Great location, fantastic scenery, exceptionally clean, beautiful campsite with generous pitches most of which had EHU. We loved it that much that we've returned twice already & plan to go again.
The field adjacent to the tent field is home to a variety of different animals including sheep, turkeys, ducks, chickens, guinea fowl and friendly sheep dogs. Our children aged 3 & 4 loved feeding bread to the animals and didn't want to go home
- 'Can we stay here forever!' I was tempted!
The site is a real credit to the friendly owners.

Superb, clean, efficient, absolutely beautiful. This is probably the best site we have stayed on. We had a full facility pitch with electric ,water, waste water and T.V which was a real treat. It is so pretty with all the flowers and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The site is very well situated for visiting the attractions of north Wales. Llandudno and Blaenau Ffestiniog can be reached by train from Llanwrst.

The perfect compromise between accessibility, facilities and tranquility. Relaxed atmosphere enhancing the experience of staying in such a breath taking environment. I cannot imagine the proprietor considers running the place a job. Although it probably has its moments. The generous pitches are enhanced by a manicured site with imaginative planting. Thirty meters the longest walk to the toilets and showers, which was handy as our legs were paralized after our jaunt up Tryfan.
As soon as we left we were looking forward to our next return.

We stayed at Bodnant for a weeks holiday, the surrounding area was stunning with lots to do, beaches (visit Black Rock Sands near Porthmadog - brill!), castles, mountains and we found Bodnant Campsite ideal as it was central to everything. The local town of Llanrwst was a ten minute walk with restaurants and shops a plenty.
First immpressions last; the site is immaculate, it is maintained beautifully, a real sight to see and a credit to the gardener!
The only downside were the old fashioned showers, it wasn't pleasant trying to get dressed with your bottom sticking out through a curtain, they desperately need modernising.
The dog walking area was adequate and secure albeit a bit small, as was the childrens play 'field'. Everytime they tried to play ball it went over into the next field and was no more than useless. As a base for a great adventure in Wales, Bodnant is lovely, we would probably return just for the sheer beauty of the site (when they have put in new showers though!)
Over all, a lovely holiday!

We came to this site after a longish day driving from Shell Island to Snowdonia, Caernarfon and around, we had wanted something quite isolated but had come too far down off the mountains into Bettws-y-Coed ('Betsy Co-ed' to us!) and didn't have the energy to go back. So we headed north out of that town to Llanrwsst. I felt some trepidation as we approached; it seemed very much 'in the town', (opposite the leisure centre) and that was not what we wanted at all - BUT - into the park and my fears were eased. The beautifully landscaped park gave an immediate sense of tranquility which even the traffic from the busy road nearby couldn't quite spoil (we arrived at 5pm - rush hour). The lady owner invited me into her cosy farmhouse to pay for the night's stay and said we could camp in any part of the park we liked. We opted for pitch number 4 and once we had set up and were relaxing with a glass of the inevitable red wine found ourselves being befriended by a pair of robins before being approached by three hungry ducks who took food straight from our hands!
Prior to this we had used the facilities and I have to say I was very impressed - spotlessly clean and - yay! - free showers. Apart from the main block there is also a very newish looking mini block containing brand new facilities (loo and shower, one each for male and female) and from memory I believe these had disabled access.
As the sunny evening progressed the traffic on the main road eased and we sat outside until twilight, unable to believe we had found such a countrified site so near to a town centre (less than half a mile?). The owner is to be congratulated on her achievement, and I would recommend this site without hesitation.
There is a tent field as well as the caravan hook-up area; it was pleasing to note that motorcycling campers were welcome.

We stayed here for 4 nights. 360degree stunning views! The caravan area was full, and the manager kindly let us stay in the tent area. An excellent site, and even though there were only 2 showers we didn't have to queue, though I imagine if the tent area was also full it would have been a different matter! The facillities were always spotlessly clean, the flower tubs decorating the site were a riot of colour, the grounds kept beautifully! The site is well placed to visit areas of interest, and there were plenty of information leaflets on site.
We would certainly return to this site!

Hi me and my husband have stayed at this beautiful site many times through 2007. Starting in april through to july every fortnight as thats our shift pattern from work. This is one off our favorite sites. Its manacured is the term we use to a high stardard. There are planters and wheel barrows planted up all around the site. Filled with an abundance off flowers. And all the plants and shrub life has been planted and thought about. To give everyone something beautiful to look at all around you weather it be tent or caravan you are in its all lovely the pitches are set out on good cared for level ground some electric and some non ehu. All fantastic. All facilities are spotless at all times.Ladies showers are lovely little chairs next wash basins nice touch I think. Only 2 ladies showers but its never a problem. And a I asume 2 gents hubby says they are spotless and never had to wait. And there is also a disabled one. Dish washing area under cover 3 sinks imaculate all the time. Sponges and clothes always there available if needed. No laundry but who cares its got no other negative points at all the owners are nice people also. There home is on site and it fabulous. The area is very good its a good base for snowdon betsycoed and such. We found it hard to book other sites we started calling it our second home. Well done to this site we no we will return time after time

Just returned from this site. As everyone says, set in a lovely area and an abundance of flowers all round the caravan field, very picturesque. As most people say though, the shower and toilet block do need to be brought up to date, they are not very adequate for the number of caravans and tents using the site.

My wife and I stayed during the very wet last fortnight of June, though that is not a reflection on the site or the owners; merely our bad luck. The site drained extremely well, and there were no signs of anyone getting bogged in. The toilet and shower blocks, although somewhat old-fashioned, were spotlessly clean, and the showers were free. Bodnant is the loveliest site I have ever seen - no wonder it has won so many awards! The dog walking area was a little short, but at least provision was made, and a bin provided for dogs' waste bags. Although there was no children's play park, there was a small field set aside for children to play in. I would not hesitate to recommend this site to anyone.

Wonderful site, especially for first time campers. Although next to a modern housing estate, you won't feel you are. It's more a village than a town and certainly no urban noise, apart from distant traffic on the main route.
There is one large caravan Park, 1 Paddock for EHU tents and a Paddock for non EHU tents (about 6 spaces) with park benches to eat on. There is a 6m by 6m restriction for a tent. It is also very open, so if there is wind, best to peg the tent down before standing it up! Very peaceful site, though with 3 fences of evenly spaced pitches, so would never get overcrowded.
There is a beautiful large mountain of fir trees as a backdrop which shines all colours of green in the evening sun and woody trees all around the site, thus isolating you from any trace of urban life.
Facilities are within 100 yards of the tents. There are sinks for washing, toilets (2 showers in each - rather basic curtain for privacy; Disposal facilities: 1 Toilet+door and 1 Gulley+Shower rinse, behind a curtain. Regularly cleaned. Shops within walking distance. Everything else - would need a car.
Very pleasant site, almost like being in a botanical garden! The facilities are very clean and well maintained. There is a play field for children, although it is rather narrow and with caravans on the other side of the fence, it makes ball games like tennis and Frisbees rather difficult.
Owners are keen to keep the site controlled and enjoyable; during our stay, we had one group of 2 lads camping on the site, who became loud and were using bad language at 1.30am - they were right next to a family with a small child. Owner only allowed them one night stay to see how they got on and following a complaint, refused to allow them to stay a second night.
The owners do take a pride in the site and care about your enjoyment. Well worth the 4 stars I noted on the C&CC sign, on the way in.
NOTE: This is a working farm, so there are hens and geese roaming near the non-EHU paddock during the day, while this is great for children to feed them, the downside is that you will get cockerels crowing at 5.00am and geese at 5.30am! It didn't bother me, though.
Would recommend the site, but there may not be a lot for young children to do.
