This was our 4th time staying here and yet again we weren't disappointed.
I asked specifically for our favourite pitch when I booked it online and was pleased to find that I'd been given this on arrival. The restaurant is popular and reasonably priced - so, as others have said, you need to book in advance. It hasn't changed its Menu the whole time we've been coming here - and I don't think the prices have changed either!
Staff in the restaurant are lovely and helpful and the service is quick too. Its only open for a few hours each day - but definitely worth a visit.
The campsite itself has lots to do if you want to 'do' stuff - but is also perfect for kicking back and doing very little.
Pitch sizes are great - plenty of room for a caravan, awning, car and to set up a little badminton net or swing ball. Hook ups work perfectly fine too. The toilet/cleaning blocks are always clean - they seem to be checked and cleaned at least 3 times a day. Showers are warm/hot and there is a good 'dishwashing' area in both toilet blocks too.
There's also a little launderette at the top washing block.
The pools and tennis courts are well maintained and there are several table tennis tables and a boules area too.
Perhaps one of the main reasons we return here - aside from the loveliness of the actual site - is the staff who run the place. Olivier (the owner) is always around and seems to do anything and everything around the site. Julian - who has worked there for a few years now - is amazing. Really helps the guests out - even loaned his car to a couple we were chatting to who had broken down and needed to get to the bank!
We've left our caravan over there for 50€ a month in a little storage area and will collect it at the end of the season - or might pop back for a weekend!
There are quite a few '2 night stop' families - but we've found that with all the activities - local markets, water park in Le Touquet, trip to St Omer, the lovely beaches at Calais, the WW2 locations, cite europe, that there is plenty to do in the area. It isn't the cheapest of places - 11 nights - for a caravan, elec, 2 ad and a child - 440€ - but definitely worth the money!

We have stayed here 5 times now and it never dissapoints. The whole place has a lovely feeling, lots of greeney and lush grass. The pool is great, though the big one is unheated. The restaurant also good, but you need to book. This time we just has food from the take away menu and it was great, washed down with a carafe of rose´.
There's a supoer market down the road, wonderful bread from 8-9am baked locally. And visit the Blockhaus if you can, an amazing WW2 site, 150 m down the road.
Also it's just 35 minutes up the road to Calais.
Great site, well worth a visit

We use this site year after year. Overnight on our first day and 3 or 4 days coming back as we visit uncle's grave near to Armentieres, and like visiting other WW1 sites. The amenities on this site are second to none. The owners do everything in their power to help you. We have been on various pitches around the site, and each one has been brilliant. There is no shop, but there is a supermarket just 5 mins down the road (turn left out of the campsite, and drive to the roundabout and go straight across), this is also the nearest petrol station. The takeaway and restaurant are great. When you arrive to book in, and you wish to use the restaurant, book a table as it does get full and you do have to wait if you don't book. Toilets are clean and well cared for. This is a large site, but because of all the trees, etc, it doesn't feel it.

We really like Gandspette, especially the rabbits and have stayed a few times.
Lovely grounds, lots of trees & wonderfully clean shower blocks
Last time had a takeaway burger & chips, as the restaurant was full - make sure you reserve a table!
But I don't think we will go again. The only reason is price. €34. 70 for a campervan, 2 adults & one 17 year old, without electric is more than we want to pay for a quick overnight stop.
But it still is a lovely site and we would recommend.

We stayed at this site for 4 nights on our way back from a tour around France and Switzerland before heading back home through the Tunnel which is only about 30 kms away. Very popular with the British and the Dutch and access from the A26 Motorway is relatively straightforward (about 6km). The site access road is on a corner so whichever way you approach this site slow down when you are near the entrance or you could miss it. Staff on the reception are polite and pleasant and the booking in process is straightforward.
The pitches are of a good size but most are sloping so you may want to use levelling blocks. Another point to note is that after heavy rain the pitches become very muddy and you will notice that some of them have a plastic mesh under the surface to assist you getting on and off if this arises. We were allocated Pitch 28 and when we arrived it was 34c so no problems at this point with mud but we had difficulty getting our caravan under the trees in front of the pitch. We mentioned this at reception later and someone came along and cut some branches down for us before we left although in our view not enough. We noted this as a general problem around the site so if you have difficulty getting on or off ask at reception as we did. After a couple of days we had a big thunderstorm and our pitch flooded because of the way it sloped off the gravel road so keep this in mind if you are allocated Pitch 28.
The Sanitary Block near our pitch was clean and tidy. There are two pools on site and a restaurant but we did not use these so cannot comment but they looked OK. There is a Carrefour Supermarket down the road on the other side of the roundabout for your shopping.
Leaving the site can also be a bit tricky because as previously mentioned the entrance is on a corner and when leaving you cannot see traffic approaching from either direction so take great care. A road mirror opposite would help.
This site is ideally located for visiting Blockhaus a World War Two site used by the Nazis to build and launch V1 & V2 rockets on England. There is another one near St. Omer called La Coupole. You can also visit the Opal Coast and the Two Capes Sites Gris Nez and Blanc Nez.
This site is handy for a stopover to or from the Channel crossings or for a short break but personally we will be trying other sites in this locality.

We have stayed here before going further into France or Germany for the past 7 years and because of the location and the friendly, helpful owners we would not consider stopping anywhere else. When the car broke down on the way here 2 years ago, the owners were extremely helpful and towed the caravan on to an excellent pitch for us and also helped interpret for the breakdown vehicle driver.
We usually stay 4 nights on the way back to Zeebrugge ferry and eat in the restaurant, finding the food to be very good and well cooked - always look forward to a casserole after 2 weeks of salad & bbq's!
The pitches although sloping are a very good size and we haven't experienced any of the problems previously reported. We have found the sanitary block to be very clean and always lots of hot water.
Look forward to a few days of peace and quiet before the journey home to Aberdeen again next year.

We decided at short notice to use this site as a stopover on the way to Calais, and booked it for two nights by phone on our way. The receptionist spoke English and took our booking without a deposit. The site was easy to find just outside of St Omer and 35 - 40 minutes away from the ferry port. The receptionist dealt with our arrival swiftly and we were pitched up in a few minutes. Not much local information was provided but the reception area had lots of leaflets. No shop but a bar/restaurant with a reasonable selection of food, plus a takeaway were right by reception. The site itself is very spacious and on arrival you are met by the sight of the Chateau overlooking the park. Some pitches have hedges while others are open plan, and reasonably level, with solid bases through which grass can grow, so it looks very green. Electric but no water point at our pitch, at 32 euros this is unusual. The toilet blocks are excellent and very clean, but no hot water at the sink I used which seemed odd. The site has a central play area and a separate tennis court, two outdoor pools and when we visited a bouncy castle. Nearby less than a mile I would say, is a Carrefour market, so handy for provisions, not much else in the vicinity. In just two days it is hard to say too much but it is a site we would possibly use again even if only as a stopover.

We've visited this campsite many times over the last ten years and it's always been good value for a stopover or longer stay. The staff are accommodating if we arrive very late off a late ferry (after 10 this time) and the facilities are always clean. When we've stayed longer we've found plenty to do in the surrounding area - although you do have to go and look for it. The restaurant and bar are great, they seem to be very family friendly too but we've never tested this out!

Positives
Check in very quick and efficient
Pitch a good size, very sloping, levelling blocks required
Sanitary facilities excellent, very clean and plentiful hot water.
There are two pools, one heated ( manic & standing room only) one unheated and much larger, thus far quieter.
Extensive children's play area, deserted during the day.
Negatives
No shop, but there is a supermarket near by
Gangs of twenty somethings wandering around the site, lingering by cars and outfits.
Footballs flying ( one off our neighbours car)
Childrens play area becomes a teenage hang out and a scream zone until 2345 the evening we were there.
In short a busy site, but too noisy & not keen on the gangs of youths, such a shame as everything else is great

We have stopped at this site many times over the years, once for a week, but mainly for overnight stops on the way home.
The site is beautiful, and the facilities fairly good.
But on the way home from Spain when we stopped there in August, It appears that the usually good on-site restaurant has dropped its usually good standards.
I do not want to sit in the conservatory with all the other Brits, I want to eat by the log fire near the bar - but I wasn't allowed to, even though I had booked in to the restaurant.
I also objected to finding a long hair in my scallops, and I didn't even get an apology!
'Manners maketh the man' so I was taught, it appears that this site thinks differently.
I hope that this glitch was a one-off
