Have visited this site each year since it was acquired by the CC. We love its proximity to Cromer as we can leave our car behind and walk down to the town and beach. We have a very active dog which loves the walk either to the cliff top car park for exercise off the lead or we walk left to follow the cliff path down to East Runton beach and walk back along the beautiful sands to Cromer and the site.
This year the club has added new pitches and we were interested to see how this change has resulted. The new pitches are quite elevated and all serviced with water/waste water/electricity so these do not actually interest us however they have been completed to a very high standard and are very nice if this is what you prefer. We did notice that the position of these meant the creation of a new road in and out with very sharp gradients, we have often stayed before on the middle field which the new road joins and can testify from our experience of the high speeds that children previously reached on cycles and scooters indeed sustained car damage after one child crashed his bike into our car! That was before these alterations which we feel will add to this danger many times. Our advice therefore would be to avoid pitches on this side of the middle field.
Please visit the END OF PIER SHOW at Cromer pier, you will not be disappointed!

This is a site for those looking for a seaside resort type of holiday. Sadly it was not really to our taste. It was full, or very nearly full, for the whole week we stayed. Pitches were much too close together and the site felt very overcrowded. They were just about to open some new fully serviced pitches which promised a much better experience - if only the rest of the site had been similarly spaced it could have been excellent.
Despite this the facilities were clean and perfectly adequate and we never had to wait.
We called the totally inadequate dog walk 'poo alley' since others did not reliably pick up after their pooches. It was far too small to be called a walk - it is just a small toilet area. However, just out of the site there were fields and walks within easy reach so we rarely had to use it.
Despite this it is well situated to explore Norfolk. There are plenty of local places to visit - we can recommend the National Trust park at Sheringham, Horsey Mill, Holkham Hall and the Natural Surroundings Wildflower Centre near Holt.

Came here in August this year with granddaughter who loved the pool and was in it at every opportunity she could get. This was our first visit and found it to be a very busy site and well run. It's about 15 minutes walk to the town which to the town, part of which can be along the cliff top which is very pleasant.
The toilet and showers are clean and I never had to queue for a shower. The only thing I think is that they close them too early for cleaning at 10. 30am.
The site offers breakfast and bar meals although we never ate there I heard they were good.
We enjoyed our stay and the area so much we came back without our granddaughter and were just as happy with the site and definitely planning to go back. The site was not as busy though and the pool was closed which is a shame if you are a swimmer and wanted to do a few laps which would be the only time you could with no children around.

Excellent site, especially for convenience. Close to all local amenities in East Runton and Cromer and a bus stop outside. Buses run all along the coast as well as inland towns. The showers, toilets etc. Were very clean and water always hot. The site does slope a little in places so perhaps some units may need chocks, but our pitch was spacious and flat. There is a large field for tents and a good playground. There is a small dog walk and ample doggy bins provided but a large open meadow (on cliff top but fenced at cliff edge) is within easy walking distance as well as a common. The area is very dog friendly - buses, shops, even restaurants allow and welcome them. The site has a club house with restaurant and swimming pool, both very under-used during our stay and included entertainment at weekends. We arrived very late due to a problem but I called the site and a very helpful warden explained where we could stay overnight as a late arrival. Highly recommended and hope to go back.

Two words TOTAL CHAOS We were late arriving due to road works to be told only three pitches left available despite having booked a hardstanding pitch in March. One by the bins which smelled one you would have needed car jacks to get level and the third which we had no choice but to take right in the middle of the field surrounded on all sides by other vans and not hardstanding. Caravan Club work on the policy of first come first served member or not so if you are a bit late arriving you get what is left! Also you are told the pitch numbers available then go find them yourself. Wardens unfriendly and not helpful. Plus side swimming pool and clubhose good with excellent food at reasonable prices. Can anyone tell me the logic of putting a motorhome on a fully serviced pitch? We will not return.

Fantastic site.
The pitches are pretty mixed and we had to move pitch on day 2 of our holiday as no hard standing pitches were available the day we arrived. But it was done with little hassle and then we could enjoy the holiday. We had good weather so took full advantage of the fact that you could walk to two wonderful beaches, either left to East Runton or right to Cromer.
We ate in the site restaurant on three occasions and the food was nice if a bit pricey. The World Cup was being shown if that was your thing, and during the week we were there they had entertainment on quite a few times, which is quite surprising in June we thought.
I hadn't really expected to use the outdoor pool but the weather was good so we braved it and were pleasantly surprised how warm it was. There was a lifeguard on duty every day as well which was good.
Playground was a bit limited but our little one managed perfectly well.
We would definitely go back again.

Very disappointed. The site was full, and it really was packed. If there had been any children it would have been awful. All the caravans were in rows, just like camping in a showroom. The tent areas were totally empty, it seems poor organisation to have the caravans uncomfortably close and a huge empty area. Its on a very busy main road and whilst it is within walking distance to Cromer it was a horrible walk, until you could get off into the grass car park. Not the nicest place.

We choose this site as it advertised very good facilities, we had two Tents in total 5 adults and one child, the facilities were clean, very good and couldn't fault them, BUT, they are obviously more geared for Caravans rather than Tents. The tent field is very sloped and probably furthest away from the toilet block and right next to the road, so noise all night as very busy road. Booking in was a nightmare! wasn't given much information regarding facilities on site had to find out for ourselves. Most staff were very pleasant specially in the club house, others not so welcoming. They have obviously had problems with some tenters in the past and we are all tarred with the same brush. If your tent is over 5 meters don't expect to get on in the height of the season, our tents are 6. 8 meters but was allowed on, nothing on their web site about this or when I phoned to book. Also I did advise when booking we had a gazebo, which they were fine about, until we erected the gazebo, 2 staff walked past at night spoke to us and no problem, then the next morning, a warden came over and we were told we couldn't have the sides on because of their site rules, again nothing mentioned when booking. But they would allow us the sides on if we paid for another pitch for the gazebo, which then meant having to move one of the tents which was already erected. Won't be returning.

Having had our first CC experience in Brighton we didn't hesitate to book Seacroft on our journey round the coast and we weren't disappointed!
Ideal location just outside Cromer the site offers plenty of hard standing pitches over two areas.
We found a lovely corner pitch which was just about level (great seeing as our rented home didn't come with blocks!)
Facilities on the site are great. The toilets were spotless, warm & not too much of a hike away even though we were in the farthest corner.
There was a great bar and restaurant on site. As we have dogs we decided to have takeaways. The best bit was we could have anything on the menu to takeaway, they simply plated up the food, covered it in clingfilm and even popped it in a bag to carry back, we just took the empty plates back in the morning. Good food and reasonably priced and nice to have a full roast without having to cook it!
The staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful/
I used to holiday at Cromer as a child, we'll be back again soon in our own motorhome

To Find Site:- The campsite has direct access off the A149 between East Runton and Cromer.
This campsite is situated just back from the sea a little way out of Cromer on the North Norfolk coast. This site is open all year. There are two oblong pitching areas which have hardstanding pitches around the perimeter and grass pitches on the inside of the site roads. As the site slopes some levelling will be required on most pitches. Ten of the hardstanding pitches are serviced with fresh water taps and grey waste disposal at an additional charge. Near to the entrance is a quite large tent field. Electrical connections are handy to all pitches and are rated at 16amps using blue CEE17 connectors. Each electrical bollard also has TV connectors but you have to provide your own cable or buy one from reception. Water and waste points are dotted around the site and at the entrance is a motorhome water refill and grey waste disposal point.
There is a single toilet block which is of an excellent standard and should cope under pressure of a full site. Rather unusually for a Caravan Club site Seacroft has an outdoor swimming pool and a bar/restaurant with both indoor and outside seating. We used the restaurant and found the food reasonable in both quality and price, also good to see a bottle of wine at a reasonable price. Additionally for children is an adventure style playground. The site should have site wide WiFi but at time of writing this was not fully working (intermittently in the restaurant area) which proved very inconvenient, particularly as there seems to be no 3G connections on some networks which can usually be used as an alternative. Reception sells a few essentials and papers can be ordered.
Cromer is within walking distance or a short bus ride away from directly outside the site entrance. Sheringham, in the other direction, is also worth a visit. The North Norfolk Railway starts from the car park. There are lots of places to visit within easy reach of the campsite and if you prefer not to use the car there are good bus links and the rail link from Cromer will take you to Wroxham and Norwich. For shopping there is a Morrisons in Cromer.
