Stayed at this site for our first ever french 'camping' type holiday and must add as a first timer you cannot go far wrong here.
It was approx 2. 5 hours drive from Calais and fairly easy to find (once we sorted the satnav!), also signposted on the approach if you approach from the Soissons or Compiege ends.
We had booked via lifestyle in their 2 bed Amber which was no7 van, quite small even for a family of 3 but nipping clean so cant really complain. The vans location was opposite the go garts which to some would be disastrous but to us with a car mad 4 year old was great! (they close them off anyway around 8pm and don't usually open up till after 9am).
Facilities, you couldn't ask for more and is ideal for anyone with young children with go karts, trampolines, bouncy castle, parks, space to run around, 3 pools, pedaloes and crazy golf! What I must point out is other than park and pools you need to pay for everything and at 2 euro a pop on go carts/castle/trampoline it does soon mount up so beware! The cafe bar next to these sell a 'leisure card' which is actually worth getting as you get an extra few euro on it eg pay for a 20 euro card and it has 30 euro worth of stamps on it. We used all 3 pools and found them clean, 2 covered 1 open, however if you want a sun lounger around you have to get in early I think!
Reception was well stocked with information on local area and staff were very helpful and knowledgable. Trips 2x weekly to paris and DLP also, however we drove to DLP which was easy enough approx 1hr away and parked as per the helpful folk on here at disney village car park for 8 euros.
I would estimate approx 90% of those staying here were english with the balance being a mix of dutch and german families. We were fortunate enough to share our 'plot' with a lovely dutch family and I feel this added to the overall holiday.
Bakers and shop on site for morning pastries and bread, 2 restaurants (cant comment on as didn't use) and bars (pool and beach). During our stay they put on a fireworks display at the beach bar which was lovely, however music did go on till late that night and could be heard around site.
Intermarche is Vic Sur Aisne (2 minutes drive from site), or Cora hypermarket in Soissons (15 mins) which we tended to use.
Pierrefonds is well worth a visit, beautiful village and chateau, we sat by the lake and had crepes which were delicious. Also had a visit to the Armistice Clearing which is on route to Compiegne.
Would recommend for any first timers out there, and we would defo go back at some point.

The reviews of this site vary. We found it to be superb!
The one place we would not have liked to have been pitched (large 8 man tent) would be the 'Island' section of Le Parc. Le Parc itself (next to the 2nd tennis court) was lovely with a mature set of trees and enough of a balance between shade and sun. The island was wet, dank, muddy and not very nice.
The toilet block next to Le Parc was regularly cleaned and only had the issue of mud being walked in onto wt floors, but this surely can't be avoided?
The pool complex was fantastic with a big pool indoor, a set of rapids and waterfalls around the large outdoor lagoon style lake, and then the indoor shallow kids pool with it's central mini slides. There was a curly slide which was a bit rubbish, but the 'dipper' slide was ace! A real favourite with kids big and small!
We ate at the pool restaurant, and whilst the food was ok, it wasn't quite worth the money. Chez Michelin needs booking a week in advance to be sure of a table.
I could go on and on, but to be brief; SUPERB campsite I would recommend it to anyone.

This was our first trip in France and we chose Eurocamp with a pre-erected tent all laid out for us when we got there. We chose this site as we wanted to do the whole Eurodisney thing as we have 3 small kids.
The campsite was very clean, the showers were hot (almost too hot sometimes!) there was no queuing for facilities.
They had good laundrettes that seemed reasonably priced but we just handwashed and used the sun to dry as we were very fortunate with the weather.
The campsite has 2 lakes, one for fishing and pedaloes and 1 for a beach style lake for swimming.
The pool complex is lovely if very very busy with no room to move or put your stuff down but this is to be expected in the school holidays I guess.
No evening entertainment when we were there which was a shame but we ate in the restaurant and they were accommodating to children who only wanted plates of chips! There are also little parks around for the kids to play on and let off steam. There are trampolines and bouncy castles but they get expensive when you have to pay for 3 kids each time so beware.
Overall we really enjoyed our first camping trip overseas and would definitely go back again but to be honest we wanted to try something different as there is a whole country to explore.
We are buying our own equipment and going independent next year and so will be going elsewhere but we really did have a fab time and would highly recommend this site for its ease of proximity to Paris and for the facilities and cleanliness.

Myself and my partner, and my parents joined us later in the holiday. We booked the site in February and was a bit worried when we we read some of the reviews and we had booked an 8 night stay.
However we would recommend this site to anybody. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our pitch. (Thank you to reception for borrowing us an adaptor so two caravans could get electric) was really helpful.
The facilities at this site are excellent, the pool complex is great, beach bar well worth a visit, . We also went on the pedalos 10 euros for 30 mins for 4 people, which for a big site is great value.
We also recommend the bus trips on site to Paris, however you wont see all of Paris! we advise you get the tour bus for 27 euro`s as its the only way you see most of Paris, it took us 3 1/2 hrs to queue for the Eiffel tower!
On the last night of our stay we went to the restaurant, fantastic value first time in France were we couldn't manage the food as there was very generous helpings!
We really want to visit this site again, the only slight concern, which I see has been mentioned, is the expansion of the site across the road. We feel that another pool etc needs to be added, as the current facilities we personally feel would get too over run, also we hope that the statics don't take over as this seems to be happening.
We loved this site a lot, we will be returning, we just hope the expansion and the amount of statics that seem to be creeping in, don't ruin this already fantastic site. See our review in a couple of years!

The site is now getting to big for its own good due to pressure from the static caravan companies, the owners have a plot of land on the opposite side of the road of which is being developed to contain more accommodation for this site. This bank holiday was the busiest we have experienced, we are normally placed with our touring caravan by the large lake, but this time we were placed in 'la parc' which was pretty but with only two toilets, of which only one ever worked, the other permanently locked, with only cold water to wash with, where the rest of the site had the luxury of hot water and showers. The electric supply constantly went off. Some of the staff had an attitude that upset the wife and had a take it or leave it outlook. If you are going on holiday to fish the lakes good luck to you if you can get a space on any of the lakes. The only way is to do what others do and leave a bivvy in place for your whole stay. We have decided not to visit this site again due to the problems that we have encountered

I've had another fab holiday with AlFresco; this was my 12th year on this site for Easter and my 7th time with AlFresco. The mobile home, a 2 bed Rossini, was spotlessly clean and very comfortable for our 9 night stay. We stayed in Allee des Hetres, which was quiet and secluded. The weather was hot on some days but ok for most of the time. The site looked great as it always does in Spring, there were flowers everywhere. The pool area was also looking very good, particularly the outdoor pool area, where we sat for a couple of afternoons.
Canvas have apparently made this their flagship site and their vans and wooden lodges were everywhere (although many were empty during our stay. The lodges looked lovely but are quite pricey (over £1000 per week compared to my £250 with AlFresco).
Every time I visit there are changes to report on. This year, the touring pitches that were formerly on the new part of the site have been taken over by Keycamp, Eurocamp and AlFresco mobiles. The touring pitches are now on the perimeter of the lake and most back on to the river. They are narrow pitches but quite deep. Some of them are quite a distance from the wash blocks though. And some are very handy for the astroturf pitch and the bar! The beach bar has a lovely covered veranda to sit under; this was very pleasant in the evening. There are still a few touring pitches on the older part of the site.
Next year the site is expanding, with 95 new mobiles going onto the field opposite the beauty parlour exit to the site. I don't know which tour operators will be based there. There is also a bowling alley and a laser quest park planned.
I actually had dinner at Chez Micheline (the small restaurant within walking distance of the site in Berny Riviere) this year and would definitely recommend eating there; Didier and his team made us all feel very at-home and the food was delicious.
All in all, a very relaxing stay. We will probably be returning next year as the deal AlFresco have offered us is hard to turn down!

Arrived here in drizzle, overcast, nasty day. The chap in reception was a little ray of sunshine! Spoke very good English, lovely sense of humour, bright and cheery too. We only wanted to stay overnight so were allocated a spot that we could stay hitched not far from the shop and reception.
Sanitary block was very close by and was immaculate with loo roll and loo seats! Showers, wash up and washing machine all in the same little indoor block, so, nice and warm too. There appear to be loads of sani blocks dotted all over the site, various sizes and ages but all very clean and tidy.
Had a good walk around the Village, you cant describe it as anything else as it is huge with all sorts of accommodation available, pitches, erected tents, wooden gites and loads of chalets. Fab indoor swimming pool, still very much being used when we visited although unfortunately the restaurant and take away were closed. There appeared to be lots for children to do and if you are into fishing, we were assured by a Scottish fisherman that the lakes are well stocked.
Only had this as a one night stop on our way home from Italy this time but would happily return again, but only out of season, as we quite like a quiet life and can't imagine that this site would be that over the summer!

Used the satnav and Camping Cheque instructions to find the site. Site is very large and not our normal type of place.
However, reception was very friendly and we were shown to the pitch. We had a serviced pitch, own water supply (we did not ask for this). Pitch enclosed by large hedge. Would be tight to get into if you had a caravan, unless you had a mover.
Site had large swimming pool, bar, shop and restaurant. Staff in bar were a little intolerant when went to use internet (french style keyboard).
There are some large fishing lakes and pitches there.
Site is mostly statics and tents by commercial firms, but tastefully arranged.
It is a short walk into the small town, which has a few shops.
We used Camping Cheque and did not have to pay tourist tax.
Visited the Armistice site just down the road which was free.
About 2 hours north is the Lochnagar Crater

I do think that where you are pitched has a lot to do with the 'success' of your holiday. A lot has been said about Le Parc area of the site, and, I have to say, I wouldn't like to be pitched there. Although its very quiet, a lot of the pitches were wet(we only had 2 lots of rain in 2 weeks but they didn't seem to drain or dry up), the stream holds stagnant water-so lots of mosquitoes- and the trees seem to drop a bluey coloured sap that covered everything. There were also lots of trees so it was extremely shaded and quite dark in places.
The site itself is a MASSIVE family site so you should expect varying amounts of noise. As well as tourers and tents, there are gites, wooden chalets, and loads of statics- Eurocamp, Canvas, Thomson and fishing holidays use the site.
Our pitch was at the far end of the site so wasn't too noisy-nothing much after about 10 at night. We had an individual pitch which was huge - could've got another caravan on it!-and full service too. The ground was very hard-which was great when it rained as the water just ran away. It hammered it down and we expected a soggy awning floor but it was just damp and dried quickly. From what we could see, the flat pitches held the water-there was a couple that couldn't be used all the time we were there and didn't really dry out, There was also a lot of puddles that didn't seem to go anywhere!
The toilet / shower blocks were cleaned at least twice a day. They're unisex which felt a bit odd-but they're not the usual toilet/shower cubicles. They're more like corridors with shower rooms / toilets off them so you don't know who's next door or what they're doing and there's no gaps above or below the walls.
Shower cubicles are big-a word of warning-some are very highly pressured and can sting a bit. In the 2 weeks we were there, we never had to queue for a shower or toilet, despite it being high season. Remember your loo roll though-there's none in the loo's and, although there's a machine in the blocks to get loo roll out of, it does run out!
Kids facilities were fantastic-3 pools(one for toddlers) with various slides and a jacuzzi. The new outdoor water park is fab. The other 2 pools have retractable roofs. The pools are all linked so you need to keep an eye on the kids cos they can go from one to the other.
There's bike hire, a ping pong room, inflatable slide, electric cars, trampolines, boats. Yes, you have to pay extra-but you would in this country-and you can buy prepaid tickets which are better value eg a 10 euro card gives you 14 euros of use.
There are 3 bars and 2 restaurants-you need to book-and a take away that does fab pizzas, all cooked fresh to order so expect a bit of a wait when its busy. The on site shop sells enough stuff to keep you going and we didn't find it too expensive. There is an intermarche (supermarket) nearby where the alcohol is stupidly cheap-but good! The on site bakery bakes baguettes all day and has a good supply of pastries.
The man made beach got the most use from us! The kids can use inflatables and cos its not very big they wont really go out of their depth(the deepest part is about 5'5' and is roped off so you know where it is-you can still swim in it though)and wont get swept away. You can see all of the beach-its a semi circle so you can see the kids wherever you sit.
There's also a lifeguard who takes his job very seriously! The beach bar serves alcohol-of course -ice cream, crepes etc and evening meals. In the evening, the roof was opened up, and there was karaoke twice a week and has wifi for 2 euros for 2 hours and 10 euros for 10 hours;you don't have to use it in one go, as long as you use it in 7 days. You can sit in the beach bar with a cold drink and watch the kids on the beach outside. Bliss!
The fishing is superb-carp fishing is popular One guy landed a 25 pounder! There are 2 or 3 lakes on the site and lots of lakes on the way to Soissons if you wanted a change. By the way the French shut for lunch for at least 2 hours!
There are a lot of Brits on this site-its only 2. 5-3 hours from Calais and the French roads are fab(the toll road we went on was nearly 20 euros each way but well worth it)-but there are also a lot of French, Germans and especially Dutch. All the staff speak english are very polite and helpful. The site run day trips on a double decker coach to Paris and Disneyland.
One thing we did notice was that there was occasionally a smell of stagnant water, but only every now and then. One of the local farmers was muck spreading for a couple of days as well which whiffed a bit but soon went!
As I said, its a big, busy family site so if you want a quiet holiday (although evening noise was minimal where we were pitched) this site is not for you.
If you want a bit of warm weather (consistently about 73 degrees when we were there, sometimes warmer), lots of activities and happy, tired(mine slept for 12 hours a night) kids, then give it a go. I would definitely go back!

We stayed here for a few nights on our way back north at the end of our holiday. Family with kids 12, 9 and 2, using our own tent. We were pitched between the river and the lake towards the far end of the site. It's a large site, but for the size it doesn't have that many pitches due to some large open spaces and small lakes.
Good large Cora hypermarket at Soissons (20 mins drive), with free wi-fi at the McDs next door.
Positives:
We welcomed the open space in front of our pitch - a view across a playing field, as other sites we've used recently offered only a view of the opposite pitch. Our pitch was large.
Playing field adjacent to pitch has obvious benefits for older kids.
The grounds are well kept. Staff friendly and helpful.
Wash block pretty good with the largest shower cubicles I have used in a long time.
Handy as a base to see Paris. Instead of the coach trip from the site, we drove to Crepy en-valois (40 mins drive) and took the train (Posh, clean, quick, on-time and good value). Timetables available from campsite reception, and don't forget to validate your ticket in the machine before going on to the platform.
Negatives:
Our pitch flooded, which apparently happens a lot in this part of the site. Conversely after a few dry days the river smells like a drain.
In the wash blocks, toilet roll is dispensed outside the cubicles, which is a system I am not a fan of, partly because it invariably leads to lots of dropped toilet roll littering the cubicles.
The site is, at least at this point in the season, overwhelmingly British. Even the local supermarket's Brit aisle is disproportionate. I didn't like the way the on-site shop staff insisted on speaking English.
The reception/shop/main bar area is a fair walk from some pitches, thus some campers use their car to get there. Ditto for chemical toilet disposal.
Noise (usually Karaoke) until 11pm-ish from the small bar at the centre of the site was significant.
We made the most of our stay and enjoyed it but we're unlikely to return here.
