Just come back from a 3 night stay.
It's a BIG site. Five lakes although 2 of which are very small so more suited to kids. Mind you that`s no bad thing as it's good to get young kids into fishing!
I fished the match lake and had a lovely relaxing session. Only caught 3 but that didn't matter as the views were stunning. Good sized pitches.
I've read a few comments about noisy wedding functions. There was one on Saturday night and the music volume was not excessive. Maybe they've soundproofed the room? The wedding did not have any impact on anyone as far as I could tell.
Plus points :-
Nice helpful staff
Great bar and reasonable prices, the food in the bar was very good. I didn't eat in the restaurant but it was busy and the food looked good. Good range of beers - the Rosie's Pig cider was especially good.
Showers were excellent (and no tokens!) although on one shower I used the water only lasted about 3 seconds before I had to push the button again.
Toilets and pot washing areas were very clean.
On the non-electric site there were a fair few wooden benches available which was good to cook on and eat.
Nice atmosphere.
Excellent fishing lakes.
A haven for geese. Seeing formations of geese fly over the campsite at dusk was an amazing sight.
Midway between Grantham & Sleaford.
Minor negative points:-
No shop - yes there is a (good) fishing tackle/bait shop and general stores opposite as part of the petrol station but a site this size really needs an on site shop.
Could do with more showers as only 2 toilet/shower blocks, each with 3 showers in, so only 6 at any one time. A couple of times I had to go for a walk and come back later. With the sheer number of people on site this amount of showers is just not enough.
The local village (Ancaster) is a one horse town! It's about a fifteen minute walk away. One butcher, one post office, one surgery, one pub and no shop! And the train station has very infrequent trains.
Would I go again ? Yes without a doubt. I really enjoyed my stay there.

This our second visit to woodland waters we 1st came in August we were on hard standing near the specimen pond, but it only hard standing for the caravan the grass is worn away and slippery when wet we were told they were due for an upgrade and going to put gravel down like pitch 60, so when I booked again I asked for 60 but it was already booked so I was told the others were new hard standing but what a disappointment when we arrived to no gravel or any upgrade and like other reviews £2 per night per dog, and there isn't a dog wash or anything we were looking forward to going in to woodys when we went in it was empty so we sat near the log burner and started to relax but the bar person appeared and told us we had to sit round the other side with our pooch we moved but the high chairs were so uncomfortable as I have mobility problems and it was cold, the email I received back I was told 'dogs are allowed in the bar area not the restaurant 'the nicest thing about coming here is the Chinese takeaway in ancaster and the butchers shop.

We fully enjoyed our weekend here and will return. We saw a wedding so reports of noise were of interest but are unfounded from my point of view. Toilets clean and warm showers worked as they are expected too. Bar / food good service could not fault at all. Minor gripe is when I came to empty my chemical toilet, the empty point was overflowing, not very pleasant but it was late on Sunday Morning just before kick out time, so I guess it was at the limit of people doing the same as me!

First time visit to the site
What a lovely site. Well worth a visit. Toilet clean
Best fishing I've had in along time
Chemical toilet, waste points, was well placed, didn't have to queue.
Meals are good value, the drink are well priced. The log was nice to sit in front of with a pint.
The only down side was trying to find the pegs numbers, ended up having to park on the road and walk to find our pitch.

Stayed here for a couple of nights at the beginning of Oct courtesy of Grantham Caravans. What a beautiful site! Excellent shower/toilet facilities. Good bar food (we didn't use the restaurant). There was a wedding reception on the Saturday night but (contrary to previous reviews) we weren't disturbed at all by what little noise there was. The grounds and lakes were beautiful to walk round and there was plenty of space for the kids to run about. Would certainly pay another visit if we were touring in that area again.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Woodland Waters. Lots of negatives I'm afraid. Although the site is pretty with the fishing lakes etc I feel that unless fishing is for you go somewhere else. Our first night we were kept awake until well after 2am whilst a group of caravanners thought it was a great idea to play music loud talk loud and generally do everything loud. Called the number for so called warden to advise that the noise levels were excessive. Straight through to voicemail. 2nd night kept awake til after 1am as there was a wedding reception going on in the club again music loud and was never told of this when booking in despite our pitch being close to club.
There are only 2 CDP points for the site. One for the caravan site and other for tent site, had to queue to empty toilet (first time ever) Showers were excessively hot with no means to turn temp down. Too hot for our 6 and 9 year olds. Play ground very small and basic.
Site was full and it felt cramped. Unusual 3 in a row pitches run horizontally throughout caravan site making pitching a challenge if arriving late and more so if leaving before rest of caravannners. No mention either of woods being cleared at side of site so woken early each morning by chainsaws machinery and workmen. On last morning they decided to set a bonfire, and we were engulfed in choking smoke, ash and the occasional airborne ember. Again never told by reception. All in all site does not live up to the website hype. Wont be back. My advice? Choose your pitch carefully ask about potential wedding receptions, AND where is the WARDEN??? Never saw one

An absolutely fantastic site!
Clean showers and toilets. Great for dog walking.
Will be going back the next time I'm in the area. It's open all year and has seasonal parties such as Halloween and Bonfire Night as well as Christmas and New Year.
Could do with a decent well stocked shop. There is a garage nearby but is a bit of a hike if you have a pitched motorhome and can't be bothered to walk!
Other than that 10/10

Its our third time here. Lovely well kept site. Overlooking fishing lake. Nice woodland walk. Had a meal in the restaurant which was very nice. Has a nice clubhouse and bar but be prepared for a long wait when there are a few people wanting to be served as staff are few at serving.
Showers spot on. Had a really good weekend there.
Now, the downside. Had very little sleep due to a wedding that was going on. The music was very loud and can be heard all over the site. I was quite far from the clubhouse so I really felt for those that were close to it. My moan is that I was never informed of the wedding, if I had and still chose to stay then that would be my fault but to not be told is wrong of the owners. After this weekend I can honestly say that if I want to book again and there is a wedding function I will not go. We heard another couple near us the following morning and it was their first time there and they were complaining about the noise. How can a site that says no noise after 10pm or 11pm whatever it is then play music that loud?
It goes totally against what camping is all about, peace and quiet and relaxation.
£4 for a porch awning per night is steep.
