This site should definitely get ten out of ten. One of the nicest sites I have stayed on in many years of camping. Beautifully clean amazing floral displays. Fantastic surroundings. Friendly helpful owner. Nothing is too much trouble. We were almost put off visiting this site on reading a review which stated that the toilets were inadequate with poor drainage system. While we were there over a weekend the site was practically full but we never had to wait for toilets or showers. There is also a modern disabled toilet block. They were kept beautifully clean. The local town is only a ten minute walk away and offers several pubs, a nice hotel public bar, two chip shops, banks, cafes. A assortment of shops and a lovely riverside walk and tea rooms. A short walk through the rally field is the petrol station which sells milk, bread etc for any last minuet needs. If you don't have a long enough tv cable you can hire one from the owners for a small deposit. BBQ stands also. This is one we cant wait to visit again and would definitely recommend a stay here

Stayed at bodnant for 3 weeks. Nice site but.
On arrival NO designated area for new arrivals. No visible signs for directions to reception area either, not what you need after towing for 6 hours in the pouring rain.
Eventually found the office, only to be greeted by 2 large very wet dogs, and NOT made to feel very welcome at all.
Shower blocks. Poor. Only 2 female and 2 male showers for the whole site. Clean but very basic, no proper shower doors, only plastic curtains, which were not wide enough. So every 1 else got a 'bird eye view', no shelves to put toiletries on either, very unusual drainage system! all dirty shower water ran into the middle of the main area where the sinks were located, we have been caravanning for 30 yrs, and have never seen this before.
This could be a lovely site, if only these above problems could be addressed.

A wonderful campsite with nothing at all to find fault with. The very friendly, helpful and hard-working owners should be very proud of this wonderful site. I have never seen such a wonderful display of flowers - in wheelbarrows, baskets and tubs. The site was extremely well looked after with tables and chairs for campers use. The pitches were open, sunny and of very generous proportions on flat ground. Although it was August the site felt very spacious and our area quite private. We were pitched next to the field containing an amazing collection of farm animals -sheep, ducks, geese, guinea fowl.
The toilet block was always clean and there was always toilet paper and soap provided.
We were walking in the mountains and found it a very good base for our excursions. The site is also within 5 minutes' walking distance of the town of Llanrwst where there are shops, cafes etc. And a very useful launderette.
We certainly hope to stay on the site again next year and would heartily recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic site cannot compliment it enough. We stayed for a week arrived early afternoon to be met by the owners who are very friendly easy to pitch up very busy site but its spread out just right so doesn't feel overcrowded. Grass or hardstanding. Toilet blocks and showers clean and very well maintained. The site is immaculate with lovely flower designs throughout the site. Camping in a separate field all pitches have good views. Highly recommend. We had our 3 children walked into the town most days only a short walk enjoyed the summer nights with a few drinks at the Eagle Hotel which was very nice. The town is small has a market one day a week. Has all the shops you need and is children friendly as is the site. The site has a area for kids to play no swings etc but a long stretch of grassed area to stop other users being disturbed which I think is a good idea. Already planning to go again.

As other reviews have said this campsite is really well maintained. We had a really nice few days here. Yes the toilet block is a little dated, and may not meet your interior designer standards - but it was spotlessly clean and the hot water was plentiful and free, in fact it was too hot really and cant be adjusted, but that is a very minor gripe. The dog walk is OK for first/last visits - but we found the river walk down in the village was great for a run.
The site is a mix of grass and hardstanding - we had a grass pitch which had ehu, tap, grey waste and ariel point all available. The site is quite level with excellent views. There is a recycling area for waste and a toilet disposal point.
The site is well signed off the Betws-y-Coed road. However do watch out for the entry just opposite the sports centre - it can be obscured by parked vehicles and we saw one unit miss the entry.
We travel with two small dogs and with the heat were unable to leave them in the car - so if you are going to Bodnant Gardens or want to go up Snowden beware as dogs are not allowed in either place. Also beware as the railway up Snowden is £27 for adults and £18 for children - and you need to book in advance as when we were there the only trains that were available were after 4. 30pm - and the cloud cover tends to come over in the afternoon. We did go on the lake steam train which was much better value and took dogs - it also stops off at a picnic site and the slate museum. The car park near the Electric Mountain has some shaded areas which was good for the dogs, and also seemed quieter - and cheaper -than the one opposite the Snowden railway.
We also went to Conwy - where there are a number of cafes which had outside areas that allowed dogs. Our two also enjoyed the half-hour river trip. On the way back to the site we called in at the Welsh Food Centre - be careful you can get carried away in here and the pricing is not always clear - but it was excellent quality as is the ice-cream. There is the National Bee Centre here which have displays Thurs-Sun and a restaurant and café which looked quite nice.
Sadly we feel we must revisit this site to do all the things we were going to do - but couldn't because it was too hot!

Been here before. Great site, lovely owners who make you most welcome. Huge pitch size, worth paying extra for hardstanding which includes water and waste + TV point. Facilities are limited but 100% spotlessly clean. Short walk to the village which offer great food / coffee shops, take a ways and pubs. Ideal base to visit many areas of North Wales and the coast. Very rural site very relaxing. Highly recommended. See you next year.

This is a fantastic site with something for everyone, for tourers grass or hardstanding, tent pitches and two statics to hire as well as a field for rallies. The site is very pretty, flowers colourfully abound, this creates a great atmosphere to the site set in the rolling green hills of the Conwy valley.
There is electric hook up, waste and tap for each pitch. The showers and toilets are very eigthties with additional facilities for disabled all very clean and tidy.
There are many attractions nearby and the town is within easy walking distance about half a mile with many olde inns, friendly pubs, cafes, tea rooms, restaurants, takeaways and chippys, along with at least two supermarkets. There is also easy access to a riverside walk which we enjoyed.

We have just got back from 4 nights at Bodnant. Can't find a single fault other than the main toilet block needs updating - or they need a new shower block. It was quiet whilst we were there though and we used the disabled as a 'family' shower room which worked great for us and 2 small children.
The site is very well kept, very peaceful and quiet. There is a caravan rally field next to the camping field and we were slightly anxious as we saw 20+ caravans turning up for a rally but to be fair, other than them filling up water we didn't notice them.
The area itself is lovely, a Spar just down the road, a fantastic river which the kids spent hours playing in and one of the best fish and chip shops I've ever used.
I have marked it down every so slightly on child friendliness as ours were the only kids on the site - much to my sons disappointment! The farmer was very nice to them but there is nothing really there for kids other than an empty field.

Myself & my wife have just had 5 nights at Bodnant, a truly excellent site, the way they should be. The hard standing pitch included fresh water, electric, waste water & ariel hook. There are several eating & watering holes in Llanwrst all worth a visit. A variety of local shops including coop & spar. Good walks round the lakes between Llanwrst & Betws-y-Coed & mountain bike tracks in the local forest, good location for Snowdon & the coast. Only criticism the showers a bit on the cool side. There are good recycling facilities, only let down by some residents who just will not recycle. The site is immaculately kept. Will use this site again.

When arriving at Bodnant its obvious to see the owners seem to spend all their time maintaining the site and what wonderful job they do. We were in the caravan section it was around 50% full and very quiet.
Our hard standing pitch had its own tap and grey waste.
The toilet block was spotless, a little cramped in the shower cubicles and perhaps needs updating. There is also a disabled block, again spotless.
Good size Co-op food store in Llanrwst and the nearest Tesco’s just off A55 @ Llandudno Jn
