This is the perfect site for those who like to have English speaking wardens whilst abroad. The English couple who run this site have developed an excellent site with facilities for all the family maintained to very high standards. There is a shop at reception where you can order the usual baguette, croissants, etc. Also on site are the washroom block (UK 'style') and a playground for the children. There is also a motorhome service point.
All the pitches are well maintained and are of various sizes and the largest are capable of accommodating American RVs.
Just a short walk down from the site entrance is a lovely sandy and quiet bay with adjoining cliffs which have their amazing cliff-top footpaths. When we arrived at the beginning of July (2013) almost all of the campers were from England with one couple from Scotland. This gave the site a 'home from home' feel. Later in our stay there began the influx of the more usual mainland Europe campers.
You are close to the wonderful medieval town of Locronan where parking is suitable for motorhomes as well as for cars. The nearest large town (with hypermarket) is Douarnenez which has all the facilities of a large town.
We have used this campsite before and have every intention to visit it in the future.

We have just spent 10 days at this wonderful 'gem' of a campsite.
Nicky and Graham have a lovely site which is well looked after with spotless facilities.
We had 2 children aged 8 and 4 and they loved the little park and we always felt they were safe. I also liked the fact that at 10pm the park 'closed' and the campsite was quiet by 11pm which was just perfect and made getting the kids to bed so much easier.
Fantastic fresh baguettes and croissants each morning made for a lovely all fresco breakfast. The crepe van visits were looked forward to by all!
The beach within walking distance of the campsite is fabulous as are all the beaches around the area.
We had such a great time and were very sorry to leave!
Would really recommend this site.
Hope to return.

Just back from a fantastic two weeks in Brittany.
This was our first time we have taken our own tent to a site rather than using a pre-pitched tent and we are so glad we choose Camping Pors peron.
Nicky and Graham have a lovely site. Extremely clean, well laid out and quiet site. The toilet block is new, always clean and never short of soap, toilet paper etc.
The play area is great for kids of all ages and easily supervised.
The campsite shop is fully stocked with lovely croissants and bread delivered every morning.
The local area is fantastic for exploring and walking with great beaches.
Very impressed and can certainly recommend.

We booked this site in after seeing glowing reviews on here. Having had a long drive all the way from Calais we were delighted to find it was as nice as the reviews indicated.
The facilities are great and really well maintained, the owners helpful and knowledgeable and the beach that is 300 yards away gorgeous. We don't have kids but there was a really good play area and every time we passed it there were loads of ruddy faced kids seemingly having a whale of a time. That said the site was nice and quiet as the play area was well away from the pitches.
Would definitely recommend this site to anyone. And the price was very reasonable too.

Immediately made to feel welcome by the owners; surrounding countryside typically rural Brittany with small villages, attractive countryside and superb coastal locations; nearby beach is a little gem and safe for swimming; relaxing rural location, quiet but but not remote; and opportunity to explore many local locations and back for dinner!. Local shopping and markets within 20 minutes drive. All facilities on site a credit to the owners, who are a charming family. Highly recommended - hope it does not become too popular.

My wife and I took our caravan abroad for the first time recently staying at Camping Pors Peron from June 28th to July 12th. We were slightly apprehensive as to how we would get on but need not have feared, the site and the owners (Graham & Nikki) were excellent.
We were on pitch 33 which is quite near the children's play area but there was no noise disturbance, it was also relatively close to the spotlessly clean amenities block so we did not have far to walk for the facilities.
Graham and Nikki did everything required to make our stay enjoyable, Graham maintains the site while Nikki splits her time between being a mother of 3, running the reception and the small shop. Bread, rolls, milk and several other items can be purchased or ordered and a couple of times a week a crepe van comes to the site.
Everything about Camping Pors Peron is to be commended, it is clean, pleasant and located in a rural setting yet only 300 meters from a gorgeous beach. During our stay the sea was too boisterous for swimming but great fun for jumping the waves. There are lovely walks on the door step and just 3 miles away is the village of Pont Croix where there is a Post Office and small supermarket.
What we noticed was how clean and litter free everywhere was and the roads were significantly quieter than what we are used to here in the UK. 7 miles way is the harbour town Audierne with its beautiful beach, lovely creperies and tasty restaurants. We would particularly recommend Cafe au Quai (Fruits de la mer) and although the manager/owner seemed to have had a humour by-pass the food was good and the prices reasonable.
We were fortunate to have had hot weather for most of the time, 3 mornings were grey and misty and one day it rained heavily but otherwise it was cloudless sunshine. Quimper, Pont Aven, Benodet and Locronan are all worth visiting but best of all was just walking down the hill to the local beach.
We wish Graham & Nikki every success and hope one day to return to their site. Chatting to a couple on the site they said they do not usually go back to the same place twice but that this was their 3rd or 4th visit to site - we can fully understand why.

I really do not want to say too much nice about this site. Otherwise you will all want to come and we want it to ourselves!.
Great site. Great location. Great hosts. Great facilities. Great locals. Great beach. Great walks. Great cycling. Great kayaking. Only 2 hrs from Roscoff.
Do not come if you want bars, music, karaoki, or all the other tasteless tat you get at some sites.
If you want peace and quiet, culture, space and the most relaxing holiday imaginable, then camping Pors Peron is the place to be.

This is a lovely site, well run by a young, friendly, hardworking English couple. The toilet block is one of the best we have ever visited in France -and we have visited many- spotlessly clean with toilet paper, hand soap and paper towels provided. The pitches are spacious, immaculate, private and surrounded by shrubs and trees. The shop sells most basic items and fresh bread is available. A short walk down to the lovely beach and cliff walks. At 12 euros a night in low season, we thoroughly recommend this site.

This is our 4th stay at Pors Peron and we love it. Owners Nikki and Graham are very welcoming and helpful and even though the site was perfectly adequate before, this year we arrived to find an updated toilet block, new dishwashing and laundry facilities and a new tarmac road around the site. Everything is immaculate and this year it is definitely up to Caravan Club standards but still retains its French charm.
The last 2 years our son and his family have stayed in one of the chalets on site which are really nice and very comfortable.
In all honesty this is a gem of a site and all credit to Nikki and Graham who work so hard to maintain the site to a very high standard.
Iam sure we shall be returning again and again as also the area has so many attractions for all ages. We especially love the little beach 300m from the site.

Well what a gem, the best campsite we have ever visited. On arrival we were advised to choose a pitch of choice although guidance was offered - which we took.
A very well planned site with a new utility block and delicious fresh bread every morning.
The web site is very helpful and lots of relevant information regarding supermarkets etc. With the nearest approximately 4km away.
Lots of local history to visit and the whole area is spotlessly clean with absolutely no overcrowding on roads, streets etc, what a refreshing change!
The beach down the hill from the campsite entrance is enchanting and the only sad part was that the sea was too cold to swim in during our stay but we did visit twice each day, massive waves to watch local surfers practising their sport during the incoming tide in the evening.
Nikki and Graham are excellent hosts and their business is a credit to them, enhanced by their apprentice team!
A must to visit if in Northern France!
