Visited Pors Peron for six days this month and we are most pleased that we did. Graham and Nicki were most welcoming, we were given the choice of pitches with info given as to which sites were south facing/ most sheltered etc. All the facilities were very clean and showers were FREE (Just push button).

250yds from what can only be described as private / beautiful beach. Small shop with all you could need Choice of Hpermarkets within 20+min. Owners seem to welcome any new ideas and have worked hard to make this site very welcoming, English spoken and info and printed guides all seem to be BI-Lingual.

All in all one of the best sites we have stayed on.

If you think this is to good to be true, THEN in our opinion IT IS.

As well there seems to be plenty of good bits and pieces for kids (trampolines, slides etc but we did not make use of them.

Thanks Graham & Nicki (+ your 3 apprentices) for a nice stay

Owners were very welcoming on our first visit to this area. The site has had many new features installed for 2013 including new shower block and laundry room. It is very well maintained with very spacious pitches with plenty of electric hook ups available. There are also plenty of drinking water taps around the site. A well equipped play area is provided for children. A beautiful beach is within 5 mins walk and an historic town a short drive away.

I would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this site.

We arrived in the pouring rain and were told to pitch anywhere. We chose a pitch near the new shower/toilet block. Very clean and nice hot showers. Website offered daily bread delivery but we were disappointed to be told it had not started yet. Nearest shop about 5km. Beach lovely and close, too cold when we were there unfortunately. Good size pitches, plenty of water. Would stay here again. Recommend to anyone wanting excellent pitches and lovely beach.

We stayed here the last week of June and first week of July. One of the best sites visited in France during our 12 years of French touring. Nikki and Graham are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The site is well kept and was quiet during our stay. The shower/toilet block is modern and kept clean, there are laundry facilities which we didn't use during our visit. Shop well stocked with provisions and fresh bread daily. A bonus was free WIFI, useful for researching the area. No bars, no Karaoke, no pool so loved the tranquillity. Only 250yds from a lovely little beach and the coastal paths which run in both directions from the beach area. Definitely a place we would stay again if we visit this area of Finistere and the site has the same owners.

Have just got back after spending ten days at this site. When we arrived we were very impressed with the warm welcome from nikki her main concern was ordering our bread for the following morning, we were then offered a choice of any available pitch where she talked us through the map and the pros and cons of pitches. Excellent start!

The bathroom facilities were basic but more than adequate however they are building a new toilet blck for next year.

The pitches are all different sizes but we have a big tent and there were many different pitches that could accommodate us. Lovely hedged pitches too which gave privacy without windbreaks.

The local area is nice and out favourite place was audierne which had a lovely harbour and nice bars and restaurants. With lovely costal drives and walks with breathtaking views.

The hosts as a lot of people talk about are extremely helpful and friendly and a big thank you has to go to graham who really helped us with the recent problems with Brittany ferries. Overall great site and already booked to go back in June.

What a gem of a site nice and clean very friendly owners (nothing to much trouble)and only 250mtrs from a cracking beach. Three days into the holiday we had a storm which wrecked our awning the next day one of the team turned up with an awning that we could borrow for the rest of the holiday(no charge just sort out the poles and pitch). There are some lovely beaches and towns and villages close at hand to visit and some good walks close by. We will be going back.

P. S. You get 20% off your ferry crossing to when you book the site.

We stayed for two weeks, sadly the weather was not kind. The site was quiet and very well maintained. As has been said it is run by English owners, who are extremely helpful and enthusiastic.

The site is 2 star and I feel the shower block reflects that, however the water is hot, plentiful and with regular cleaning perfectly adequate.

Pitches are varied in size, ours was more than adequate at the top of the site next to the acces road to the beach and a few houses. At no time was there any problem with noise from traffic. One or two a day. We had a sea view from the pitch and had no problem getting a sat signal. Which with the rain was a bonus. I could go on but others have posted about the beach and cliff walks. All great

Would we return. ? Absolutely

We stayed here for 10 nights with our dog. The site was ok, the facilities were clean (remember your loo roll! No soap at the sinks either) but our pitch was a bit tricky to reverse onto because there was a slight slope in the grass which caused the back end of the van to nearly hit the floor! Never had that happen before!

I also felt a bit 'enclosed' by the other caravans and felt the pitches were quite squashed in. Our pitch was right next to the tap which was great but it did feel like people were walking onto your pitch to get water. It's not the end of the world, but when 5 caravans are using it and you are sat indoors, it feels a bit like Piccadilly circus!

We booked the site because of the location to the beach-300 metres. And it's a lovely beach, brilliant for children. However this beach does not allow dogs so bear this in mind if you are bringing one!

We sneaked on in the evenings with ours, but it's not quite the same!

However if you and your dog are partial to a bit of scrambling (which ours was by the end of the holiday) then at the main beach, if you turn left up the coastal path you come to a bend in the path and a visable track heading straight on, into the overgrowth. Follow that path down, scramble across the rocks and you have your own private beach!

You have to be careful, but it is worth it if you can do it. We spent the hottest day of our holiday there on our own with wine and a picnic (maybe avoid the wine given the rocks!).

Dog owners-there is a nice vets in Pont Croix. We took our own wormers from our own vet for the French one to administer. They can give you the address at the site reception.

Things to see in the area would have to be the markets-I would say Audierne is probably the best, it's certainly the biggest.

Douarnenez is worth a visit. There is a trail you can follow about the history of the area and we visited an old village which was part of a nature park, where they had some farm animals, which children would like.

Locronan is definitely worth a visit. It is a very old and pretty village. You have to pay 3 Euros for parking but that's no big deal. There are loads of little shops selling clothing, jewellery, biscuits, chocolate etc. And I had a delicious ham and goat's cheese crepe from one of the creperies. There are also some walks around the village you can do, which take you through forests and up to some good viewpoints.

In the area around the site itself, you have a coastal path. We did a 2km loop from the main beach turning right to the next beach at Pont du Millier.

Overall would I go back? I don't know. The location of the beaches is very good but aside from the beaches, you have to be prepared to drive to get anywhere.

Considering that we never visit the same place twice then this was our second visit to this excellent site after one year. The pitches are well maintained with privacy coming from hedges on three sides. The shower and toilet blocks are spotless giving free hot water. A well equipped shop provides all the essentials along with fresh bread daily all managed by a friendly and helpful team who can't do enough to ensure satisfaction. Outside of the site the area has a wide range of attractions including markets, Restaurants, shops and historical sites. The only problem is that we can only get there once a year.

this was our first venture in our own caravan to France and headed off from Leeds with a faint heart but got there no problem

The owners could not do enough, I told them I was fairly new to caravanning and graham helped us to site the van. Later I told him that I couldn't get any picture from our digital caravan aerial and a day or so later up Graham came with a sat dish and sky box, he set it up and wouldn't take a payment.

The 300 mtr walk to the quiet beach was well worth it, as the beach there was unbelievable, as was the coastal walks.

The toilet block was spotlessly clean, the shop well stocked, the electric was as in England, we had everything going and no tripping out.

At the end we had our car parked on one pitch, sat dish on another and caravan on another. One thing I did like was on arrival Graham told us what pitch we were assigned to but asked us to walk round and if we preferred another pitch, that was not reserved, to let him know and use it.

We decided that at 300 euros we would leave the van in storage there and he would pull it out and site it ready for our next visit and we cannot wait
