office, or anyone to 'check-in' with was almost impossible (I know that we all have to shop. ).
We were shown onto out pitch by some very helpful season pitch owners. Plenty of room for us on the family side of the site, great access to water and power.
Very disappointed by the facilities block, rather a DIY feel to it. This is the only facility for the whole site and although most of the pitches are caravans, caravanners still need to shower and use the toilet! 2 toilets(+urinal) in men/women and only 1 shower, so no change there from previous posts.
We didn't see anyone cleaning at any point. Lovely touches with the towels, handwash and toiletries, but the towels in particular need to be changed daily and this didn't happen.
Still only 1 sink for washing up and although there are large fridges/freezers, they badly need cleaning out (rather a strong smell).
We liked the idea of the family room, but in reality, didn't feel we could use it. So pleased we were only there for the weekend.
Would we return. Possibly.
