We stayed at Wicks farm for 10 days over this Easter period, it is our second visit and we love it here. It is close enough to three coastal areas all with parking facilities. Shame about the staff who took your money at Bracklesham bay no longer being there, we have been going there for years and the staff were always friendly, but on the plus side its pay and display at 3. 50 for the whole day.
Camp site is spotless and showers and toilets were always clean, when soap had run out in ladies toilet the staff replaced it immediately when informed. One night the temperature dropped to -4 and it was so cold, but the heater in the toilets was exceptionally good and I soon warmed up. The showers are small and have two hooks behind door but needed more as when all four showers in ladies were being used everything got wet, but its the same most places we have been, its a press button shower it lasts for about 3 minutes and are very hot, my husband said it was the same in the mens. I found it adequate and it was free.
Playground always a plus even for our two daughters aged 12 and 10 years, there are two swings, a table tennis, a huge football pitch, a basketball, but take all the bats and balls, we booked a extra large pitch and it was huge, the site shop is adequate for emergencies, but you are so close to East Wittering if your need a Tesco !
Lovely walks to West Wittering and Chichester harbour all within easy reach.
One drawback is that our little electric heater could not perform on high setting and if we turned it up the electric tripped, this in itself would have been ok except for the night when it was -4. We were very very cold. EHU is 6 amp hence why you cannot run more than one item at a time, but this is camping and it was fine with us.
You cannot book this site if you are staying less than three nights, but personally it wouldn't bother me as it is a little gem, tucked away at the witterings, its quiet and peaceful with all campers quiet by 10pm every night whilst we were there.
One particularly windy night, 40 mile an hour winds, was a bit scary but because the site is surrounded by large trees, we think that this helped protect the tent.
Laundry facilities are excellent, a wash is £2.50 but its a large wash and we put £1.00 in the dryer and it lasted ages, all our clothes dried in the one dry. There is a free Iron and ironing board, and hairdryers are free also.
We have no complaints and look forward to our next break to Wicks Farm again this year. Thanks to all the staff for keeping the site so clean.

We have just returned from a one night stay at Wicks Farm and were thoroughly impressed with the site.
We didn't arrive until after 8pm (very last minute decision to drive down to the coast) and when we arrived we used the wardens phone as directed at the gate, the gentlemen we spoke to was exceptionally helpful in directing us to the correct field to pitch and said he would catch up with us in the morning, which he did with information about the surrounding area/walks/pubs/shops/beaches etc which was very helpful. He offered that we were welcome to use the site for the day if we wanted to due to the fact they were fairly quiet which we thought was really nice and hasn't happened to us before!
The facilities were modern and clean and well lit and although the site wasn't busy (due to the time of year) there seemed to be plenty of facilities for showering, a laundrette & washing up etc if it were full.
Our 2 children enjoyed the park and the separate ball games area with a couple of swings and table tennis table.
The site was very well kept with flat pitches which seemed fairly well sized and it looked like all of them had electric hook up (some xl pitches available, and also a separate adults only camping field) We were advised that they do get very busy in the holidays so best to book in advance for these times, as with most good sites in the holidays.
The only very minor negative was that the shop wasn't open on Sunday (but we were out of season and we were told on arrival) but we had forgotten washing up liquid, so it would have been helpful. Saying that I am sure had we asked they may have sold us a bottle, but never mind!
Overall a lovely site which we would definitely return to.

Visited Wicks Farm in September this year for a 2 night weekend stay. Unfortunately we wont be returning for 1 reason which is a shame as the site is perfect in most ways for us.
Good points: Great play area for people with boys who like football (as I do!) big area, separated from the camping area by a big hedge so no danger of balls being around peoples gear.
Excellent bathroom and washing up facilities.
EHU on every pitch.
Tidy, very well looked after site.
The reason we wont go back: The ridiculous booking policy means we wont go back. They will not take 2 night bookings at all, 3 night minimum. If you want 2 nights its turn up and take your chances. This simply does not work for working parents like us with kids in tow meeting up with friends - I cant take the risk that they have spaces, and if they do we might be the farthest point of the field away from each other.
We had to book a 3 night stay just to ensure we could get the booking, cost us £75 for that, and of course we had to leave after 2 nights to get back to work and school. Won't take bookings over the phone, the girl who took my booking got the prices gone so they asked for more money which had to be paid in FULL 28 days before arrival.
Such a shame, loved the site, but the barmy booking policies mean they won't get another penny from us when if they were like other sites we would have used at least 3 times per year with 4 other families, giving them a pretty good chunk of money.

A lovely campsite, small and pretty (only 40 pitches). Excellent facilities, we went on the August bank holiday weekend when it was full and never had to queue for the showers even at peak times.
Good washing up area, really big sinks. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were in the adults only area (only 5 pitches in the field) which was welcome as there were loads of kids in the family field and I imagine was quite noisy.
You had to keep out of the way of all the little children rushing around on their bikes, trikes and scooters but it was so nice to see children having their freedom and enjoying themselves outside.
We went with our dog and there are some great walks directly off the campsite. The pub (The Lamb) is a 15 minute walk away (dog friendly) although the walk back in the dark is a bit hairy as the road is a 50mph limit and there's not a lot of grass verge.
Nevertheless despite the atrocious weather we had a really good time and would definitely go back

This is a clean pretty tidy well laid out camp site. There are ample electric hook ups with the option of hiring a fridge which comes with a bollard light. There is a good ball park and a separate children's' playground on sand, for younger children.
The facilities are small, the 'Ladies' have 4 showers and one privacy basin, and the toilets only have 4 or 5 toilets and sinks, there is no Family Bathroom on this site and it is difficult to shower very small children.
There are 2 great washing up areas with constant hot water. There is a cycle track to West Wittering beach, which is long and sandy. East Wittering has a stony beach but goes to sand, it has a lovely village with a small Tesco, Co-op and a fantastic greengrocers that sells local produce, not to mention great fresh fish shops with fresh caught local produce.
There is an amazing cafe/restaurant called The Bouldevard in East Wittering where you can get the most amazing meals, very good value for money with huge portions, definitely a place to treat yourself!
My only criticism of this camp site is that in August there should be more regular cleaning of the facilities, once a day just isn't enough. When we have visited in the past all facilities were immaculate, but not sure if they have changed cleaners, but it didn't quite come up to scratch this time.

A well-run, friendly site with everything you need for a perfect camping holiday.
- Great shop selling all camping requisites and essentials.
- Excellent 'hygiene' facilities. Even mid school holidays there were always clean toilets and showers available at any time of day.
- Play areas for younger and older children
- Lovely walks/cycle paths to 3 villages, with supermarkets and other shops, pubs, boats and beaches
We couldn't fault it. Quite a lot of dogs (not usually our favourite), but all with very responsible owners. We hardly knew they were there.
There is lots to see in the area - we spent a very pleasant afternoon at RSPB Pulborough Broods doing a family nature trail. Amberley museum is also good and of course Portsmouth. West Sussex, and in particular this site, is great!

We camped here 2 adults 1 dog 2 kids (age 10 & 13). Its a lovely flat site well sheltered by trees around the perimeter and quiet at night. The shower blocks are modern and cleaned regularly with lovely hot showers.
Washing up facilities are modern and clean also. There is a nice playground and ball area with basketball, badminton and football nets etc. There is a well stocked shop with helpful staff. The park is kept tidy and the pitches the normal size.
There are fields to the rear of the site where you can walk a dog easily. There was nothing we didn't like about this site and would go there again if in the area.
There is plenty to do in the area with the dog we loved the Weald and downland open air museum, Amberley working museum, Bognor Regis without the dog Arundel castle and cathedral, Brighton Royal pavillion (amazing), pier and Penny arcade museum.
For doggy day care I highly recommend Sylvia from www.dogwalkingandmassage.co.uk my shihtzu loved her and her lovely Labrador.

We were faced with a weekend of appalling weather to which the campsite allowed us to reschedule no questions asked.
The site is very open and well organised, spotlessly clean and well maintained. There is large playing field for the children which has volley ball, small hoop, table tennis, football area and swings neatly sheltered by large hedges with additional sand pit for smaller ones.
Well stocked shop on site, staff are very friendly and helpful, facilities modern and spotlessly clean.
Close to beaches, shops etc. Kids loved it, we loved it and we are going back.

What a lovely little camp site! Really sheltered which is important for us when camping. The electric hook ups great with optional fridge hire what a great idea, chilled wine on tap!
The toilets were clean as were the showers and a great washing up area that looked out onto camp site where we could watch the kids cycle up and down whilst washing up! My Kids (8 & 5) loved the play area & ball park and the loved cycling round and round.
The surrounding area is wonderful. A good cycle track down to West Wittering then you don't have to pay the car park fee of £5. 50 or £7. 50 weekends.
West wittering beach is a great, take a wind break though as really windy! We took boogie boards down and my daughter had a great time surfing with her friends.
You need to book in advance as its such a small site.
All in all I can't think of any negatives about this lovely site, apart from you have to stay a maximum of 3 nights when they do a special offer thing between certain dates (check out their website).

What a find, this campsite is spotless and perfectly situated for touring this unspoilt area of natural beauty.
The staff are a delight to deal with. The walks around the site are delightful, the shop is well stocked for all your needs all the staff we met are polite and considerate, I would recommend the lamb inn a 15 minute walk from the site it was doing a half price night on Thursdays and it is dog friendly.
Chichester is well worth a visit only 6 miles away, also we went to Portsmouth with the dog and although he wasn't allowed into the dockyard, he was allowed in the shopping areas and on the 45 min water tour of the harbour which is fascinating and informative.
We will definitely return to wicks farm again.
