We have just spent 2 nights mid week (21st&22nd)
On arrival we were impressed at how well the sight was maintained. Check in was easy and fast. The staff were all lovely and very helpful and cheery. Nice clean pool and changing facilities. We were pitched near the play area which was great for our 6yr old.
The rally room is a great idea, just a nice size, though it might get a bit crowded when the site is full.
We would recommend this site to our friends and family and will definitely be going back.

Just spent a lovely weekend on this site. Two adults, two boys and our dog. Speedy check in at reception and staff friendly. We were given pitch 23 and it was a great spot-adjacent to the children's play area, swings slides & climbing frames for young & older children.
All the facilities where in easy reach from our pitch so will definitely be asking for same pitch again. The ground is not quite level but all in all didn't cause us a problem with our tent but did with our side extension but we just did the best we could. Shower facilities were very clean but are in need of a refurb, and one shower for such a big site is sure to cause problems during school holidays.
The little shop was reasonably priced and handy for morning newspapers but would have preferred it to open earlier than 9am. Pot washing facilities located in a little room which is great when raining also facility for refreezing your ice blocks.
Pool was small but clean not too happy about having to pay extra for this- we paid £34 p/night so think this should include all facilities.
Dog walk was ok- not big enough and very muddy, but was told that this is going to be improved very soon.
The Bentley Brook pub is a 15min walk and allows dogs in the pub upto 8pm, food was ok also children's play area and field to play football. Will go again.
Ashbourne is only a 3 mile from site.
The Rally room was also handy, wood burning stove nice table/chairs for playing board games or just relaxing with a book.
All in all we will be visiting this site again we had a lovely time and the site is nice even liked the hanging baskets & planters- nice little touches. Marks out of 10. 8.

Site well laid out. Large pitches with decent views. Located well for access to the Tissington Trail & surrounding area.
Shop well stocked, pool good(must pre book a slot) and a nice rally room with TV. Play area good for little ones.
Slight negative --- the hand basins always had hot water, but the showers were tepid at best, but mainly freezing cold. I would hope the management address this issues asap.
Overall, good site and would go back again.

We arrived & were taken to the 'over flow' field, the grass had been cut, however the grass was left too long with the cuttings left everywhere, which was a pain as we had grass everywhere. When the rain started, mixed together with mud & grass cuttings it was a complete nightmare! It was a shame, as the grass everywhere else on the site looked good.
The field soon became a boggy mess & we had to be towed off the field. The field is on a slope & we did start to worry the cars could easily have slipped & crashed into one of the tents! Not happy campers at all!
The showers were very hit & miss, we were told when booking porto showers would be installed for the Bank Hol weekend, this didn't happen. The site wasn't that full, however we did have to queue for a shower.
The pool was nice, clean & a welcomed distraction for the children.
The 'rally room' was a great idea, clean & relaxing esp when not too busy.
The take away was good & reasonably priced.
We left a day early. We thought it was very expensive considering the facilities were so dated & didn't work properly.
I wish the new owners well, but we will not be returning.
Ashbourne is a lovely Town. Tissington Trial is great with the old railway tunnel leads into the Town.

We have visited this site around 4 times now over the last year and can say we've seen the good the bad and the ugly. Last week all we can see is how much things have changed for the better, there are new managers of the park that seem to be more with it shall I say.
Very happy smiley people who made us feel so welcome.
There is a great swimming pool ( need it because its just rain rain rain at the minute), Kids park,
Take away on site is very nice and well priced,
Site itself clean and tidy safe for the kids.
I would say if you have not been here before then try it and don't be put of by some of the reviews because I was but so glad I did not belive them all.
Now for the bad bit: shower blocks were closed due to repair work or something yet again, but was told by a lot of people there having new ones Posh ones (we will see).
Next time I go I will let the sun out of my bag so take your sun cream.

We've been to many sites and we loved coming back to here.
Great play area for the Kids.
Fab in door pool.
Take away on site very good & very well priced.
Dog walk.
Shop well stocked and very well priced.
Rally room with large TV.
May this year we decide to gone seasonal on this site. I do have to say that it is one the best things we've ever done, our 7 year son loves it here and wants to come and meet his friends & new children on site every weekend. I feel the site is very safe, the Staff on site are fantastic, I would like to Comment that the new managers who took over in June time are brilliant with all the kids, and nothing is to much trouble for them. They are always looking how to make our stay better for all of us, big plus the site has just had wiFi installed.
I have read mixed reviews on this site, I would say come and give it a try, has we all know in life we can't always please everybody.

Great little site with everything you could possibly want ie. shop, takeaway, friendly staff, pool, good ground and great location.
We stayed for three nights on may bank holiday.
Staff did plenty of walks after dark to make sure the peace was kept, and it was a lovely quiet site.
Even after two weeks of solid rain the ground was pretty good.
Other reviews I have read are pretty fair regarding the loos, but give it a go! maybe I will see you there.
We had a party of first time campers with us and that thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a lovely park situated in the middle if the Derbyshire dales
The reception staff were lovely and very friendly
As we were quite new to caravanning they came and helped us pitch up giving some helpful tips
There is a little bar area that is quite quaint
There is a little ( tiny) shop for basics so you need to stock up before or at supermarket nearby
There is an indoor swimming pool that is probably best for little children. Beware though it gets booked up in advance so this could cause upset with little ones
It is very nicely set next to part of the tissington trail and in walking distance of a couple of nice pubs serving real ales and food
We enjoyed our stay here and will go again

We visited Ashbourne heights last weekend and really enjoyed it. We were pitched up right next to the park which the children loved playing on and it gave us some adult time knowing the children were safe and in hearing distance.
We used the on site take away on our first night which we thought was fairly priced. I wouldn't recommend using the swimming pool as it was filthy with dirt, scum and grime all around the inside of the pool on the tiles. It also had a lot of chemicals in with made our eyes sore.
The showers were ok although they were on timers which gave you 3 minute then you had to push the button again, they were free though!
I was a bit of a pain that they closed at 8am to be cleaned they should clean them earlier as they are really busy.
We would visit again but probably go for a 3 day swimming pass at the local leisure centre.

We quite often pop up for a night at Ashbourne Heights, despite only living literally 3 miles away in the town of Ashbourne!
We always have a fab time here, and as you can never guarantee the weather, it is ideal for us to pop up last minute on a sunny weekend, set up besides the kids park and be able to relax with friends whilst the children play safely and in eye sight!
We first came to this park when we first got our trailer tent just to test it out somewhere local but it felt so relaxed hence why we pop back occasionally.
The staff are always really friendly and helpful, the toilet blocks clean and I've never known them full and busy. The cafe take out is great too.
Not tried the pool to be honest however being local I have heard that the do swimming lessons for children so can't be that bad.
