 Dear fellow campers.

Our family have just returned to the UK after spending 5 nights in Pors peron which was a birthday treat from my partner to myself. We went with our 5 year old son.

Well 10 out of 10 for this site.

Graham & Nikky have created a fantastic camping site. Read on to see why.

There are separate male/female showers with the addition of an unisex block. All kept spotless through the day.

The washing facilities for dishes is well placed so you can wash your dishes whilst your little ones play in the play area.

Tent pitches are fairly level and screened with hedging.

The beach pors peron is 300 mtrs away! There is a walk along the cliff face too, for stunning views.

Eating out& shopping;

Pont croix 10 min by car for the local store all that you're need and fuel too, carry on to Audierne for stunning views and fantastic sea food.

So all in all. Top site, clean, friendly hosts, lots to do, lots to see.

Please don't make our mistake. Please take advantage of the ferry offer pors peron gives, We drove from calais to pors peron taking this route is very long. You're be on the road for 10 hours or more with apx €30 in tolls. St Malo the best bet.

Hope this is of help. Enjoy this great place.

DGS The Family.

 This is an excellent campsite.

Pitches are genorous enough for your van, awning and car with room to spare. Shower and WC facilities are really well maintained and never crowded. There is also a very good wash up area, children's playground and a shop for essentials.

We visited local towns of Pont Croix, Audierne and Douarnenez which all have their own charms.

The beach which is close by is fantastic for bodyboarding, swimming and kayaking!

We will definitely be back next year.

If I had to pick one bad point it is the fact that although advertised, the free WIFI is not great at all and of negligible benefit but it wasn't really an issue.

Well what can I say that has not already been said, I know fantastic, outstanding this site is a little gem and run by people who care about your stay being as good as possible.

The site has pitches to suit all your needs large/small sun/shade open/private, the toilet block is new and kept very clean by hard working staff. When we stayed it was still low season, so very quiet, but that's how we like it. The surrounding area is full of sandy beaches and ports that take some beating for scenic views, a short walk out of the site and you are on the coastal path with great views across to the Crozon peninsula which is worth a visit for a day out.

Thanks to all involved for making our stay so memorable we will return P&C.

It is July 2nd, I am sat in glorious sunshine, all I can hear is birds and the distant sound of waves on the shore, bliss. Wow what a fantastic site this is. So well cared for, facilities new last year and kept so clean and tidy, pitches big and well manicured (but still natural looking), small shop for bits and bobs at reception together with daily bread/croissant ordering service and children's play area includes an enclosed trampoline, a great success with all. Free Wifi is available on all pitches throughout the site. The owners Graham and Nikki are a delight and go the extra mile to help those in need.

Unbelievably if you are Acsi card users all this is available to you for 12 euros a night including electricity.

The surrounding area is naturally beautiful with a small idyllic cove 250 mts walk away with a small cafe in the summer and loos available too. Great for swimming. Lots of pretty villages and harbours to visit and a fab cliff walk too.

Big supermarket shopping and fuel is about 15 min drive away.

Will I be back. Oh yes. If I was able to score it at 11 out of 10 I would.

Firstly a big thank to Nikki and Graham for a very warm welcome. This is a brilliant site whether touring or hiring a static. Pitches are a very generous size, toilets, showers, dish washing facilities spotlessly clean. The statics we stayed in again immaculate, every thing was there from a corkscrew to sheets etc. Lots of information available for the surrounding area. This site is a must to visit. Thank you.

I can only echo previous reviews. A great site with spacious pitches nicely hedged. The owners were very welcoming and kept everywhere spotless good toilet block and free WiFi. The area is quite rural being in the far south West but with great walks and the nearby beach looks great. We really only scratched the surface so we are planning to go back next summer.

Loved this site for our first time in France. Pitches are large and sheltered by mature hedges, we were invited to chose our own so we selected one right at the top of the site by the very quiet road, a lovely sunny spot. Great facilities, very clean spacious showers, great outdoor washing up sinks.

The owners are fantastic hosts ( we called in the shop for eggs one day, to find the last box had just been sold, a few minutes later Graham appeared at our van with 4 eggs which I'm sure we're from his own kitchen! Fantastic service, thank you Graham!)

What a wonderful campsite in a beautiful setting! My husband and I camped with our 3 and 1 year olds so didn't want to travel too far from the ferry port. We were given a beautiful plot (but given the option of choosing another one if we wanted) large, with private hedging around, shaded and sunny areas. A quiet and peaceful site (we didn't want to go to a typical French Eurocamp type site). Good community feel and all of the children played together. Our children constantly wanted to play in the playground or on bikes - it felt very safe. Very friendly owners. Spotlessly clean modern facilities, always plenty of (free) hot water. Lovely fresh bread/croissants every morning and good basic shop facilities/ability to freeze ice packs. Lovely beach a short walk away. We hired bikes - of good quality and child seat and trailer available. Pretty surrounding towns and harbour to visit.

My son is still talking about his camping trip 9 months later -we will return!

 Highly Recommended.

The campsite is wonderfully situated a stones trow from a stunning little sandy cove, the owners are friendly and only too willing to help. The site it's self is very well shaded in the morning which was perfect for lying in the tent without being cooked by the early morning sun. There is the option to order fresh bread and pastries for breakfast which can be collected from reception the following morning. The shower and toilet block was immaculate and had hot water throughout the day meaning there is no mad rush for the hot water. There is a small park for the kids and a couple of trampolines which closed at 10pm leaving kids tired and the site nice and quiet for bed time. A lot of British camp sites have a lot to learn from this one.

We spent 11 nights on this site and can't recommend it highly enough. I could wax lyrical about it's virtues but will try and confine myself to the main high points:

1) Layout and pitches - the pitches are individual, separated by mature trees and hedges, giving a real feeling of privacy. The toilet block and play area are pretty much in the middle of the site meaning no-one has to walk far and you feel that the kids are safe

2) Washing facilities - these are stunning. The toilet block was apparently new at Easter and it is fantastic. If I wanted to be REALLY picky I would say the only thing it is lacking is a family room but the showers are big enough for one parent and small child. Love the fact that there are male/female facilities on one side and a unisex block on the other. Fantastic that there is also a laundry, outside shower, outside sinks for washing clothes as well as dishes. Plentiful hot water.

3) Cleanliness - the owners and their staff do an amazing job keeping it clear. We visited in high season and there were lots of small children (including our own) who aren't the best at keeping things tidy. The showers and toilets were always spotless. Around the park the grass was mown regularly and there are nice flowers.

4) Location - fabulous, with a short stroll downhill to a lovely beach (although dragging small children back up the hill afterwards can be entertaining!). Lovely coastal walks and only 10 minutes drive from supermarkets and a couple of reasonable sized places. Also within easy reach of Quimper if you feel the need for a shopping trip (we didn't!).

5) Reception and shop - excellent. The shop could have more variety of stock but you can get the basics, there is plenty of local information available and Nicky and Graham are very helpful. Best of all is the fact that you can order bread, croissants etc to be delivered the next morning, and the regular visits of the crepe van during high season.

Around the area there are an amazing number of beautiful beaches, all slightly different. Good bodyboarding beaches at Penhors and Baie de Trepasse, good swimming beaches at Audierne and Treboul. Bar le Breton in Audierne does excellent seafood. The maritime museum in Douarnenez is worth a visit too. The area is culturally rich and we attended a couple of local festivals: one a heather festival and the other a Festival of the Sea. Both were wonderful experiences.

This site deserves to be hugely successful, Nicky and Graham work very hard and it shows. We rarely revisit sites but it will be hard not to come back here if we revisit Brittany. Everyone we met loved the site. One of the best sites we have ever stayed on.
