Have stayed at many Caravan Club run sites and always same high standard but felt this one was unusual in that the far field was so different from the front field which has nicely separated pitches and just row of pitches each side if the road.

The far field is quite sloping and just looked tatty with one big centre field although the ones round the edge were not bad.

Comments in visitors book were interesting with people saying that it didn't seem fair to charge same price for all plots.

Bar and restaurant were great, very comfortable and excellent food.

Excellent position for getting to Cromer and Sherringham with bus stops outside door and good walk for dog right behind site.

A superb site offering top class facility's & service. Highly Recommended

Location - On the coast road just outside Cromer

Pitches - Some of the central pitches are on a slight slope which would not be a problem but most are positioned across the slope, so ramps would be advisable, the hard standing pitches look reasonably flat & well drained, there are 2 service areas, one at each end of the main site.

Toilets / Showers - The toilet & showers are absolutely spotless, with good size showers cubical s all with fully adjustable flow / temperature control, the only bad point was the lack of showers cubicles, be prepared to Que if it`s busy !

Facilities - There is a shop, washing up areas, laundry facility & recycling facility's.

Children’s Entertainment - There is a small park, A small outdoor pool (shame there is no large areas away from the pitches for the kids to kick a football around.

WI-FI - Available all over the parks, but expect to be fleeced, £5 for 5 hours

£15 for 20 hours £40 for 100 hours !

Bar / Food - The bar serves good food with a great selection of drinks, make sure you get their early during high season other wise you will be left standing.

TV Reception - Most pitches have a TV aerial socket. The reception using the caravan aerial was poor, this may change with digital switch over at the end of 2011

Out & About - About 15 minutes walk is Cromer, Great day out, with loads of sandy beach, A superb pier (which is great and famous for crab fishing), a small town center, small fun fair (for the kids), cinema, museums & super markets.

Just down the road is Sherringham with its beautiful steam trains and lovely beach, a great Saturday market and a reasonable town center

I have returned here for another week this year as I said I would. Everything still the same as last year cleanliness and friendliness all brilliant. Out of eight nights had 4 nights entertainment in the club 2 singers - brilliant, a race night and bingo and quiz night. Also used the swimming pool and it's lovely and warm with a life guard on all the time it is open.

The club house was used more than when we went last year and the prices of the drinks are certainly better than they were in the pubs in Sheringham.

The coast hopper bus does not charge for dogs the sanders ones do.

Just returned from this site after staying for two weeks. We didn't want to leave it. The wardens are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are lovely and clean. The club is only small and does not cause any noise problems. We went a couple of times and really enjoyed the entertainment. We also ate in the restaurant and can recommend the Cumberland sausage and mash in a large Yorkshire pudding. The swimming pool is lovely and clean and heated. The top half of the site does appear overcrowded because of siting units in the centre of the field surrounded by other units but we were on a pitch round the edge so this really didn't affect us. Cromer itself is a short walk away and has a variety of shops but I do prefer Sheringham. The beaches are lovely. The one at Wells-Next-the-Sea is brilliant, very pretty next to the pine woods. We loved having the buses available on the doorstep. Really handy especially as the over 60's bus pass can be used. So many lovely places to visit. We can't wait to go again.

Our first time over this side of the country and we do not normally use biggish sites, but we were very pleased with this one,

The facilities, toilets showers laundry and dishwashing, are very very clean and very warm, the wardens are very pleasant and polite,

The pitches although not over sized are perfectly adequate, and it is only a 20 minute stroll from cromer. Sherringham is only a short bus ride away, the bus stop is out side the camp

We were very impressed, and we will definitely return soon.

My husband stayed for the weekend and then left me here for the week with the dogs. I loved the site, the wardens were the friendliest and the hardest working wardens we have seen they kept the place wonderfully clean and tidy all the time.

Good Points: Club house on site with good food and entertainment at weekends during the season. We were treated to a great group on the Saturday called 'Don't Ask'.

Two pubs and a club, bingo 7.30 Monday in one pub and the club and quiz in the pub on Monday at 9.30, mini market, chip shop and access to the beach in East Runton about 10 mins walk away.

About 20 mins walk to Cromer's shops - I had my bike with me so it was much quicker its slightly hilly but that means you only have to bike halfway to Cromer and free wheel the rest of the way, there is a zoo in Cromer and a cinema (did not go, Mary Janes has for years been known as the best chip shop.

The visitor centre has free internet access (just ask at desk for login code) you get an hour. Bus stop is right outside the site Sheringham and Holt great places to go shopping.

Bad Points: You have to walk or bike along a busy road to get out of the site - however towards Cromer its only a few hundred yards before you can leave the main road by going through a field (car park) to the cliff top or onto a quite estate to the right which leads to town also. I was lucky enough to get a great pitch hardstanding and flat with the sun (when it was out!) in my window all day. However there are some truly awful pitches on this site too, terrible slopes and small pitches in some cases.

Sad Points: This site is always booked up and so I thought it was because of the club house but sadly it does not seemed to be used enough. Those from the north however find the beer far to expensive and that's why they don't go in. But its such a lovely place please use it or we will loose it.

I will be going here again next year. Loved it.

 Location:

Cromer appears to be a bit of an overlooked location probably because it's a bit of a drive to get to from central UK - a good 2 hours plus from the A1 for example. That said it's worth the drive with loads to do in the area and Cromer itself a lovely seaside location (kids loved the crabbing off the pier). It's quaint without being exclusive and certainly not ruined by tacky 'kiss me quick' hats or the like.

CC Site itself:

Very busy and popular - make sure you book. Great facilities, nice bar, good little swimming pool and ample sized children’s play park. The camping area we were on was a bit on the cramped side but our caravan at 27' long could still be accommodated comfortably. The pitches closer to the site office are those that offer a bit more feeling of space though. Staff helpful and attentive. Overall a lovely place to stay and well worth the long drive to get there.

Just returned from a 2 week holiday at this site during school holiday season. It was fully booked throughout our stay and was our first time on a caravan club site. Reception and booking in was efficient and the wardens were on the ball throughout the stay

There were are a couple of occasions where football was being played near the caravans and young children racing around the site on cycles which were soon stopped by them. There is a mixture of grass and hard standing pitches and some were sloping.

One of the 2 pitching areas appeared a bit cramped as they put an extra row of caravans in the middle of the field, the other area therefore appeared much more spacious. Some of the perimeter pitches had hedged boundaries and these also appeared a bit short on space by the time the car was parked and the awning up.

The toilet / shower facilities are excellent and even though the site fully booked I didn't notice any queuing. The small bar with entertainment on each night was popular, particularly earlier on for the younger children's' disco. There were a good mix of acts throughout the fortnight.

There is an area with a pool table that is popular with older children to hang out together - dogs are allowed in the bar on a tiled area of the conservatory. The swimming pool was also very popular and had a lifeguard on duty.

Cromer is a pleasant walk taking about 15 minutes to get into the town. Dogs are allowed on designated areas of the beach which are clearly identified. A five minute walk in the opposite direction takes you to East Runton which has good access to the beach, a couple of shops and a couple of pubs - both dog and sprog friendly.

There are a lot of nice places to visit in this part of Norfolk and I would recommend this site particularly for a family holiday at this time of year.

Having just got back from seacroft I would like to inform UKCampsite.co.uk members that this is a lovely site. Some pitches are quite small but we pitched opposite the club and they were a decent size.

The staff are very nice as are all the facilities.

A short walk into cromer there are plenty of shops and pubs etc. All very dog friendly if you are away with your four legged friends.

Would definitely visit this site again

Excellent site within walking distance of Cromer.

Some of the pitches are quite small, we found that the bottom field on the right was the best we managed to just about squeeze our 26ft twin axle, huge awning and car onto a pitch but had to put the bedroom pod overhanging on the grass behind but this wasn't a problem as on this field there were no pitches behind us unlike the top field which looked very cramped. There was a large grassed area to the rear of our caravan which was great for the children to play on and hunt for abundant ladybirds! Site was quiet with no noise problems at all and even though we were fairly near to the clubhouse the entertainment was not overly loud so the site was quiet at night.

Children had a fabulous time in the swimming pool which also has a lifeguard so it felt very safe even for the younger ones.

Club was ok, entertainment was enjoyed by the children and a separate area with sofas and pool table etc was popular with the older children and teens. Food was reasonably priced and the portions were of a decent size too.

Small children’s play area on the tent field which was more than adequate.

Overall an excellent site will be returning again.
