Had 4 nights while delivering training nearby. Nice quiet site, met by the owner who was really friendly.
If I came back to the area I will return. Not somewhere we would normally use because we have a small dog.
Near the A34, there is some background noise but not intrusive.

Loved this campsite it has all the basics, is nice and quiet
Within walking distance of a mini supermarket and walks in the woods.
Great for visiting attractions in the area and the gentleman on reception was very helpful.
But best of all DOGS are not allowed! Wish more campsites would follow suit.

We have chosen this campsite for our first camping experience with our 3year old.
Great location, friendly ground stuff and facilities where very clean. Enough toilet paper, soap and hot showers.
Outside there were sinks to wash your catering.
Thank you

Very pleasant flat field with power and water, just up the road from The Woodpecker which serves excellent meals. No dogs permitted, I asked why and was told owners in the past didn’t pick up mess so a blanket ban is now in force.
Facilities bit dated but otherwise an excellent small site with very friendly people. Road noise from nearby main roads can be a bit intrusive but it’s not terrible. It won’t prevent me sleeping after my trip to the Woodpecker 🤣
£23 per night for 2 adults and children with EHU. Value.

What an excellent little gem of a camp site, it was absolutely great for what we needed for the night.
Mick the warden was so friendly and so helpful, we paid for late check out on the Sunday.
Such a lovely place, no noise, everything you need for a nights camping, we used electrical hookup but there was a field with no hookups.
Would definitely stay here again if in the area. Very secure as well

Absolutely loved this site. So quiet and well kept. All facilities were in good order and pitches well spaced. Mick, the warden, is welcoming and has a cracking sense of humour - obviously loves what he's doing. We'll be back.

This is a little gem of a campsite near Newbury.
Lots of things to see and do around the area.
Very well positioned for a stopover enroute down south or even heading London way.
Don't expect Club specifications. This is a rural campsite with all the basic amenities you need.
The warden will help you out with almost anything you need.
You'd better have a good sense of humour as Mick loves to tell a good joke and have a bit of banter with you.
Probably one of the most entertaining and knowledgeable wardens I have ever met. Thanks Mick for helping us out and making our stay very pleasant whilst we stayed here for 4 days.
We would love to see better water pressure in the shower rooms. But hey. For the price you pay here it's all well worth it.
Highly recommended by us both.

Great campsite! We arrived very late in the evening, but the owner gave us a very warm welcome nevertheless. Stayed only for one night but would definitely return. The tent pitch we had did even have a table and the toilet facilities were very clean.

Lovely little camp site. Friendly staff. Toilets and shower were clean and plenty of hot water when I had a shower. Nice big pitches. Very quiet and relaxing. I'm definitely going back. No shop on site but an ice cream van came to the site, while we were there. They also had a tennis court.

This is a handy site for visiting the Newbury Motorhome Show which we did. Found it easily and it has good access. It may be the last year that dogs will be allowed on site and I got the feeling that the farmer who owns the site is now very anti-dog as they are not even allowed to be walked around the site on a lead. Also, we were pitched by the entrance barrier and every time it was opened it fell back down with a loud clonk, other sites have used rubber or foam to deaden the sound so have never noticed this before.
