Prior to arriving we received a letter stating that the clubhouse and pool area wouldn't be open as it was still being re-built, and would not be finished until mid July that didn't bother us as we had no intention of using the facilities as we have dogs.
A nice suprise was that the price was reduced accordingly.
Only about half the pitches were open as the middle grass areas have been re-worked and the hedging removed to an open plan layout, and these pitches were not in use yet.
The shower, toilet and water/waste facilities are up to the normal Caravan Club standard.
There is also a nice usable tent field open to non members, there was about ten tents on there at the May day bank holiday weekend.
The nice thing about this site is the ease of walking into Cromer or the Runtons, even Sheringham is walkable from here.
Will certainly be visiting it again.

Stayed for 2 nights over half term. Lovely staff and very clean site. We pitched on the centre field which we found a little cramped and the electric cables were very easy to trip over. I had to keep reminding the children to watch out for them. This would not have been a problem on the outer edge pitches where the electric hook ups were behind the caravan. The childrens playground is quite far from the pitches and a bit too close to the busy road. Fine or teenagers though.
Site was full but still no queues for the showers which were lovely and clean. The walk to the beach took a little longer than expected as some of the paths have been closed due to cliff erosion. If you have little ones you will need a buggy. Worth the walk though as the beach was really nice.
We would go again but would have one of the pitches on the outer edge.

We visited this site in June with our grandson who is only two. He loved it, we couldn't get him out of the pool. Weather a bit cool but the pool water was lovely and warm. Very friendly staff. The lounge/pub area very nice, we didn't try the food but it looked good. It is about a mile from Cromer town centre, nice walk on a summers day we Will definitely be going again.

We stayed at this site for 6 nights and the entertainment weds/fri/sat was great. Staff can't do enough for you, Swimming Pool is warm and the lifeguard Lauren is a sweetie and the Wardens are so lovely and pleasant. Showers/Toilets clean, warm and central on site. We are returning in 3 weeks time for 7 nights to one of the Caravan clubs most enjoyable sites. Walking takes 15mins to Cromer, 5 mins to the Beach. A must for all campers Caravan/Camper Vans/Tents. A visit to the RNLI to learn about Henry Bloggs musn't be missed.

We've just had a second weekend here camping with friends and associated children. Lovely, friendly site, with excellent play facilities in the corner of the camping field. We could pitch where we liked so could make a ring of tents which made it feel more fun and sociable. Swimming pool was great - 31C! - with paddling section perfect for toddlers, 1m shallow end, and a deep end of 2m; a life guard was always present. We were in it for hours! Shower and loo block is brand new and kept very clean. Plenty of hot water in the taps, and no queue. Quick 10 min walk to Cromer/ 20 mins if you're with young children. Nice bar, with live entertainment for those who like that sort of thing, and a games room with pool and air hockey. On our first visit it rained horribly, so we left early. There was no problem in getting money back for the extra days already paid for. If there was a down side, it would be that the camping field was the other side of the hedge from the main Cromer to Sherringham road so traffic noise could be a nuisance to some (nothing that couldn't be ignored after a glass or two of wine though).

We stayed here for 3 nights. The site has only be opened for two weeks after a long closure and is looked after by Gary & Laura really helpful friendly people ably assisted by very friendly staff. The toilet block is excellent clean warm and spacious. There are a variety of large pitches, serviced, hard standing and soft standing. On site there is a great little restaurant all food cooked fresh each day. An outdoor pool heated to 27c with life guard and childrens play ground in the tent field. Cromer itself is about a mile away and has every thing you could need great shops plenty of places to eat. Even though the three days we were here it drizzled the whole time we will definitely being going back.

We spent a week on this site last October, the site was pleasant and the wardens helpful. As others have said it is in easy walking distance of both East Runton (good fish shop) and Cromer itself, which if you have been out for the day and just want an evening stroll it is very well sited. Also sightseeing in the area is close by, we spent a wonderful morning watching the seals at Blakeney Point, and another very nice day at Pensthorpe bird centre. But then we did have wonderful weather,

We've just spent a couple of nights here and the site is superb. Judging by earlier reviews, the new owners (and the wardens) have done a great job getting the place up and running sensibly - it's almost as good as any other Caravan Club site. The shower block is in need of a little tender loving but it's spotlessly clean, is in sound condition and everything works perfectly. We're fussy old buggers yet had no qualms at all about using these facilities. The site was busy and most of the level pitches had gone, but we managed to find one which didn't need levellers. If you're in a motor home, take levellers with you to be safe and you'll be fine here. The pitches aren't the largest we've used, but were adequate. Many of them are bordered by hedges and bushes so you can get some privacy if you want it. An added bonus is that the site has a bar ran by a very friendly and effective young man. They're not doing food at the moment but I believe they have plans for next year. And the on-site open-air swimming pool is in use - when we were there a lifeguard was in attendance. The location is excellent for motor-homers wanting to leave the 'van on site. A short walk in either direction will take you to shops, pubs and restaurants. East Runton is about 5 minutes walking and the middle of Cromer will be maximum 10 minutes. Cliff-top walks are accessible within a few yards of site. Seacroft is already a fantastic site. This time next year I bet it'll be the best in the area.

We first came upon this site three years ago and found it to be a well run site. Most of the pitches were surrounded by a few shrubs and trees to add to your privacy and the feeling that you had not just pitched up in a farmers field. We had the opportunity to walk around and choose a pitch for our tent first alongside other tents and caravans. When I booked over the phone a few weeks ago I spoke to a lady who told me it had been taken over by the caravan club, so I was eager to see what they had done to improve things. But when I visited to stay for a long weekend 10th June I was gutted. The friendly welcome at the reception had turned into an incompetent bloke who looked like a gardener, he couldn't work out how much I was to be charged until the forth attempt. To my HORROR we could no longer pitch our tent in the secluded pitches we liked so much, because they ruin the grass! We could only pitch up on the field which is the playing area next to the DOGWALK !So when the kids aren't shouting and kicking the ball around people are walking past with their dogs so they can do their business just at the otherside of the hedge! Don't get me wrong, I like children and dogs but the very idea of only allowing tents in that area is ludicrous. We were so far away from the toilets and showers, the bar wasn't open as they were waiting for the licence, so the restaurant area in the conservatory was also off limits, they used to sell cups of tea or coffee, chips and burgurs but no longer. The swimming pool, which is it's only saving grace was closed most of the time because the lifeguard had sunstroke! It was the hottest weekend of the year and norfolk was the hottest part of the country.

I thought you would like to know, that we visited this site while staying at another site nearby. We were told that Seacroft had been purchased by the Caravan Club who took it over at Easter. They have already tidied it up and it looked o.k. and we were told that they will be going to make a lot of improvements to it over the winter.
