Stayed with our two girls (1 and 3) for a week. Site stunning, facilities best we have ever seen, newent gorgeous town, loads to do in the area, very laid back atmosphere. Towels in bathrooms very much appreciated as was the fridge and the freezer (cold beer!). Gail the owner lovely. Couldn't have asked for more.

We stayed on this lovely site the same weekend the owners have an annual barbie, which we were told about when we booked, with all food and drink laid on free of charge by the owners as a thank you to their many regular visitors. The showers are the best we have ever come across, double shower trays, fresh towels, soap, shower gel etc, and cleaned to a very high standard at least twice a day. Beautiful grounds and views not overcrowded even on a bank holiday. Kitchen well equiped with fridge freezer and washing machine. Very good access to site and lots of places to visit in area . I would recommend a visit to this site and judge for yourself.

Not too sure about this campsite. I know every one else seems to love it, but I'm not convinced. I don't think that 1 shower each for ladies and gents is sufficent (I had to wait for at least 15 minutes every morning) and I wonder how many people have realised that the glass in the disabled / unisex shower isn't completely opaque! I also don't think that the showers / toilets were cleaned for the 3 days that we were there - although I am prepared to stand corrected on that one. One washing up sink I don't think is enough either not for a campsite with that many pitches.
I think what probably spoiled it for me was the party organised by the owners on the Saturday night - what's wrong with that you may well ask? Well in principal it was a great and very generous idea, but it went on too long not finishing until after midnight and my husband and I were then rusely awoken by some drunken party goers returning to our field well after 12.30.

August 2005 After visiting Pelerine with friends in June 2005 before we left we booked another week-end in August and have just had another great time. A lovely campsite with top class toilets / shower block. George the warden is very helpful. We will definitely be returning.

May 2005 Just returned from our first camping trip as a family. We chose this site after it was reccomended to us by a frind and it was excellent. George the warden was extremely pelasant and very helpful, the toilets were very clean and well maintained.
Although there is only one shower in the Gents and one in the Ladies there is also one in the disabled toilets which George suggested may be more pratical for washing the children.
The prices seemed reasonable to me and we had a great time despite the rain on the day we left. Highly reccomended.

May 2005 An excellent campsite with very helpful staff. Good location for access to Gloucestershire and Wales. Only one shower in the mens and one in the ladies but even though the site was full on the Bank Hol that we stayed there this was not a problem and we did not have to wait for showers more than 5 minutes. Would return and recomend to others.

March 2005 FANTASTIC...
My family and I stayed over the Easter break. We found the facilities to be the very best found on any site.
George the Site Warden also very helpful, and willing to answer your every question.
We would recommend this site to families and couples alike.

October 2004 Very nicely laid out & quiet site. Helpful & friendly owners and "George" the site warden is out of this world, always ready to help & make you feel welcome. Excellent "Doggy" walks and fishing less than 5 mins away. Toilet & shower facilities are the best I've come across in many years of caravanning. Site is perfect for either a quiet get away or for touring the local vineyards and cotswold towns. I can highly recommend this site, we came for a week and stayed on a seasonal pitch for 4 months.

August 2004 We spent 5 nights at the site in mid August. A lovely quiet site with excellent shower and toilet block where the owners had thought of everything and the showers were hot enough even for me! Plenty of electric hook ups for grass pitches (we were in a tent). Site manager George was extremely helpful. I especially liked the fact that the price included electric hook up and showers, the only thing they charge extra for is to use the washing machine. We would definately visit again.

August 2004 I agree fully with CLAIREL & LAURA MATHEWS Reviews. I can only add that the site is only 3 miles from the motorway about 15 minutes drive, also the site is conveniently split into 2 sections. as you drive up the lane between high hedges to Reception. The fields on the left is for Adults only, which has a summer house set in a Rose Garden, Very nice & fragrant,No noise is heard from noisy children in this field,Very Hush,Hush. The fields on the right handside of the lane is for Families. I have stayed in both Adult & Family Fields,Absolutely Excellant, the site warden GEORGE you couldn't wish to meet a better Chap.
