Camped here for week two of our summer holiday in France 2010, staying for the first time with our own tent and kit.
The site is easy to get to from the channel ports and both large town to the west and east (Compiegne and Soisson) have great shopping facilities. Disney is located about an hour away and Parc Asterix (25 mins away is definitely worth a trip). Paris best visited by using combination of own vehicle and local rail transport.
Vic Sur Aisne is pretty and worth a walk around and the cafes/restaurants appear to have good reviews. The Pony Club near the site is good value for money if you have a young one wanting a trip on a stubborn pony but the owners are a little brusque (and busy !).
Although the site and facilities are generally excellent we felt let down by the state of the toilet and shower facilities provided for campers in Le Parc. They were sadly cleaned in the morning once, with broken seats, lights not working, poor water pressure and cold showers, nightmare to use and filthy at night - our first night on site was marred by finding one set of loos smeared with excrement.
The pitches were really tightly packed together with a metre/2 metres between units. Water taps were generally centrally located although we were lucky with a hidden private one behind us. Our electric connection point was not protected from the elements though and we had tow cover with plastic. Euro connector was required and we had a negative earth.
We were plonked in a tight space behind some tall bushes provding shelter but little sunlight close to a serpentine/water trench made originally to preserve live/fresh fish for the chateau which was very pretty but a potential risk to children.
Although people were on holiday and wanted to let their hair down there was always some noise at night with no real enforcement after 11:00 as expected resulting in some lost sleep - sometimes until the early hours. Ohe night was really bad with a group of English playing hide from site security close to us.
A wifi connection was 5 (yes five)Euros per day, available at the bar area. A 500cc Amstel was (I recall !) about 4.8 Euros !. Food at the takeaway was reasonable for the money though snd was ok. Food and drink appeared generally expensive in France this year so perhaps this is unfair criticism. Exchange rate was bad too.
We bought a 20 Euro ticket so that our eight year old could use the bouncy stuff near the lake and the site's lakes and walks are worth a trip around. The rive passing the site is busy with holiday and working traffic and the area generally has loads of wildlife to observe.
We were lucky - our neighbours were both quite nice, friendly and quiet at night. The noise from the other side of the site though was really annoying and often loutish - often day and night.
We enjoyed our stay though and we were very sad to leave. We Would go back but only if we were placed in the original emplacements and not in Le Parc.
Worthy of mention - we had the nice older French chap show us to our pitch and ever time we saw him he made contact and was a wonderful old chap.
We will be back !

Upon arrival we were escorted to a pitch within the 'la parc' area, due to the bad weather and floods the previous week/s every where was like a bog mire, our unit was large and we were positioned next to the static lake and toilets, which unfortunately were rather smelly at certain times of the day!
Upon touring around the vast site, mainly taken up by large touring operators we noticed some beautiful touring pitches situated around the whole of the beach / fishing and adventure park / playground area, as a result I asked reception if we could move, staff were extremely helpful, even driving me in their buggy to the only free and available pitch within that area, I agreed this would be perfect and we up sticks and moved.
On the very few warm days we ventured to the man made beach with fresh water - highly recommended, complete with bar area, lifeguard and water activies for anyone who wished to partake, my boys joined in with the Kayak activities, superb fun. Lots of activies scattered around the park, some which had additional charges, however, plenty to do without any added charges.
A number of lakes, with claims of very large fish being caught (see cafe poster). Plenty of free shower blocks, always clean and very high standard within. Laundry and drying facilities, tokens required. The new pool complex is superb, one flume and three toboggan slides (very fast and exciting), a wonderful covered children's pool and covered large pool, a further pool outside with rapids, all highly recommended and extremely clean with lifegaurds at various points.
Contrary to other reviews, the pools were are adequately heated especially the children's and jacuzzi! There is a general store on site, reasonably priced and stocked and a bakers which sold beautifully fresh baked produce, yummy, my children loved this! The bar area has a large sky sports tv and internet facilities upstairs, pool tables however were priced at 2 euros per games, internet access costs 5 euro daily for own lap top.
Good restaurant area, reasonably priced and a small newsagents selling English papers and gifts. A large range of activities for all ages, from bouncy castles to kayaks, crazy golf, football/basketball play zone and much more. A beauty salon on site, although I never used it.
The area is very picturesque and the attention to details is outstanding, bin area changed daily, the whole site extremely clean with beautiful flower arrangements everywhere, especially on site entry. Security 24 hrs, however no driving on site after 2230 hrs if arriving back late, however facility to park vehicles near reception.
Riding facilities 2 minutes from site entrance and village minutes away where stores/supermarket/atm. Good location for visiting Disney land Paris etc, also worth noting, Soissons a short drive away where there is a large shopping complex.
Unfortunately we had rather poor weather but this did not deter us from having fun. We would highly recommend this four star site.

If you are looking for a family site that offers you excellent facilities such as fun filled pool complex, bouncy castles, mini go-karts, shop, bar and restaurant then this is site ticks all the boxes. If you are also looking for a spacious pitch with some amount of privacy then forget it! Unless of course you book early direct to the site and request a specific area.
Having booked through a tour operator a request had been made for two pitches together as we were travelling with our parents/in laws. On arrival we were directed to a pitch that we believed would be for one of the caravans only to be told that the pitch was actually for the both of us! Worst still, space had to be left to allow public access to the tent field behind us.
Basically, the caravans would have to positioned nose to tail with a path right between our caravan and the one already in situ. We subsequently learnt that this pitch had just been vacated by one caravan and that a complaint had been lodged by a person in the tent field that access behind the caravans was a problem. Having complained to the site office we were offered alternate pitches on the Le Parc, which we later found out was the tent field.
The pitches themselves were positioned under trees which meant that we spent ten days in total shade whilst in and around the caravan. The access entrance to the Le Parc is just big enough to get the caravan through as we found to our peril as we nearly lost the cap covering our water point.
There is also a strong smell from the river and drains which even our four year old kept commenting on! We can also back up the previous review regarding the state of the electrics.
In summary your holiday here will be made or broken depending on where you are pitched, specify that you want to be pitched on the individual pitches or you will probably end up on the camping field which will ruin your holiday in more ways than one.

A friendly welcome from a cheeky male receptionist who quickly checked us in and jumped on a golf buggy and showed us to our pitch. We were surprised by the lack of rules here.
Pitches are large and set amongst beautiful mature trees, so there is some welcome shade when the sun gets to hot. We were next to the small lake where the ducks are very tame which the kids loved. As we explored we found the site to be fully equipped with places to eat and drink and loads for the kids to do.
The bakery on site sells lovely warm bread and the shop is very stocked with the basics. There's a supermarket in the small village which sells most things.
The only downside was the water pressure/temp in the showers which could have been better, and the electric hookups aren't hook ups they are extensions plugged into longer extensions plugged into electric points. Despite both I would recommend this site and would return.

This was our 2nd visit to site. First was 3 yrs ago. We arrived on 22nd Aug and set up site. Just as finished we was hit by a megga Thunderstorm which just completely drowned us. The Caravan started to sink to one side as pitch was under water. There was nothing we could do at this Late stage of night. In the morning we went to look at some other pitches but none were up to much.
We then spent the whole day moving caravan to the car hard standing part of pitch and set up as best we could. The whole 10 days we was under water to some degree.
At the end our Awning started to smell very bad. Though you cannot help or control the weather We were very much fed up with pitch as nothing has been done in the 3 yrs between our visit.
The site offers Fishing and has 3 big Lakes. Here I saw quite a few big Bream and carp dead in the water.
The site is overall a good site for a family holiday but really now needs to invest in upgrading its pitches. I did notice more of the static cabins from my last visit and maybe this is the way it is going. We found the toilets clean and looked after.

We should have stayed on this site for 7 days I wanted to go home after 4 days on site.
We got a very warm welcome from the staff on the reception. The man who showed us to our pitch reminded me of a French Mr Bean very nice man.
The site itself was very pretty and set very well there was a river running at the back of our camp which was lovely.
We asked for a large pitch and that is what we got the pitch was very nice very grassy no mud and I really liked it, every time we go camping I never like the pitch.
The shop on site is not great we went to the supermarket just around the corner which stocked much more.
The pool area was very nice one side was covered so that if the weather was bad you could still use it. However the pool was very very cold I heard so many people complain about the fact that it was supposed to be heated and was not I myself didn't go in a hate cold water so gave it a miss.
I found that this campsite is one that if you like to sit around all day talking reading etc which I do like to do in a small degree this site is fine. There was not a lot to do and me and my 2 boys aged 14 and 15 become quite bored. It was quite remote I wish I would have read more up on this site before booking and I would have known that so my mistake.
The thing I really did not like about this site was the toilet and showers, The showers were cold and there were windows in the shower block and the toilet which were not glazed this I think is wrong. They were cleaned once a day and this was clearly not enough the toilets were blocked up at one point for 2 days no nice.
We also heard a lot of complains about the camp area we were staying in which was Le Parc. This seemed like an overspill field and the electric points were hanging from the walls and used by extensions which blew our and the nieghbours electric points.
Overall I would not stay here again however the site itself is very nice and loads of space I'm sorry I'm negative however this is just the way I see it.

This was our second time visiting this site, we went last year with eurocamp and had a tent. We thought the site was great, but as the tent was dirty/smelly compared to our bearlake 6, we rented a static with keycamp this year. The site didn't disappoint. We had a pitch right by the middle lake, which has a man made beach around it, the children(aged 5-12years) loved it.
The pool complex has been updated this year and is well laid out with lots of slides/rapids etc.
We ate in the restaurant last year and had a nice meal, reasonably priced. The take-away food is okay as well. All in all it has something for all ages, my eldest did PGL which is on site. We are going back this month with my husband for fishing!

I would highly recommend this site as family friendly. The site is well equipped for most family needs, plenty of sports for all ages both in and out of water. The wash blocks are plentiful although there seems to be only a few chemical disposal points. The shops and cafes are priced as you would expect, but there are other options nearby, cafes and bakers in the town and larger supermarkets on the road to compiegne. The site coach trips make life easier for visiting Disneyland and Paris. The reception staff are very helpful, there is also a breakdown of the markets in the area. If you wish to explore this makes an ideal base to work from. I hope to return again next year to see what I missed.

Booked to stay here in our touring caravan with friends staying in a tent accompanying us for an 18 night stay. On arrival we were shown to pitches with dividing walls falling down, overgrown trees with caravans opposite that I wouldn't sell burgers out of. Having refused to put up with this we were taken to the far corner of 'LE PARK'. This turned out to be a dark forest area next to a river/brook with little sun light.
Toilet facilities had no seats, no paper or soap and a sink which was blocked and overflowing coupled with no light. We requested numerous occasions to be moved only to be shown equally as poor pitches. In the end after 3 days we packed up and left.
This site does have some lovely pitches on better fields but beware as unless you know where you want to be and have it in writing then be warned.

I would support all the positive reviews mentioned. Stopped here in our tent for 3 nights whilst catching the Tour De France arrive in nearby Reims.
A lovely historic city to visit. Trips also run from the park into Paris and Disneyland Paris throughout the week using the sites own luxury coach in case you didn't want to drive in.
A very pretty well maintained clean park which runs adjacent to the River Aisne where large dutch leisure type barges pass occasionally. Worth a visit is 'PierreFont' Castle 20 mins drive away, where the new Merlin series has just been filmed. An amazing looking castle ( How Castles should look ).
Admission only 7Euros for adults and free for under 18s. Approx 10min walk out of the site is a small town called Vic sur Ainse. We found a small market there on Thursday. Would definitely return in our caravan next time and stop longer.
