We, along with many others, arrived on spec wanting an overnight stop before getting up early-ish for tunnel the next day. We had some problems finding the site due to the postcode not being quite accurate from the Michelin guide.
Yes it is pricy but we had paid a similar price for 'an overnighter' with an much much inferior site the night before. So we didn't quibble. Also due to the fab weather the kids had great fun in the heated pool for a couple of hours so the extra paid was worth it. (the unheated pool naturally was less crowded!)
Toilet facilities were very good and no complaints here. I apologise for my daughter hogging the showers for an inordinant long time but fortunately it seemed to be a quiet time so I hope none were inconvenienced!
Take away food was fine, prices seemed usual. We didn't use the bar- it did seem as though that this is does get busy with families and groups but we weren't bothered about any noise. Just one thing though, if I had been wanting a lie in I probably would be cursing the bread wagon for pipping his horn at 9am! Never actually saw it though otherwise we wouldve partaken.
We would definitely use and recommend this site again

We called in here after making good time for the return to Dover the next day. After recovering from the shock of the price, 29 euros for one night, given that we were typically paying no more than 15 euros prior to this, we were shown to a spacious grass pitch. I suppose I should not have been surprised by the price as this is fairly typical of these type of commercial sites and it has to be put into perspective that this equates to about £23 which you could easily pay in the UK at peak period. I can not really fault the site, the facilities were modern and clean and there was a designated motorhome service point. The hot water in the morning for the showers was close to being lukewarm, in comparison to my previous site at St Florentin, where I paid 12 euros and the water was scalding. The site appears to be popular with the Brits and is ideally sited for the channel ports, particularly Dunkirk. It does provide entertainment for the kids and there is a complex of pools together with restaurant and bars, but not cheap. A baker's van comes around in the morning. There is also a supermarket within 15 minutes. We used the opportunity to visit the WW2 V2 blockhouse which is within 10minutes cycling distance. Would I stay here again, at 29 euros, the answer is no but it does participate in the Camping Cheque scheme where you pay 15 euros in the low season and at this price I would stay.

Stayed here a couple of years ago, so decided to stay again for the last 2 nights of our holiday.
I was surprised to find hardly half full, even though weather was good. Pitches are a good size with tap and toilets/showers very good.
However perhaps lack of customers was down to price - €72 for 2 nights (3 people & elec). Also I thought the bar was expensive €6 for a fanta & half litre of larger.
Kids were running round the perimeter shouting and screaming until 10pm which was rather annoying. I know this can happen anywhere, but I didn't expect it from this site which has had such good reviews in the past.
That said, it is a lovely site and the staff are very friendly. But I don't think we'll stay again due to the price.

My wife, me and the dog) stayed at this campsite on our very first motorhome experience last year on our way into France.
The experience last year was so good, that we opted to stay again this year for two nights on our way back from France. On arrival it was pouring down, but we where greeted very well by a pleasant english speaking woman. Nothing out of the ordinary very good modern toilet blocks, good pitches.
However this time we didn't see much of the site and had to leave early. We couldn't leave a message as the reception wasn't open, but the reason for us having to forgo our second day which we paid for and may be something others want to think about is on arrival around 3 0'clock in the afternoon loud booms and I mean loud bangs where coming from an what I think was an adjacent field, these continued into the night and into the early morning (I guess 2 AM) apart from the obvious sleeping thing, our poor dog was having a nightmare and in a fugue state shaking and panting to an unacceptable level.
I think it was one the farmers and couldn't see the camp site being involved - but whatever the cause it was consistent and not acceptable - so the warning is if you have a pet or yourself who reacts to very (and I mean very) loud bangs then ask first - these happened on the day and night of the 7th and 8th June. I'm sure others will have heard them. My ratings therefore are based on not seeing much of the site or the area.

Great site for travelling to and from ports
Booked for one night but arrived a night early, no problem with staying for the extra night. Pitches very wet due to rain but site staff tried hard to give a pitch that we could get on and off without difficulty. Facilities were fine, a modern toilet block at one end, older one at the other. There was a pool which looked nice but we did not use. Quiet at night despite being quite full.
Good supermarket very close and hypermarket only 15mins away.
Will be using again

This is a good quality, relaxed site which we have used twice this year for stopovers, late August when we paid around 33 euros which we felt was expensive and again late September when we used camping cheque and paid a much more reasonable 15 euros [2 adults, 2 dogs].
There is a wide range of facilities all of which are well maintained and the shower block was extremely clean. Our pitch was slightly on a slope but generous in size. Wi-Fi is prohibitively expensive. Plenty of children's' activities.
There is a very good vet in nearby Ardres which we have used several times. We took a trip to the lovely beach at Wissant which was around 20miles away but excellent for the dogs to let off steam. On site there is just a smallish woodland walk for the dogs.
We did find the roadworks near the site rather tiresome as it meant quite a lengthy diversion and have decided that next time we will stay at La Bien Assise at Guines purely because the site is more handy for the port/vet/beach.
Would have no hesitation in recommending the site.

Stayed here overnight on our way home and used a Camping Cheque. Nice overall site, easy check in. Did not need to book this time of year as plenty of free pitches. Lovely setting and only 20 minutes on a direct route to Dunkirk ferry port. This was a low season stopover, but restaurant still open, which is a bonus as most campsite restaurants tend to be closed at this time of year. Good showers/loos/washing up facilities and washing machines. Plenty of hot water. We had pitch 36 which was slightly sloping and very spacious, next to two pitches which were static caravans. A bit pricey for September at around 22 Euros per night for 2 people with electric, but cheaper with camping cheques 15 Euros.

We only stayed at this site for one night this time on our way back to the port This is a really lovely site, with friendly owners. A very clean and very modern wash block with all the usual facilities. The bar and restaurant is very homely and comfortable with a log fire and good waitress service. The food is all local fare, traditional tasty northern French food. We had the beef flamande carbonade which is peculiar to the region and it was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this site, we use it as a quick weekend getaway and as a last stop before home on our main holiday. We like to have 2 or 3 days there if we can.

Spent 3 nights at this site. We were allocated our pitch on arrival and followed the young lad on his bike to our pitch. The site isn't level so had to face the van side on.
There are 2 shower blocks on site which seem to be new. They were very clean (in fact immaculate). There was plenty of warm water for washing and showers.
The site itself is well maintained and the swimming pools were very clean. Although there is a sign prohibiting the use of trunks all the men were wearing them.
Only able to locate the rubbish bins in the middle of the site, ok for us, but could be some distance away if sited elsewhere on site
Although there isn't a shop on site the bar was a welcome relief and there is a shop about 1 mile away.
Perfect distance from the ports and for visits to WW1 cemeteries.
Every morning the bread van arrived at 08:00 till 09:00 which was announced by its horn.
Great site, thoroughly recommended, will definitely use again.
