This is a super site for adults only as well as families. It is very large which can mean that you are sited a long way from the entertainment facilities though. Even though it is a very busy site, we found that away from these facilities it is very peaceful both during the day and at night.
We booked a touring pitch direct with the site and it was very easy to do using email, we did not even have to pay a deposit. The staff on reception are very helpful. We requested a pitch in a specific area of the site and our request was met.
We had a serviced pitch enclosed by a low hedge on the newer part of the site, so these hedges are still filling in but we still felt private. It does appear that these pitches are being slowly filled by statics that are used by the holiday companies and I would not be surprised if in 1-2 years time that there are none of these individual pitches left for tourers, This would leave just unmarked pitches for touring where you are placed much closer together.
The toilet and shower blocks are very nice. They are unisex which is usual in France. They were kept very clean and some days I saw cleaners going in 3 times a day. The showers are very roomy, but the floors do get very wet all over and not just in the shower bit, so I would expect it would be rather difficult to dress a child without getting their clothes wet.
The fishing lakes of which there are three have some pretty large fish in - my husband caught a 42lb grass carp and a 19lb sturgeon among others, so he was happy.
The four swimming pools are great but seem to be very busy at all times, so don't expect to be able to do many lengths !s
The on-site shop has a resonable selection of groceries and is not too expensive, The fresh bread and croissants from the bakery are great at breakfast. There is a small supermarket in the town and a large Cora supermarket in Soissons which is just a 20 minute drive away.
We like this site as it is an easy route from the ports and is well placed to visit Disneyland Paris (1 1/2 hr drive) and Paris itself can be reached by parking at Disneyland for 8 euros a day and getting the Metro in, or by going on a coach trip run by the Park itself. Rheims is again about 1 1/2 hours away and there are a variety of WW11 sites of interest nearby. The small restaurants in Vic Sur Aisne and Berny Riviere are well worth a visit, ther is one on site but we have not tried it.

We spent 3 nights at this site and arrived after a torrential rain storm which made the pitch we were shown to a physical mud bath. The pitch was actually very large but was also sloping and put this with the wet conditions it made it hard to get on our blocks to get level. I must admit I did make a bit of a mess to the grass! The EHU was the same as the UK.
The whole site itself is large and spotless with an array of activities to keep kids occupied. Fishing plays a big part here. There is a lot of statics here and already erected tents, with the touring pitches located in the middle of the site. There is a couple of smashing toilet blocks which is probably the best I have used.
Onsite is a small shop which is well stocked, but just 10 minutes walk from the site is a local supermarket which is great and so much cheaper. Also near by is a small town with many shops and cafes, there was also a market on a Wednesday.
We paid €21 euro per night I thought a tad expensive. The bus to Disney left on a Wednesday and cost €15 each return, the trip to Paris was on Monday.
I enjoyed my stay and would probably go again if we were in the area.

This is a very pretty site which we used to stay at whilst visiting Paris, Disneyland and the nearby Forest of Compiegne (to look for Black Woodpeckers, which we did eventually see!).
There is lots for children to do on site, canoeing was good value at 2euros for half an hour, pedaloes 10euros for half an hour. Bike rental is available and the swimming pool was very popular, (in fact it was a little too noisy and crowded for us). Lots of families were hiring fishing equipment and seemed to be landing good sized fish despite the kids canoeing around the lake! Ping pong tables are housed in a wonderful specially built outbuilding and it is free if you have your own equipment. Don't miss the 'hidden garden' to the far right of the site, where lawns descend to a slow and meandering river, we saw serin's, golden oriel's, and hoopoes here. There are also wooden playframes and playhouses scattered throughout the site.
The shop is well stocked, the staff are friendly and were very willing to help our children learn French. We didn't use the campsite washrooms as we were staying in a static caravan but they were housed in the same building as the launderette (washing machine 4 euros, dryer 3 euros) and they looked spotless.
It's a short stroll down to the local village with a good range of shops and an Intermarche supermarket, even closer is the pony riding stables, right beside the campsite entrance.
Overall we had a good holiday but it was spoiled somewhat by a foul smell of sewerage that was intense and at times made me feel physically sick. On several occasions we were passed by the lorry that had emptied the septic tanks and it was leaking it's contents all over the road as it drove away. There was also quite a bit of noise from the road past the site, but we were on the upper plateau level and this was inaudible from most other areas of the site.

We stayed in a Eurocamp caravan on this site - however we are regular campers.
This is a great site. At Easter it was extremely clean. The newer camping pitches are great, huge and eventually will be quite private. The two new toilet blocks are really clean, lots of washing up sinks. Agree with previous review regarding no shelf in showers etc. Toilet paper is outside the toilet and handwashing isn't encouraged. However very new. Even the older blocks were clean - but then it was quiet.
Children loved the swimming pools and the sliding roof. However changing rooms cold and floor little dirty - only because people are walking in with their outside shoes on. Lots of sunbeds around pool. Shop basic but sells lots of frozen food and some fresh. Bakery open all day and really cheerful staff.
Bike hire expensive but new bikes. If you are planning to hire a bike for a week it would be cheaper to buy one!
Will be visiting again. Some beautiful trees on site and lots of space for children to play away from pitches.

We have just returned from our 1st visit to this great site, it is an easy journey (about 3 hours) from the port of Calais.
This is an extremely large but excellent site used by many different tour operators it has a wide range of facilities to suit all ages.
The staff at reception are extremely helpful and friendly a credit to the campsite.
We were allocated a pitch in the newer part of the site, all pitches being very large and furnished with water and waste water drainage. Once the newly planted trees and shrubs surrounding each pitch have matured, each pitch will be quite private - not so at the moment, but judging by the pitches in the older area of the site the future looks quite promising.
Our pitch seemed to have a slight drainage problem resulting in a muddy sodden area that developed beneath the awning (fresh water not sewerage) quite a muddy irritating problem. Other pitches seemed to have the same problem and the owners seem to be trying to solve the problem by improving the drainage to some areas.
The nearest toilet block to our pitch, one of the newer buildings, was extremely clean - being cleaned several times each day. We only had small niggles though, 1. Once inside the cubicle the light only comes on once the door is locked leaving you standing in pitch blackness a little unnerving at first. 2. The showers are of the wet room variety and there is nowhere to put your clothes, towel etc except a very wet floor. A small stool or bench would be useful as would a small mop so each person could mop the extremely wet (but non slippy) floor after use. Problem solved - we took in a small chair and bought a mop and discussed this with one of the cleaning ladies. 3. Toilet paper is in a dispenser outside the toilet, I suggest you take your own or a plentiful supply from outside to save embarrassment. 4. There is no cold water tap in any of the toilets and also no soap to wash hands after using the toilet.
Another annoying problem to be encountered by caravan and motorhome users is that to empty and clean chemical toilets you have to walk quite a considerable distance to one of only 2 toilets blocks in the older end of the site. A big inconvenience resulting in carrying a heavy full toilet cassette or else taking it for a car ride instead.
We experienced several meals in the sites own restaurant - very good quality of food, big portions, a good selection of dishes to suit most tastes and with the service being quick, efficient and friendly. All in all a good dining experience.
The take away near the restaurant serves the usual burgers, chips, pizzas and chicken, but all again well cooked and of good value.
If you want to eat in a reasonably priced restaurant serving excellent food outside the campsite my suggestion would be the 'Lion D'or'
On the main street in Vic Sur Aisne. It serves excellent quality traditional regional dishes using regional ingredients in lovely old surroundings. The owner and his family are really lovely people who offer an excellent dining experience.
If you enjoy eating good quality fish there is a small trout farm about 8km from the site on the right hand side of the main road in the direction of Soissons. Monsieur will very happily sell you 'live' trout to take away (at least you know they are fresh) for a reasonable price - they tasted delicious!
We experienced one of the two trips organised by the campsite - travelling on its own coach, and enjoyed a full day in Paris, starting at 7.50 and returning at about 8.00, a brilliant but tiring day out.
The site also organises trips to Disneyland and on talking to thers who had been it provided excellent value.
The castle of Piereffonds is a lovely place to visit but be warned, at the moment they are filming the tv series 'Merlin' it is fascinating to watch the actual filming and see the actors but some parts of the castle are out of bounds whilst the filming is taking place and with all of their TV equipment around the place it looks a little cluttered.
We all enjoyed the journey along Le Chemin Des Dames, with visits to the Cavern de Dragon, the ladies at the reception organised a special tour for us in English which was greatly appreciated, and it helped us to understand more fully horrors of many wars that have occurred along this ridge. Don't miss the small walk around the now non existent town of Craonne, the Abbaye de Vauclair and the Fort de Conde, all fascinating places in their own way.
We love this area and will very certainly visit again.

We have visited this site loads of times its an excellent site the toilet blocks in the park area are a bit old. The campsite is very big. Its a good stop for the port. There is not much around. You have to use the car. Great if you have youngsters as you would not need to leave the site. Disney near by but the camp has its own coach which does trips to disney and Paris. Well worth a visit

Took our Khyam Ultimate and Khyam Gazebo to this site during May half term. We liked the site - for older pre-teens there is loads to do and you don't really need to leave site as there is a good shop, take away, restaurant and bar. Toilets and showers were very clean and warm. Washing up areas also great. It is not a peaceful site. There are lots of tour operators and lots of Brits - doesn't bother us but may bother others. Can walk to local village with a few shops and bars and market. Inter Marche close by too. Very easy drive from channel ports and ideal for a one week break. Enjoyed trip to park asterisk.

We stayed in our own tent for a week in the area of the campsite called 'Le Parc' which is basically the overflow area used in Summer. The pitch was nice and large and right next to the river and had sufficient hook-ups (continental connection so take an adapter as the campsite shop charges 30 euros).
Our only complaint about this camping area was the toilets which comprised a two toilet block that seemed to be rarely cleaned and consequently wet, muddy and smelly. Other toilet blocks on the site seemed fine so maybe this was s result of this end of the sight being out of sight/out of mind to the cleaners.
Site itself is very large and long, so bit of a trek from the 'parc' to the lakes but still only a few minutes walk (shame on those people we saw driving up there!).
Owners of site very friendly and helpful and a lot of facilities as already mentioned. The trips from the campsite to Disneyland and Paris are very popular so book as soon as you arrive. I worked out that for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) it worked out cheaper to use the campsite trip to go to Paris (compared to train from Soissons) but for Disneyland it was dearer than going by car.
Only other thing worth mentioning which is a positive or negative depending on what you want from your stay here, is that the site is pretty much exclusively set up to cater for english people who are the majority of people here. Consequently it feels at times as though you could be camping anywhere on the south coast of england - great if that's what you want, but probably to be avoided if it's a taste of france you're after.

Lovely. Really good site. Quite large with really good facilities for children. The lakes were wonderful for younger children and the fishing lake was a real plus. A site next to the lake is highly recommended. The toilets were immaculate and the staff were extremely helpful. The grounds are well maintained. Overall, would highly recommend this site.

The site is huge. There are heated wash/toilet blocks. Restaurant on site, bakery, shop next door plus a souvenir shop on site. There is a good size play area for children. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Fishing lakes, archery, etc. The pitches are huge and there are also chalets to rent if you don't fancy taking your tent or tourer. The restaurant is fantastic the food is lovely and the service is brilliant too. The bar is next door to the restaurant and also has toilet facilities. During the day there is a pizza take-away on site. You can buy tokens for the washing machines and tumble driers and you can also purchase washing powder if needed. There is also a coach service from the site that takes you to various locations depending on the time of year.
