Excellent campsite. I can only echo the comments below. Great spot, just a couple of hundred yards from a sandy beach that never seemed to get crowded, despite being mid-August. Site is very peaceful. Most pitches seem to have hedge borders on at least 2 sides, giving privacy (and some shelter from the wind for those of us cooking outside). The toilet / shower facilities are modern (and more spacious than some French sites). In the reception, there is a shelf of books in various languages that can either be swapped or borrowed. Highly recommended!

This site was the final 2 weeks of a 4 week stay in France and was a relax before going home to Cornwall. The site was really good, close to beach and cliffpath. Nikki and Graham, the English owners, were very friendly and helpful be it advice about the local area or help with a bit of French. The site showers and toilets were clean with plenty of hot water and having separate male and female areas, unusual for France. Although we do not have young children now there was a play area on site, but with the beach only a few minutes walk away what more do they want. They is a very small shop in reception covering the very bare essentials, but bread and croissants can be ordered daily.
There is no onsite entertainment and ideal for a quiet time. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity but the towns and villages are not far away as are a variety of supermarkets. There are a number of weekly markets, but are expensive even for local produce.
Plenty of walking and sight seeing available, Douarnenez, the largest town is definitely worth a visit or two as it covers a wide area, the new and old port and the town, walk across the foorbridge to Treboul and there is more to see. The fish from the port stalls is so fresh its still twitching.
All in all a good site to relax and enjoy the countryside.
At time of writing the site has a 20% discount with Brittany Ferries when booking.

What a great find this site is.
Graham and Nikki have a lovely rural site within 200 yards of a fantastic cove. They have everything you need from the traditional croissants and bread in the morning and their facilities are spotlessly clean. The pitches are spacious compared with others we have found in France and they do their very best to accomodate tourers to tents etc. The atmosphere is friendly and everyone we met commented on the site in general. The surfing at local beaches especially bay de tresspass which can accomodate the beginner to the expert. All along the local roads their are many signs pointing out the various 'pointes ' , you have to see them all the scenery is incredible with many walks.
Dourarnenez has a good beach and don't miss a visit to the dock area with the ship museum.
Quimper is half an hour away and not to be missed.Audierne had a festival and we spent quite a few hours there browsing the many stalls.
There are a good choice of supermarkets within a few miles with a super you within three miles and a large L'eclerce in Dourarnenez with cheap diesel and petrol.
We had a great holiday there and fully recommend it. More shower and toilet facilities are going to be added over the next year or so.

Stayed here with 3 children,11,9 and 6 yrs in school holidays. Site ideal for making friends - ours took off with 2 french boys and weren't seen all week. Owners working very hard to make everyone happy - seen helping 11pm arrivals settle their caravan very cheerfully. Small shop met our needs, with good bread and croissants. Many small children on site, all able to play very safely as paths are grassy, so traffic very slow. Ours spent the week on their bikes with no worries. Loved the trampoline.
Local beach beautiful but with quite big surf - bring those wetsuits as the water's chilly.
Site owners couldn't be faulted - couldn't wish to meet a nicer, hard working couple. They have camped for years themselves and treat their guests as they would wish to be treated themselves. It's also worth noting the discount with Brittany Ferries - they gave us 20% off after we had booked when we used the campsite's code.

Lovely campsite, set in a great location. Campsite owners Graham and Nikki have been very welcoming and very helpful.
We have enjoyed the beaches and the walks with our dog Woody.
It has been very quiet whilst we have been here.
The campsite has all the facilities you would expect, the toilets and showers have been recently refurbished by the looks of things.
I can wholeheartedly recommend coming here, if you want a quiet relaxing holiday with beaches, walks and towns nearby you won't go far wrong.
Internet access at the site means that this review was written at the site, (with a glass of red close by).

Having found it by accident, we have now stayed at Camping Pors Peron for two years running and can heartily recommend it. Its location is perfect for us – 200 meters from the bay’s sandy beach and access to the cliff path. The site is beautifully laid out and maintained with a lovely selection of shrubs, trees and hedging plants. Each pitch can connect easily to electricity. We chose our caravan for its big end shower room but frequently used the site’s spotless shower/toilet block where hot water was plentiful and reliable and didn’t need to be carried away!
Although we have no young children ourselves now, there were plenty on the site enjoying family holidays. They seemed to love the play area especially the trampoline. We enjoyed a quiet game on the boules pitch in the evening sunshine. One day we rented the site bicycles and enjoyed a lovely day exploring all the roads down to the sea. Luckily, this far west, the area doesn’t seem to get too crowded even in the high season. It’s great for a quiet relaxing stay, if you don’t yearn for one of those big sites with hundreds of pitches, bars, pools etc
The site is owned and run by a young English couple. More helpful or friendly people would be hard to find. Each evening we gave in our bread order and took it in turns to go down to reception in the morning to collect our baguette, croissant, pain au chocolat etc. Sitting outside by the small palm tree on our pitch enjoying a breakfast of fresh coffee and croissant was just great Also in reception was a small shop - good for forgetful people like me or the hikers who came in from the cliff path carrying their tents on their backs. We were also able to rent a barbecue there, ready-fuelled with charcoal and firelighters.
The nearby medieval town of Pont Croix had a supermarket, bars and restaurants. It has a really good annual Fair of the Ancients which we went to last year (maybe check the date if you think this would interest you as well). Lots of the villages around Pors Peron hold traditional festivals in the Summer, with Breton musical entertainment and traditional dancing in the streets and squares. The locals are very welcoming and we really enjoyed the refreshments of fresh fish, moules or saucisson and frites, not to mention the cold beers, regional ciders and usual French wine selection !
This whole area of Brittany is called Cornouaille. This means Cornwall and the land and sea here really reminded us of camping in the area around Land’s End except there was no noise after 11 o’clock, the loos were clean and the wine and food were cheaper!
