Lovely campsite with excellent facilities. It was obviously a very busy weekend for farmers as the noise of heavy farm machinery passing the site made it far from tranquil. We actually left a day early as we found the noise very disturbing. That coupled with the flys that invaded our awning. We were next to an apple tree ( pitch 11) which gave good shade but unfortunately also attracted the flys and wasps. The site website gave us the impression that we would be over looking open countryside. The site is actually quite enclosed. Overall - a pleasant site that we would consider visiting again.

 Adults only campsite, pets allowed.

Stayed for 2 night, but wanted to stay longer shame.

This delightful small campsite near to the small village of Skenfrith in Wales approx 1 mile from the Welsh/English border. 8 Miles to the North of Monmouth, 11 miles to the East of Abergavenny.

Toilet block is new with three private large cubicles shower/toilet rooms, plenty of hot water.

Pot wash area, fridge and freezer to store any items.

Has a small TV lounge with supply of books to borrow.

Has chemical disposal area.

Each pitch has hook up, TV aerial plug in,

The campsite is partially surrounded by trees, su was out great place to sit outside caravan and soak up the sun.

If you rely on a phone signal you won't get one.

There is wifi but you have to stand out side the owners house to get it, however, the owner is going to improve Wifi access.

The campsite is very peaceful and quiet if you want the bright lights you won't find it here, if you like tranquillity this is the place for you

Definitely will be using this campsite again and will stay longer.

Take a visit to the town of Abergavenny was very surprised what a nice town, which had some nice shops and places to eat.

Give it a try

We would just like to say that this site is one of the best we have stayed at in our 20 years of caravanning, and had a very pleasant surprise with the facilities. The Showers (WOW), the information Room and the washing up facilities were fab, and the addition of the microwave and fridge was a great surprise.

The owners have really put a lot of thought into what Campers want including a reading and TV room which would be very handy if you were in a tent and wanted somewhere to go if it was raining or just to chill out in the evenings. There will also be a boot drying room which will be completed shortly.

Some of the pitches are also fully serviced with water, Drainage, Electric & an Ariel point. If you haven't got an aerial lead the site will supply free of charge for your stay. Not many site offer these facilities.

There are some great walks from the site and one we completed was the three Castle walk of 19 miles. We did it in a day but it was quite hard in places and we should have walked it over 2 days really. The site even supplied the book for the walk. Yet another nice touch.

The site is very central to Abergavenny, Monmouth and Ross on wye and all these places are well worth a visit. There is also a lovely Cycle ride from Monmouth to Symonds Yat along the old railway line called the Peregrine Path, and from Abergavenny you can walk to The Sugar Loaf. There is so much to do in and around this area.

If your not into walking or cycling this is a still a perfect place to just relax and take in the beautiful scenery. A very Quiet Camp site.

Delightfully small site in the country with the only sound at night being the babbling brook. There is a short walk to a pub but if you are enjoying the beautiful countryside during the day I think you will be too tired. We stayed over Easter and the owners appeared on Sunday with cakes and little chocolate bunnies-very thoughtful touch! The facilities were excellent and it would be difficult to find any fault-we will be back again later in the year!

Brilliant campsite for peace and quiet. Fascilities are first class and cannot be compared. Brilliant!. Be warned though you are in the middle of nowhere! Peace and quiet yes but miles away from a supermarket for daily needs and you are really in the country. Brilliant walking and trips out. To go anywhere get in your car or be prepared for long walks. This is a site for peace, quiet, no kids, chill out in beautiful countryside, friendly owner and miles of wandering Welsh countryside. You have been warned! A really superb country retreat. You won't be disappointed

What a lovely site. We stayed for 2 nights, and wished it had been for longer.

The owners are very friendly, and made us feel very welcome.

The shower block etc was very clean, with enormous spotless showers, wall heaters for the chilly mornings, and nice quality loo roll/soap etc

We went walking with our dogs, and the only slight negative from the weekend was that none of the styles are dog friendly. It made for some interesting moments when trying to get a 60kg ridgeback over some of them!

We will return!

Well what can I say. This was our first year at using a folding camper and we visited several sites in 2013. This was the best and we are going back again in Easter.

The facilities are second to none. The best I have come across. They even have an honesty box for ice creams etc.

The serviced pitches are a plus, but all pitches are flat and big enough for your needs.

Highly recommended

This is a lovely quiet site with brilliant facilities in rural surroundings. We stayed here for 4 nights in August 2013 and had a fab time, would definitely revisit in the future. Our only minor complaint would be that we arrived to find a tent on the pitch that we had specifically booked. The people decided to move their tent to pitch 2 after the previous people left but didn't bother to ask the owners first. Not the owners fault and would not stop us going back.

Outstanding site and area. Lovely small and quiet site. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Pitch sizes were very generous and all with power. No hidden extras in fees. Shower block, or I should say wet rooms, were excellent with shaving foam, facial wipes, hand cream, dental floss freely available. Free hair dryer too. Washing Up area was so clean I used this every day rather than our caravan, which was a first for me!, again washing up liquid and hand cream also provided. Honesty box for eggs and ice creams was a bonus as was freezer use, tv facility and book borrowing/swapping. Excellent local information leaflets. Great dog walking area. So quiet from mid evening and early mornings. Can't recommend enough, a fabulous chilling zone & we will definitely be back.

This is a first class site - quiet, spotlessly clean with really friendly owners.

Only around a dozen spacious level pitches all with electric hook up but it was just what we were looking for after walking the hills around Abergavenny which is a thirty minute drive away. Even closer is Monmouth with supermarkets, newsagents and restaurants.

The site's facilities are superb and whatever pitch you're allocated, you're never more than a minute's walk from the fantastic shower and toilet block.

Can't recommend the site highly enough, so if you want a lovely quiet weekend in beautiful surroundings, Three Cstles could be the place for you !
