Great site - first time I have been and was extremely impressed! Toilets / showers clean and modern, a wonderful site with dogs welcome. At the back of the campsite you can access Salterns Way and walk to West Wittering (I didn't manage to do this!) or to Itchenor and beyond. The walk to Itchenor is flat and took about 45 mins. You can stop for lunch in the pub there and even do a water tour if you fancy. West Wittering beach is a fabulous beach with lots of sand especially when the tide is out - beautiful and allows dogs on the majority of it and BBQs too!
The rules are fairly strict on the campsite which is great in many ways but be aware of going in groups and chatting / playing games after 9pm. Fabulous location though and you can hire a very large cool box / mini fridge for £3 a night (£1 electric hook up and £2 cost of fridge hire) and it is well worth it for chilled wine and beer alone! Make sure you ask for a newspaper to be ordered for you if you want one as the shop sells out instantly! Laundry facilities available which could come in handy and a nice playground, albeit small.

This is a lovely campsite with excellent, clean facilities. However, it is not a large campsite and the facilities are nicely separated into separate sections creating a nice atmosphere and maintaining a good 'camping' feel in the tent field. The camping field is quite small but the pitches are not too close together and the field is completely level and surrounded by tall trees. They don't take groups of young people, but there was ourselves (a group of 4 youngsters) and another group of younger people when we were there - as long as you explain that you aren't looking to make loads of noise and are looking for a relaxing time they are okay depending on group size and age etc. But they also make sure the noise is kept down and warn you will be out if any problems are reported. There were not problems when we were there so everyone was happy!
Great site for kids too - good play equipment, and a sepearted area for playing badminton, table tennis or football, although both areas are separated from the camping field keeping everyone happy.
The location is fab - 2 minute drive to a huge sandy beach, and this is a lovely beach because behind the sand is no tall hotels, just grassy countryside! You do have to pay per car in the summer time but it isn't very expensive and it's a one off fee for the whole day. When the tide goes out you can swim out to a beachy bank that is uncovered by the sea, it's magical - feels like you're miles away, not on the English coast! We will definitely be coming back.

Just returned from three nights at Wicks Farm and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The site is immaculate and sheltered. The facilities are first class and the playing field and play park amused our three kids all the time we were there. The pitches are marked out and plenty of room between them has been left allowing privacy and good access.
The only minor complaint was the shop. Although it was large it stocked primarily camping hardware which most campers would have brought with them. Some of the space would have been better allocated to food such as tinned and dried.
The staff were helpful and always available.
There is loads to do in the area. The beach is about a mile away and Chichester, Portsmouth and the harbours are a short drive. The Lamb is excellent and large enough for families to be made welcome without disturbing non-families.

Just returned from a fabulous long Easter weekend at Wicks Farm. We were 2 families in 2 tents and were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our pitches. We had booked the XLarge pitches and there was loads of space for our 2 large tents, a tarp shelter and 2 cars.
The site is immaculately kept and the main field was surrounded by tall hedges which were beautifully kept. The site was nearly full but still remained very peaceful and quiet. The kids facilities were fabulous. A large field with football goals, a table tennis table, basketball hoop and a couple of swings was the main meeting point for all of our children and they all soon made friends - therefore completely happy all weekend. They also had a great play park for the smaller ones which was in a giant sand pit - a big hit with our 3 yr old!
The shop was well stocked with all grocery essentials, but the surprise was the fantastic camping equipment for sale. If you had forgotten anything or needed to replace anything they would definitely have it there.
The one and only small gripe were the toilets/showers. They were perfectly adequate and we never had to queue for a shower, the water was always hot and the showers were spacious enough with an area to hang clothes etc. However they could have been cleaned more often. I had read all the reviews on this site before going and no one had complained about this previously, so maybe they were a bit short staffed - not really sure, but there was always toilet roll on the floors of the loos and the soap ran out in the ladies on the Sat eve and was not replaced and we left on the Monday. They weren't disgusting but could have been cleaner. A mop and bucket in the toilets and showers for people to use would have made a big difference.
This aside we would definitely return to Wicks Farm as it really is a great place for a relaxing break.
West Wittering has a great selection of pubs. We ate in the Lamb Inn on the Sunday and it was great. Great service and excellent food.

We stayed here for 2 nights last week on a spontaneous weekend away and managed to get the last available pitch. We have a Khyam Tourer Tent and had a large pitch which had more than enough room for us, the tent and the car. There were excellent facilities for the children with 2 play areas that I could see, one for ball games and slightly older kids and one for smaller (under sixes). The showers were clean and plentiful and free with loads of hot water and long running times, but don't rely on the hairdryer to dry your hair in a hurry!. I didn't have to queue once, even at peak (8 a.M.) rush time. There was a separate loo block with large mirrors and lots of wash basins and a separate washing up area with 3 sinks and draining racks, a laundry which was very spacious and light. Everything was kept immaculately clean and considering we probably went on the busiest weekend of the year (bar the bank holiday) we were very impressed. Even when every pitch was filled it still felt like you had plenty of space and privacy. The grounds were very well maintained, by invisible staff and the shop is well stocked, although you would need to go to West Wittering for food where there is a delightful butchers and spa, or East Wittering for a range of shops and supermarkets and a vry good chip shop! he surrounding areas is affluent and lovely with the eacxh just a short drive or cycle ride away. The parking on the only suitable beach carpark is expensive @ £5.00 for the day, but has good facilities and you could stay until evening having a barbeque by the beach. He beach itself is fantastic and has miles of golden sand, although can be a bit windy and even though it was a fantastically hot day when we went (yes we did have one) and the beach became very crowded, I would still suggest a windbreak. All in all I would return to this campsite again as it had fantastic facilities, very friendly staff and was extremely well organised. The surrounding area is beautiful with a fantastic beach with life guards and 1st aid tent. Here is a very useful notice board outside the laundry / loos with local maps and information on and the shop posts a 5 day weather forecast outside on a regular basis.

Very well run site. Despite being very full due to warm weather, tents were not too packed in. Fantastic shop selling not only food but good quality camping and caravanning gear. Great play areas which kept children entertained. Children kicked off play areas by 9pm but would have liked to see ban on cycling at the same time as we found that groups of older children were cycling around the site until 10pm and we already had children asleep by this time. Clean and well maintained showers and toilet blocks, free hot water and we never had to queue despite them being full. The fact that the site was not massive meant that it was not far for anyone to go to the shower block and there were lit paths to walk along. Also has a laundry block and fridges and electric points for tent hire. Will definitely be going back - very refined camping!

Just spent 4 great nights at this campsite. The staff were polite and helpful. We stayed in the adult only area. We really enjoyed this as there were only 5 pitches set back from the main field which meant it was very quiet. We also enjoyed the food at the Lamb Inn and Ship Inn at Itchanor (30 min walk from campsite.) We would definitely stay here again.

Just spent 3 nights here. Very good atmosphere. Only 8 pitches out of40 taken as school holidays had ended so plenty of space.Excellent ballgames area away frompitches.Toilet block clean and hot water in showers most of time. Interesting walks directly from site and helpful walking maps given out by friendly staff in reception. Very quiet and peaceful. West Wittering beach costs £5 for car park for day but good sandy beach and lovely walks round East Head. Boat trip from Itchenor recommended. No caravans allowed here.

Just spent a fantastic 3 days at this 'family' campsite, with my wife, 3yr old and 10 month old daughters. Very clean showers / toilets - they must clean them at least 4 times a day as they were immaculate. Washing up area also very good and plenty of hot (free) water no matter the time of day. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful - even opened the shop at 9.00pm so we could buy a new inflatable mattress! Would suggest you pay a little extra for the electric hook up & fridge - a real godsend as the temperature inside the tent went over 47C during the day! And we had nice cold drinks when we got back! Children's play area was also good even if only basic. There was also an entire field set aside for ball games - including goals, basketball hoop and table tennis table. Play areas closed at dusk or 9.00pm, whichever is the earlier, so no real noise after this and with a site 'patrol' at least five times a day there were no noise from loud radios, large groups etc after 10.30pm - so you can get a decent nights sleep! Surrounding area is also great - sandy beach at West Wittering (although you have to pay £5 to park irrespective of how long you stay on the beach) and a pebble beach at East Wittering (£1 for 2 hrs parking). Also a Tesco Express and Co-Op at East Wittering. Plenty of fruit farms in the surrounding area to pick your own - we got some lovely raspberries! I have no hesitation in recommending this campsite to anybody, especially families.

Just got back from five days at this site. Lovely site, lovely area. West Wittering beach is fantastic. Nearest shop is a bit of a stroll away and is a very small 'Spar' type shop. Further along at East Wittering there is a nice selection of shops with small Tesco, Coop, banks, fish n chips plus many more small shops.
We were welcomed on arrival to the site by a friendly young lady who personally showed us to our pitch on her bike. Being school holidays and with the prediction of good weather, the campsite was full. Plot sizes ok, with tents pitched around a squared field area and also in the middle. Could park next to our tent. We hired a fridge and electric light / sockets which you need £5 cash to leave as a deposit for. Showers, loos etc are very modern and clean. We never had to queue for showers. There are good launderette facilities and a brilliant shop selling camping/caravanning equipment and basic grocery provisions etc. Shop is open from 8am to 6pm. Nearest Pub "The Lamb" was very expensive. Two lemonades for the kids, one bottle of cider and one pint of beer came to £9.50!
We couldn't fault the site but some of the campers were a bit noisy. We were woken by noisy campers on our first night - who were simply chatting and laughing - but at 2am it was enough to keep us awake. We had the football field behind us which was fine other than at 7.30am when children decided to start kicking their footballs around - again waking us up. Wicks Farm itself is great and I'm sure we will be back but would probably ask to be situated away from the football field.
