July 2004 This is a wonderful campsite. Very flat pitches, really well laid out, plenty of drinking water taps and rubbish disposal points, including recycling. The showers were excellent - clean, powerful and good sized compartments with separate toilet blocks. There was an area for laundry with washers, dryers and a sink, and a separate room for washing dishes.
Brilliant for children with a large sandpit playground with slide, climbing frame etc. in it and safe enough for them to go around together on foot or on their bikes. We went with our 4.5 & 6 year old daughters who really enjoyed having the freedom to come and go and make friends.
Hours on the campsite were pretty civilised during our stay - very quiet between about 10pm and 7:30am, and I'd braced myself for a much shorter sleep window!
All the staff were friendly and helpful, the shop was well stocked, the fridge hire was brilliant, and a local company even delivered pizzas to the campsite!
The beautiful West Wittering beach was very close for easy days out.
We will definitely return to Wicks Farm.

June 2004 We stayed in this campsite for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is small enough that my husband and myself were happy for Libby who is almost five to scoot around and make friends, which she did. The shower blocks are fantastic, really clean and with powerful really hot showers. The site has an animal corner which has really clean happy animals and birds that were clearly very well looked after and cared for. Just a short walk away there are a few shops one of which sells the most delicious eggs I have tasted, they are free range eggs from Hookley Farm. We will definately be going back there again and have already recommended this site to a number of friends.

3 June 2004 I have just come back from a great 3 nights away at this site, myself and 2 of my 3 boys, I went with 2 other mums, (hubbies away.) I would agree with the other reviews on this site excellent, only downfall is the electric - could only run my light, fridge and mossie machine, I suppose I am used to taking my kettle, toaster, microwave, but being the site was such a high standard I was quite happy to accept that I could not have my modcons. Visited West Wittering Beach for the day, lovely sandy beech, car park right next to the beach so you can take everything for the days visit.

July 2003 The camping area is quite a small paddock type area, very grassy and extremely flat. When we arrived on the Friday lunch time it was lovely and peaceful and after a trip out to Brighton we arrived back at bed time to find that the place had filled up considerably. For my liking, a bit too crowded as it was such a small amount of space.
The facilities are very good. I was expecting them to be average as it as an AA 3 penant park. Separate shower blocks, with loos / hand basins in another area. There's an under cover laundry area and an inside dish washing area with three sinks which seemed to be almost permanently in use!
Shop is great. They have a small selection of fridges to hire out and they have a place to freeze ice packs in the shop. Staff were friendly if a little too bothered with pitching 'in the centre of your pitch' but i guess this is just for fire safety.
Lovely local walks through miles and miles of crop fields. We were very lucky with the weather during our visit.
It was a little too crowded for such a small site but I do have to say that it did have a spark about it. Definitely one for the families.

August 2002-2001 We (a group of 25 adults & children,) we found it a great site to be at, a long way from the road with sand pits and toys to keep the little ones busy. It’s in a very rural setting with a foot path running around the site for exploring. A few miles from one of the best beaches in Sussex,( West Wittering) with large sandy beaches, great views of the island of Wight, boats going in and out of Portsmouth. Back to the camp site the one problem we had was biting insects, major lumps and bumps, take some repellent. It has a well kitted out shop. All in all a great site.

Aug 2002 I was recommmended this sight by the Compers, who have been a few times. It was my daughers first time camping, she was almost three. The campsite is clean and tidy and the staff could not of been more helpful. Everything we needed was nearby. So good we are taking friends for the weekend in June, and are really looking forward to it.

April 2003 This site was recommended to us by Campcook, and is a site that merits a great deal of praise.
The site is for tents and motor-caravans only (no touring caravans) and all pitches have electric hook-up capability (note - only 5 Amps available - 10 Amps would be nice!).
The site also has a large area of static caravans (privately owned – for use by owners and their families only – no sub-letting allowed).
The area for tents is a large square field with individual pitches clearly marked.
Around the field there are a number of fire points and drinking water outlets.
There is a very well equipped facilities block with male and female toilets (very modern and well maintained), separate male and female shower blocks (showers are free with plenty of hot water). Washing up facilities are provided and also a well equipped laundrette area. Facilities for disposal of chemical toilet waste are provided together with a bin area with recycling bins.
The site caters very well for families with children of all ages, with sandpit area with play equipment, and a separate games field equipped with basketball hoop, football, grass court tennis and swings.
The well-equipped site shop and reception area contains a wide range of camping/caravanning equipment and spares together with gas bottle replacement. The shop also stocks basic food requirements – bread and milk are stocked in July and August.
There are three supermarkets nearby in East Wittering (Tesco Express, Co-op and McColls) also many small independent shops plus an excellent Indian Restaurant and take-away (booking is advisable).
The area is well served with plenty of eating-houses. We tried The Ship Inn at Itchenor – this was excellent offering both bar meals and full restaurant meals – again, I would recommend booking for the restaurant - particularly at busy periods (not cheap – but excellent).
Chichester and the surrounding area offer a wide range of activities for all members of the family. Nearby one also has Portsmouth, Southsea and Gosport – with many museums and attractions. If you really must, you could always spend a day as a “Day Visitor” at Butlins in Bognor Regis!
To sum up, this is an excellent and very well run site. We were so impressed we are going back in May! Very highly recommended.

August 2002 We have been visiting this site every year for the past 18. It is a small and secluded site where the same campers return year after year. The wardens are very helpful and friendly and the facilities are well looked after. It is ideal for families particularly those with over fives that like cycling and playing team games as there is a huge playing field and the area about is flat and good for mountain biking. It can get very busy at peak times.
